Electra Palace Hotel Thessaloniki - Thessaloniki

I stayed here for 3 nights 4 days. This is far from a 5star hotel. The balcony pool has been closed and 'under construction' since (my guess) Greece's economy crash. All of the A/C in the building doesn't work, all of the showers in the building don't drain efficiently (end of shower you'll have water past your ankles slowly trying to drain). The breakfast […] what you would expect of a 2 or 3 star hotel.. Very low quality... There are no beaches within walking distance as one would be lead to believe based on some minor google research. They don't offer any additional services such as bus tours. The house keeping people constantly check in on you which can become annoying, so hang up the do not disturbe sign anytime you're in the room (even for sleeping). The prices of drinks in the hotel bar are outrageous and not worth the money or time to drop by. The surrounding area is nothing to brag about either. It seems as though everything is under construction that halted since their economy crash, and there are many businesses that are no longer open or are closing. Over all, this particular city and hotel is at the bottom of my list of places visited. I don't recommend staying in this hotel or Thessaloniki Greece while they are still going through their economy issues. Read more

The Electra Palace is in a great location in Aristotle Square in the heart of Thessaloniki. Very nice hotel, with a good rates considering how nice the place is. It's not cheap, but it's worth the price.

I defintely dont think this is a 5 start hotel. I would give it a 3.5 star(not even 4 for sure). The cleaniness of room is bad. The carpet is old old and bed and bed sheets are not fresh as I would expect from a 5star hotel. Check in was long due to increased and significant security measures. They were bothersome when we were required to go through them on every entrance and exit. Had I known I would have stayed elsewhere. Desk staff distracted and not very friendly.

The best location to stay in Thessaloniki - right in the centre, near the promenade, cafes, restaurants, bus stops and leading onto Thessaloniki's nicest square. Comfort and cleanliness were first rate. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and helpful staff. The swimming pools are not really deep enough for swimming and I had hoped that the hotel might have had more of its original period feel but it has been quite fully renovated. I would definitely stay here again for a great Thessaloniki experience.

Excellent hotel in a superb position. Only one real criticsm, there are only 2 lifts, they are pedantic & slow & subject to EARLY overload, only 3 persons at a time and this is without luggage.

The hotel has an excellent location right in the centre of Thessaloniki. Also a wonderful rooftop bar/restaurant with beautiful views of the city. Having breakfast there is one of the best parts of staying at this hotel. The room we were given was quite spacious and comfortable, but nothing special.

A very nice hotel with excellent location for shopping sightseeing and dining. The view from the roof restaurant/pool area was stunning. Fresh breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that great so we used the spa inside, it was ok.

Great hotel. Have stayed there before. Decent breakfast for a 4-star hotel, could have been better though. Great location, view is just perfect from Roof Garden. My romantic date totally sucked, but have no complaints about the hotel. People at reception desk very friendly and polite.

location of the hotel is right in the center. Hotel has own restaurant on the roof with a fantastic view to the harbor. Promenade is 50m away, shopping possibilities are more than enough there. Pricing niveau is higher than normal = exclusive shops. Nightlife/Restaurants starts/busy up 21.30h.

Gia' conoscevo questo hotel. Si trova in pieno centro, è bello e confortevole. Comodi i due ristoranti, uno sul terrazzo e l'altro collegato alla hall. La suite aveva un bellissima vista sulla piazza e sul mare. Ottima la colazione ed anche la Spa, anche se piccola.
