I recently stayed at your hotel, August 21st to the 24th, 2012. While the size of the room, the bed linens and the close proximity to beautiful beaches was a plus there were some serious flaws. My sisters and I chose FourPoint Sheraton for Sheraton's well known standard of quality, this hotel did not measure up. There was an odor about the bathroom […] that was slightly musty perhaps because the tub was slow draining. The toilet seat was broken and sadly when this was brought to the front desk's attention, it was not corrected. The hallways and room doors were very tired looking and in need of painting and rug cleaning. We were on the second floor but there was not an elevator so we had to "lug" our bags up a flight of stairs. Definitely not a Sheraton standard. We went to the outside pool one day and were met with a beautiful looking pool with a six inch line of dirt at the water mark. Not very inviting! And lastly the overall feel of the lobby was cold! "Motel camouflaged as hotel"
The Four Points Sheraton is clearly a refurbished motel. There are two floors with no elevator, and the rooms are arranged in such a way that people staying in the outside rooms can park their cars in front of their own rooms-- which is standard for motels but not for hotels. The inside rooms probably overlooked a parking lot on the other side at one […] time, but that has now been enclosed and made into an indoor pool. We asked for a quiet room and were given an inside room on the second floor, so we were protected from parking lot noise, but in exchange got a certain amount of noise from the pool (which carries because of the echo effect of the large enclosure). The room itself was decent and clean, and the chambermaids were all very nice. However, the amenities were minimal: soap, shampoo, and conditioner (from dispensers in the bathtub), hair drier, small refrigerator, and a (flimsy and leaky) coffee maker. This is slightly more than what a motel normally offers, but less than what one can expect from a very basic hotel. The staff at the front desk were pleasant, but the service they extended consisted of the very minimal attention one usually gets at a motel. However, the description we read on the Expedia site led us to expect a full-service hotel, and the price was also that of a hotel. Our experience was therefore very disappointing. "Four Points Eastham - Close to a recommendation"
I stayed at the Four Points after seeing the quality of the rooms online and while the room was what was pictured, the atmosphere was not. Let me explain. I was assigned to a room adjoining the Indoor Pool area. Which could've been nice, given that there was a nice little indoor balcony overlooking the pool area. However, the constant noise from the […] pool area was very distracting and despite closing at 10pm, there were kids screaming in the pool area until well past 10:30 every night. Also, since there are many lights to light up the porches/balconies/pool area, it would've been nice to pull a curtain to drown out the light. In fact, this no doubt would have cut down on the noise "pollution" from the pool area as well. Alas, the room only had a sheer curtain so sleeping and overall relaxation was minimized. I suspect that had I received one of the non-pool rooms, my experience would've been tremendously better. If you book a room here, expect either noise, lots of light, and no way to drown it out. There is a restaurant on site that serves very good food, if you do not have time to find another of the many excellent seafood places nearby. There are both inside and outside pools. We were doing some research in Eastham and Orleans so this location was excellent. We were there off season so the hotel was not crowded nor noisy in the evening. For what was the most expensive place around, this motel was certainly nothing special. I expected more. I am sure the others up and down Route 6 in the area were just as suitable for much less money. The housekeeping was poor. "Standard Sheraton at Outrageous Prices"
We were astounded to discover that there was literally no acceptable accommodations for a 1 night stay close to Provincetown in August, even booking 3 weeks out. This place had rooms, but at a steep premium, even for this seasoned traveller to Europe's big cities, etc... That said, the condition of the hotel and our rooms, the cleanliness and amenities […] offered, the quality of the buffet breakfast and the knowledgeable, friendly staff were all great. Tout était fermé. Nous arrivons à entrer grâce à des clients qui avaient une carte.
