"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.

"Great Location!"
Such a variety of restaurants all within 5 minutes walk from the hotel doorstep. Friendly and accomodating staff. Very close to the airport!

Surrounded by many good restaurants in a very central location in Richmond. Very good condition and the over all service was very good. This one will be my first pick hotel when I visit Richmond again.
"A basic hotel for a night"
Everything looks fine, clean, fake-smile staff, lots of restaurant... However, you could hear your neighbor taking a shower, flash the toilet, even washing hands! It is all right if you hear it during the day time, but it is very annoying in the middle of the night!! I do not think I will stay once more, because I can find lots of spotless clean, nice […] staff hotel in Vancouver. Read more
"Not great for couples"
Room clean. Bed comfy. Black out curtains great. Lotions and Shampoo, mediocre. Hotel Staff nice and friendly. Hotel clean and kept up. Shuttle to airport was nice (although we had to wait longer than 15 minutes for a pickup/drop off). We stayed in a King Single room, which was way too small for a couple. We felt like we were in the broom closet. […] The walls are thin and a bit noisy. We could hear our neighbors showering and using the restroom. We were right next to elevator and that was a bit loud too. (stay away from room #x16, which is right next to elevator). We should have spent $10-$20 more a night for a little bit more luxury elsewhere. Not the most interesting area but good location for chinese food, access to airport and sky train into downtown, city center. Read more
"Comfortable & efficient near YVR"
Very new hotel; good beds and quiet rooms; in-room coffee and bottled water and complimentary morning newspaper. Shuttle to aiprort every 30 min and inummerable restaurants within walkin distance in this dominantly Chinese neighborhood. Only downsides are $10/day for parking and some problem getting their Internet system to work on my new MacBook (but […] I was assisted by desk staff so got it gonig eventually). Read more

"Great Hotel for Vancouver Airport Stopover"
This hotel is an excellent choice for a stopover at YCR. The shuttle bus is excellent and parking is also freely available. There is a very good choice of Asian restaurants near the hotel
super friendly staff. no in-room safe.

"Needs major improvement in service"
For the last ten years my wife and I have been staying at the Four Points at a bi-annual basis. Our stay this time was simply a major dissappoinment. First of all, after a long drive from California we were trying to get into our rooms we experienced that our keys did not work. We had to drag ourselves and our bags to obtain another set of keys we found […] out we have no towels in our room. We checked out on 08/19 and returned on 08/20 and checked in to our room and realized our room had a strong smell of smoke. To cap it all, we were rudely interrupted at 8.05 am from the housekeeping crew to clean our room. How should we be compensated? Read more
"Super!"
Great service, very clean room. great location in Richmond.
"Great location for good Chinese food"
You can compare this hotel to a Courtyard, the rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Comparing to most Courtyards I have stayed in with the price of $80-$120, the Four Points Sheraton was a bit more. The only negative point for this hotel is that they charge you $10/day for parking, GST and PST tax so it comes out to around $11/day. […] The price you pay for a room should really cover the parking. Good Chinese restaurants all around the hotel if you enjoy Chinese food. Overall, I was pleased with this hotel and would stay there again as long as the price range is around $80-$120. I hope parking will be free the next time around. Read more

"Shuttle Service Absolutely SUCKED!!!!"
I have stayed at this hotel several times before usually arriving late night while passing through Vancouver. One of the attractions is their free shuttle service which is USUALLY prompt and friendly. Unfortunately this was not the case when I arrived Feb 29th after midnight. When I called the hotel I was told the shuttle would be there in 15 minutes […] (they expected my late arrival) After 45 minutes some clown shows up in a beat up shuttle and is not just shuttling passengers to the 4 Points Sheraton but also to another Sheraton. He was yelling at the passengers for having so much luggage and made several senior citizens carry their own luggage up the stairs and onto the shuttle. Several of the seniors struggled with their luggage and this buffoon was nowhere to be found so I assisted them myself before someone collapsed. During the entire ride to the hotel this moron driver complained out loud to everyone that we shouldn't of had so much luggage - what a complete idiot!!! When I got off at the hotel this idiot expected to be tipped. I don't think he realized how close he was to being punched in the mouth. For such a decent hotel, it was very VERY lousy shuttle service. Read more

