Hard to believe that there's a better place to stay if you want to get a real "feel" for Bruges. It's an easy 2 km drive to the rail station where you can park all day for 3,5 Euros and get a free bus to the middle of town. Our room was superb, with every convenience, and the owner was pleased to honor a couple of special requests. The breakfast was very special with fresh bread and pastries, meats, cheese, fruit, choice of juices, smoked salmon, and more. This must be the best deal for a travelling couple and the price includes WIFI, parking, and the grand breakfast.
Location.
Located in Bruges (Bruges Center), Golden Tulip De Medici Hotel is close to Bruges Town Hall, Bruges Market Square, and Basilica of the Holy Blood. Also nearby are Bruges Belfry and Groenigemuseum.

"Golden Tulip de Medici Hotel, Brugges"
Overall OK but definitely NOT a 4 Star hotel. Staff helpful, decent breakfast, but poor comfort. Equal to a 2 Star hotel in the US. But rates are decent. Had it been rated a 3 star, I would have been less disappointed.

"Perfect Reasonable for a Weekend In Bruges"
We stayed here in Feb and at the time of our stay the weather didnt go above -8 degrees! The rooms were very clean and warm and had all the necessities needed including tea and coffee and mini bar no super luxuries but has everything you need. The hotel is a pretty 1km/10min walk from the centre of the town along the quays and around there is the choco-story […] museum and one or two other sights with also a street of restaurants for an evening meal about 5mins walk away. Breakfast was included in the deal we got which was really nice, full American or Continental served until 11am on the weekends and we were able to have it delivered to our rooms There was a Japanese restaurant in the hotel but we didn't dine there as it was quite quiet. We drove to Bruges and the hotel had sufficient parking for the car at a fee. Overall a lovely stay and I would recommend it to friends and family without question. Read more
"Nice hotel. Limited restaurant facilities"
Hotel is lovely. Good location. Parking on site. Walking distance to centre. Great breakfast choice. Japanese and Italian restaurants on site but Italian was fully booked on Sat night and the Japanese charged 14Euro for a hot fruit salad and ice cream and menu choices were also very limited on the Sat night...that having been said, restaurant staf were […] lovely, main course was delicious and the experience was good. "Hotel medici"
The hotel was very comfortable and ideally situated. The only things that spoilt it were the very slow internet service and an unpleasant woman receptionist. The carpet in the breakfast room needs changing urgently.

"hôtel bien situé"
l'hôtel est très bien situé, proche du centre avec un bus juste à côté permettant de rejoindre la gare. Le personnel à l'accueil n'est pas très accueillant contrairement au personnel du room service qui est très sympathique.
Seul problème, j'avais demandé un lit double sur la réservation et nous avons obtenu deux lits jumeaux

"Das Hotel Tulip de Medici in Brügge"
Das Hotel entspricht in allen Punkten der Beschreibung. Wir waren fünf Tage da und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Lediglich der Preis für den Internetzugang auf dem Zimmer halten wir für unangemessen hoch. Da wäre der kostenlose Zugang ein echter Service!

"Golden Tulip? More like Silver Tulip to me"
My wife and Istayed one night in the Golden Tulip Hotel De Medici. It wasn't bad, but overal we weren't too impressed for the price we paid. The hotel is clean and in a good location within walking distance of the beautiful buildings in the centre of Bruges. The rooms are ok, but the matrass on the bed was in urgent need of replacement. It didn't give […] any support. The bathroom was ok, but the lack of shower curtain resulted in a wet floor. The spa facilities are very small and no bathrobes or slippers are provided in the room, so you have to either bring your own or change in there. Breakfast is available, but not included in the standard price, which is a pitty. When you're in Bruges, you don't spend a lot of time in the room, so overal it was still ok. Un hôtel très accueillant où le personnel est agréable. Les chambres sont grandes, propres et bien équipées. Le centre ville est à 10 minutes à pied de l'hôtel. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.
"J'y retourne sans hésiter"
Nous avons trouvé l'hôtel très calme et les chambres étaient impeccables. le personnel a été charmant et nous avons vu pu bénéficier d'une place de parking pour nos motos. Petit déjeuner international. A revoir la déco de la réception qui commence à faire un peu rétro.
