I recently stayed here with my girlfriend for a night. It was okay, a little noisy and strangely laid out. Seemed a bit overpriced for what we actually received. The hotel restaurant rushed us and it was a little dingy. The worst offense though was that the hotel itself never entered us into their system. So technically, we were not staying at the hotel. Sounds great, right? Free room! No, I still had to pay, and worse, at one point when I was in the shower, the hotel staff BROKE INTO MY ROOM. They said they called, but when they found the door locked and a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door, they just had to get inside. As I mentioned earlier, as I wasn't in the system, they thought the room was vacant, but why they ignored a bolt-locked door and a DO NOT DISTURB sign is beyond me. The best hotel management could do is offer me a discounted rate for a later stay. One that I'll probably never leverage. Horrible.

DJ practically had any song you asked whether it was Salsa, Hip Hop, Latin, etc. He did know his stuff. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in your hotel 2 weeks earlier than this stay. The second room was not as well maintained as the first room. The shower valve required a muscle man to turn the valve. There was no toilet paper rack. The AC was very loud and the fan blow right over the bed instead of dispersing around the room. AC fan needs adjustable louver so the air can be aimed instead of directly over the bed.

The weekend we stayed here there was a huge dance convention. They failed to mention that on saturday night the parking lot would be overwhelmed with cars. Even the blocks nearby were filled with cars. We spent two ours trying to compete for a spot with people who didn't even pay for a room. Management offered nothing to rectify the problem and made us feel second class. I wouldn't waste my time again with this hotel's supposed 'free'parking because apparently it's free for the whole neighborhood. It isn't something you would want to worry about on a trip.

Hotel was very clean and the customer service was great. The room was so clean, it looked like it had new carpet and furniture. The bed was the most comfortable bed I had slept in in a hotel. I liked that I couldn't hear my neighbors, too! The ONLY thing I could think of that could use improvement was the A/C in the common areas of the hotel. It was a bit muggy/hot there, but the room temperature was perfect. Also, it was tricky to get there, internet directions were wrong, but once I figured out the freeway situation, it was fine. My weekend stay was very enjoyable at the Four Points.

Check in is at 3pm. We got in at 4:30pm Sat (Labor Day weekend). We specified double full beds when we booked on Hotel.com (yes, there was a disclaimer that request may not be accomodated). The counter clerk said there's no more double beds available, so he gave us a Single King. He also asked whether we wanted 1st,2nd or 3rd floor rooms. We didnt care at the time and was given one of the first floor. Bad service 1: There was only 1, yes ONE bath towel (several hand towels). We had to ask several times for someone to get us more towels, and they came wih only 1, yes, only ONE more bath towels. Bad service 2: We called operator to request more bath towels, but NO ONE picked up the phone! After several calls! We ended up asking the cleaning lady for more towels. Bad service 3: We showered, all total about 1hr (cuz of having no towels), and figured we needed a 2nd or 3rd floor room because our 1st floor was next to the pool and we had no privacy if we want to open the curtains. Well, clerk came back with "No other rooms available except 1st floor!!"...this was about 1hr after we checked in and was given a choice previously!. Bad service 4: We complain about the towels to the "Manager" as we go out for dinner. The "Manager" said by the time we get back, there would be towels in our room. When we came back - yup, you guest it. NO NEW TOWELS! Bad problem 5: We also found when we came back that our bathroom floor was wet with a puddle of water! There was a leak from the ceiling! Bad service 6: We asked for another room and was given another one on the third floor (yup, that wasn't available previously!!). Bad problem 7: Our new room was a smoking room...just open the door and get a whiff even before walking in. We made it clear we wanted a non-smoking room. Bad service 8: The "Manager" said there were no other rooms available - all booked! Not a single one available, since it was late Sat during the Labor Day weekend. Not only is The Four Points by Sheraton in San Diego in a location that is isolated and inconvenient, the room was uncomfortably warm and stuffy when we checked in. It took too long for the ancient air conditioner to cool things down. Worst of all, after spending a day playing at the beach and only wanting to freshen up with a shower upon arrival at the room before heading to the Gaslamp District, we were checked into a room with no soap!!! We discovered this on our own because no one at the front desk bothered to mention the housekeeping staff had run out of soap when servicing the rooms. When I called down, I was told soap was being purchased for the guests' rooms and we would be supplied with some shortly. It took over an hour and a half before any soap arrived at our room!!! Good luck if you stay here!

I've stayed here at least 6-7 times now and it seems the quality may be going down just a tad, but I'd stay here again. The grout in the tub was mildewy and the tub leaked water onto the floor, twice. Not to mention the air conditioner was l-o-u-d... wow it was like a semi-truck barreling through the room. At any rate, the bed was extremly comfortable while the remainder of the room was clean. The guest service rep wasn't too friendly initially while no rooms were available at the 3 p.m. check-in time. (That's never happened before during my previous stays.) The only alternative offered was to go to the mall or go eat. I opted to wait 20 mins and see if anything opened up and luckily it did. Plus, I attempted to order room service three times and unfortunately, no one picked up the phone after 7 rings. Bottom line, I had a great night's sleep, the hotel was quiet (even with a wedding and meeting going on), and the maid was helpful with providing extra towels.

One main point - asked for a roll-away with linens & towels for our son who stayed with us for one night of our 3 night stay. The desk didn't want to take the info Sat night, said to come back Sunday morning. We asked Sun morning, was told no problem it would be taken care of. Upon return Sun night @ 9:30pm - no rollaway, linens or extra towels! Front desk apologized, said 15 min. Well, numerous requests over the next 45 minutes finally got us the rollway, but I was told by the maid "the hotel is out of pillows" and got no extra towels either. Took another 45 minutes to finally get a pillow, towels and then an extra trip to get a washcloth! Unbelievablely bad service by the maid staff. Front desk clerk was trying though. Additionally, could not print our boarding pass-printer didn't work and hotel info on TV states complimentary water in your refrigerator - But, not really - you can "request" one bottle per guest per day. Will not return to this hotel. Have to go to San Diego often too.

I would say that overall I got exactly what I paid for. The hotel was meant to be a place to stay and not a luxury spa all inclusive location. I noticed that in some of the other reviews there were some guests who said that the room was too small, it was an average size room as you would see in most hotels. If you want a larger room, pay more and upgrade! Did it look like a prison or hospital, yes, but only because of the layout with each floor having a square balcony. The front exterior looked ok, but the back was a little outgrown, but I only went back there to walk my dogs, so it did not matter that much. Would I stay there again, yes! Would I recommend others, yes!

The hotel itself was nice. It is set up different from any other hotel I've ever been to. It has corridors that are open and you can see up to the third floor. Kind of like a mall. It was different but okay. The room was nice but had an old school TV, I expected a flat screen. I was waken up from a dead sleep (you know how loud the hotel phones are) when I received a courtesy? call at 11:00 p.m. to tell me there was a complaint about the noise from my room. I was a little disoriented and explained maybe he dialed the wrong number. The worst part came in the morning when I made coffee (there was also a microwave and fridge). I took my shower and went to get coffee. There was none. I did all the trouble shooting, check to see if it's on, check GFI, change outlet, even moved it to the bathroom:(. Still it didn't work. I called the main desk and it rang busy over and over again, I called housekeeping and I had to leave a message. Needless to say I never got a call or my coffee. Overall the stay was okay. If you're a coffee drinker you may want to test out the coffee maker the night before.
