Great location for visiting the numerous sites and attractions of Liverpool / Merseyside whilst being on the outskirts of the city itself. Fabulous building which is immaculately maintained being the old LiverpoolAirport. Staff very pleasant. Only complaint is that you have to pay for Internet service so we found ourselves walking over to Macdonalds on the retail park opposite where it is FREE! If you plan to spend most of your trip in Livedpool City Centre be aware that you would need some transport. Luckily taxis and public transport are readily available.

The stay at the Ramada Encore Crewe was extremely pleasant and quiet. Our rooms were clean too. The hotel is very close to the train station, as it is just down the road, which was very convenient for daily trips to London and Chester. It is also very close to Manchester too. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for nice, clean hotel that is situated in a quiet surrounding. Crewe itself was a nice little place to visit as well.

We were very pleased with the central location of the hotel. There was wonderful shopping and many restaurants right outside our door. The view from our 7th floor apartment was lovely (gigantic floor to ceiling windows). My only complaint would be the size of the bedrooms - it was difficult to find a place for our suitcases in the bedrooms. Everything else was great - we would definitely return!

stayed in a few in the city and this is by far the best. Our taxi driver reinforced this when we told him where we were staying. fantastic hotel!

"Chester"
This was a nice, spacious family-friendly hotel on the motorway. Great spot if you have a car, but not otherwise. Large indoor pool was a big hit with the 7 year old. Room was pleasant and comfortable and service was good. We were paying 50% more than a nearby travelodge and thought the service for price ratio was very good.
"Could do better"
We had booked a room with a double bed and a sofabed (we have a 2year old & a5 year old). We asked 3 times for bed linen to set up the sofabed (between7.30 and 8.30) before it finally came at 9pm - by then it was well past the 2yr old's bedtime. the sofabed should have been made up before our arrival (we had booked online)

"Very helpfully reception staff."
Had a very pleasant stay with my wife , elder daughter and family(husband and two boys age 5yrs and baby 8 months). The swimming pool was a God send for both the children, well for all of us. The staff here were very helpful as we're all the staff we came in contact with. The only problem we had was, my daughter is intolerant to wheat and diary. She […] informed reception who said it was no problem. At breakfast there was only enough soya milk for tea so my daughter could not have any cereals. They promised to get some soya milk for the next morning. Did not arrive dispite being told it had been ordered. However wheat free bred was provided. I complained to the reception staff who could not have been more helpful and oppologetic. They put the matter right with great appolagies and free next day breakfast for all the family four adults and two children. Very nice jesture. And the soya milk and bread was available Would defanately use this hotel again. Read more

We had a great stay, clean comfortable room,plenty of hot water, staff helpful and courteous,room a good size for a family of four, would stay again.The only downside would be the noisy corridors, but this was mostly down to visitors not realising how loudly they were talking. The staff were friendly and whenchecking in we merely brushed our teeth and went to visit our friends. We did not return to the room until very late when we realised that a large part of the carpet was wet and the reason became apparent during the night. The previous occupier had been ill in the room and although the cleaning staff had done a brilliant […] job the room should not have been let out until professional cleaning and airing of the room had taken place. "Reasonavble rate for Chester UK"
Hotel easy to find, welcoming receptionist. Room was clean and comfortable. Tea & coffee available in room. Good location on the Welsh border. Plenty to see and do. Breakfast a bit expensive. Would stay again and recommend to anyone.
This is an extremely worth staying hotel in terms of its price. It has up-to-standard comfort and cleaniness as every Holiday Inn Express Hotel has. The long and winding corridor to rooms is something to be complained about. Another thing is about the extra sofa bed for our daughter is not in good condition. The rest are satisfiying.

This hotel has a staff that act more as a family unit in accommodating guest needs than employees doing a job. While the location is out of the city centre, there is an excellent park and ride service just a short walking distance from the hotel that operates every 15 minutes taking guests into Chester. The courtyard in the hotel is wonderful, the pool […] and exercise facilities are a great benefit, and the breakfast is worth including in your package! We had a one night stay here for the races this year. From the outside looked a bit 1970s but was pleasantly surprised with the interior decor. Room was 100% clean, bedlinen fresh and clean, bed really comfy. Overall great overnight experience.

We booked into the Holiday Inn on the Friday afternoon of the Royal wedding. We had room 209 on the first floor, which we were very comfortable in. Despite being very busy, the hotel was very efficiently run, and for what we paid, we were highly satisfied. On the downside, the pool had very cloudy dirty looking water, the buffet breakfast for which […] we paid £9.95 each, was varied but not very hot, and the hotel is quite a distance from downtown Chester. To save the hassle of car parking, we used the number 1 bus the stop for which is just opposite the hotel; in the other direction, the bus runs to Wrexham, a journey of about 20 minutes. Hotel has a bit of a corporate, lacking in personality feel but the rooms were nice and the leisure centre above usual hotel standards. Reception staff were friendly and efficient but Bar and waiting staff were bordering on rude and mismanaged. We were made to feel like customers were an inconvenience!

Holiday Inn Chester South var et flott alternativ når vi skulle på fotballkamp i Liverpool, og hadde leiebil. Det ligger ca. 35 min. med bil fra Liverpool, og 3 km. fra Chester. Hotellet var overraskende bra, til en meget rimelig pris. Rommene var helt ok, og romslige, og servicen på hotellet var meget bra.

Dejligt hotel i engelsk stil. Skøn engelsk morgenbuffet samt en alletiders svømme og spa afd. Man skal dog være godt gående, da hotellet har nogle utrolig lange labyrantagtige gange. Venligt personale og gratis parkering. Fem minutter i bil til centrum af smukke Chester, og kun et min. så er man på motorvejen mod Wales eller f.eks Manchester eller Liverpool.