"Good Hotel - Friendly Staff"
I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now. It is a nice clean hotel and the staff are extremely friendly. The shuttle service was prompt and the drivers were very courteous. My only issue with this place is that it is hard to get food. Both times I was passing through Vancouver (arriving at 10pm and leaving at 6am to catch a flight). The restaurant […] hours did not accomodate this schedule at all and there was no 24 hour room service. Other than the food issue, this is a good place to stay. Read more
"4 Points Sheraton - Airport Stop Over"
My family and I were on a one night stop over in Vancouver and stayed at the Sheraton. The hotel met all our needs for the night. Quick free shuttle from/to the airport, beds were comfortable, free internet, and we could not hear any outside noise including the flight path over the hotel. Perfect for a good nights sleep and stay at the hotel. As well, […] there are tons of restaurants around the hotel with endless options which was great for dinner. The one disappointing part was the breakfast. It was listed as continental and only included only muffins, croissants, sliced cinnamon buns, and weak coffee. It was ok, but not great. If it had some bread and fruit, it would have made a HUGE difference I would definitely stay at the Sheraton again. I was overall a good hotel and met all of our needs for the night. Read more
room rate is high compare with other hotels in the same area
"Water, Coffee, Telephone"
2 people stayed. They served only 1 bottle of free water a day - "1 bottle for 2 people a day". I asked one more bottle, the staff replied " I'll give you one more only today". I asked the staff to deliver additional coffee bag to my room . The staff said, "you can drink coffee in the lobby". They charged for local telephone call while other hotels(I […] have stayed) do not charge for the local call up to 30 min. Read more
"You Need To Know"
There are two Sherraton shuttle busses that run to the airport. Be sure you take the correct one or you will have to cab it over to the right one because they won't arrange your travel.
"Angered by reception and transfer"
On arrival at this hotel, we were asked by the Front Desk Manager to transfer to another Sheraton across town for the 'flimsy' reason that "some suitcases still remained in the rooms we were to occupy". Whilst waiting for the necessary transfer paperwork, we noticed other guests being checked in without any problem. We can only presume that the predominently […] oriental nature of this hotel, all visible Staff and the guests checking in were very different from our caucasian background. The other Sheraton hotel we were transferred to did not have this same oriental emphasis and was not of such a high standard as the Four Points Sheraton appeared to be. This change added significantly to our journey and, for all the above reasons as well, consequently cannot recommend this hotel. Read more
Thank you for your comments, we unfortunatley on occasion find our selves having to relocate guests due to an overbooked situation. We base our decision on who to relocate predominatly on length of stay, as we find most people who are staying multiple nights find it a further inconvinience to come back to the hotel aftet being relocated. It is quite possible the guest checking in at the same time as you may have a reservation for multiple nights.
1 response by Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport"Four Points Sheraton Vancouver"
A fairly decent hotel, very much in Richmond, a neighborhood adjacent to the airport, not an airport hotel as the name implies. Richmond is a very Asian area, Chinese and other Asian stores abound, you could be in Shanghai or Hong Kong! The staff were attentive and friendly, the facilities were adequate and the room was clean. In my opinion, the rooms […] are underserved by only two elevators, and I waited a significant amount of time when I used them. Read more
"Hotel was good but Shuttle Service was very BAD!"
We landed and had to wait over an hour for the shuttle to come pick us up from the airport. Geeez this was a 10 minute drive, every time we called the hotel we were told the shuttle is on its way. Other than that the hotel was fine, I think next time we might pay the extra $50 and stay at the airport hotel. At least then we would have no issues with […] getting to the hotel. Read more

"Four Points Sheraton - will return"
We went here on an over-night get away and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was decked out for Christmas, so it was truly beautiful. We had been concerned about noise - either from the airplanes or Lansdowne road, but neither proved a problem at all (we heard absolutely nothing). Breakfeast (Canadian) was tasty and quickly served, and the staff […] accomodated my food sensitivity with no problems. We did not get to use the work out room, but it looked adequate. Sadly, there is no pool, but we can't always get everything we look for. We look forward to returning to this hotel in the future. Read more
The hotel was very appealing, warm and cozy, the beds were comfortable and the front desk very helpful. I would come back a stay again.
"Four Points by Sheraton - Vancouver Airport"
We arrived from Mexico on a late flight and checked in at about 1:00 am. Check in was prompt and the staff friendly. Room was small, hoever, the beds were very comfortable and that was important after a long flight. Was a little disappointed to find that there was a $10.00 overnight charge for parking and that I had to go back out to my car to place […] a parking decal on it. Most hotels in the airport area do not charge for parking. Check out was prompt. You do get the noise from airplanes being so close to the airport. For the price it was not worth it and I would probably stay at other hotels with better value for basically the same ammenities. Read more
