Holiday Inn Runcorn - Cheshire (county)

This was a nice and clean hotel - and located perfectly between Manchester, Liverpool, and Chester. I will be there again and I would recommend it to others. I did not use any of the food service so I cannot comment. But, the staff there was helpful and friendly.

I choose this hotel for its location which suited my business trip. The overall value was good, reasonable rates per night, comfortable rooms apart from the heating which was on one night but not the next. Restaurant offered good food at reasonable price too although wasnt happy about the 10% service charge.

We were visiting for a family event and the value and location of this hotel was excellent. Travelling with an 18 month old, the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

A nice looking room the wooden curtain / light blockers look great though there of course gaps for light to get through, good effect though. Warm room on a cold day, the loo W?C took 90 min to stop due to wear, but a trip to the nice Bar gave it time.

Stayed in a few Holiday Inns. This was a good one. Pool was excellent size and temperature (not cold), staff were excellent and very friendly, breakfast was usual high standard (son loved the new automatic pancake machine). Good location for exploring Chester etc.. Typical high standard that you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable though a bit small. We stayed here as we were out with friends in Runcorn. As it was just after Xmas the hotel was empty with very few staff and the bar was shut at 11pm. Breakfast was nice and cost £10 each and free for our son. Pool is good and the hotel is excellent for the money

Stayed in an executive double room. This is above the ground floor. Aspect to wooded area was pleasing. The accommodation block is separate from the bar and restaurant area which made for a nice quiet stay. Lovely open foyer with seating area, leading through covered walkway to rooms beyond. I found the staff particularly helpful, both generally and specifically. I needed some assistance from the kitchen with something that was above and beyond the norm, and they attended to it courteously and efficiently. The facilities and value were great, and i had a ploughmans platter that was superb. A big thumbs up for the hotel and its staff.

If you want to get away, but not too far away, then this hotel is perfect. Quiet surroundings close to Frodsham, with comfortable leisure facilities and fantastic staff. We have stayed there 3 nights in 2 visits and won't hesitate to go again. Best thing I can say is that the hotel was pretty close to the motorway. Room was tiny and toilet not clean. Ripped towel the size of a postage stamp provided.

The hotel was adequate and the breakfast was OK. The window screen in the room was broken but I couldn't be bothered to report it when we arrived as we were tired. It should have been checked when the room was prepared. I reported it when we left. The beds were twin wide beds placed together with very thin small duvets. I had prepaid this with hotels.com. My partner checked us in as he arrived before me. I told him I had paid. The receptionist asked for his card he told her the room was paid for she said she needed it incase we spent anything. On checking out he was told the room wasnt paid for. I went back in and she said yes everything is ok we will bill expedia. […] On the monday he checked his account and then found he had an amount taken from his card. We stayed on the same floor level as the conference rooms. Some of the rooms appeared to have been updated, ours however had not. The room itself was very compact. Not great lighting for getting ready (ladies!) Bath had mould growing inside the sealant around the bath. The air conditioning is pre set, and the room was far too warm. We had to open the […] windows which backed onto a busy car park (not great when your a light sleeper). The doors had self closers on so when your neighbours left their rooms you were awaken with a very loud bang. I've stayed in plenty of hotels and not had quite the same loud bangs when doors shut! Breakfast was help yourself buffet style and there was plenty of choice. The staff chatted very loudly to each other accross the room which was very off putting. We were even shouted to accross the room to ask if we were ok. Bar prices are very expensive! Fridge in room does not get very cold atall. Read more

Agréable séjour, personnel gentil, disponible contre toute attente. Hôtel bien situé, mais un peu loin du centre ville (LIVERPOOL MANCHESTER) voie rapide proche. Idéal pour un voyage en famille la piscine est magnifique et bien entretenue. On y retourne avec plaisir!!!
