Our room had two minor issues which we reported at checkout. (Refrigerator did not work well due to broken seal on door and toilet needed a little tightening) I will trust the hotel will address these maintenance issues. The suite was clean, comfortable and pleasing for our stay. This is always our first choice of accommodations, so much better than a standard room. The Hotel has simple elegance and a top rate, friendly and efficient staff.

The free breakfast was good. The hotel itself was nice, but nothing special. Parking seemed very expensive.
Location.
Featuring a crystalline tower that reflects the sunset over surrounding grassland, this Markham, Ontario, hotel is close to the IBM Canada campus and shopping venues. The cultural and entertainment attractions of downtown Toronto and Toronto Pearson International Airport are just a 25-minute drive away.
Hotel Features.
At the Hilton Suites Conference Centre and Spa valets and doormen welcome guests beneath the grand portico. The hotel's lobby is a stunning oasis of marble, foliage and fountains enclosed by the soaring glass tower. Twin spiral staircases lead to mezzanine-level meeting rooms and convention center. A concierge is available to answer questions and provide itinerary assistance, and cellular phone rentals are available. The Club Markham fitness center boasts an indoor pool, four squash courts, and steam rooms. The Holtz Spa offers massages, body wraps and skin treatments for guests. On-site culinary offerings at the Hilton include fine continental dining at Essence of Unionville.

For a more extensive workout, the hotel's Club Markham offers an indoor pool, aerobics classes, personal trainers, squash courts, locker rooms, showers, saunas, and steam rooms. Large exercise areas house free weights, treadmills, Universal machines, exercise bikes, and elliptical trainers. Use of the club's pool, spa tub, saunas, and steam rooms is complimentary. Day passes (surcharge) allow use of all facilities.
The Unionville Golf Center, 3 km away, is a public 18-hole par 3 course. The Parkview Golf Club, 12 km away, is open to the public and features 36 holes, with the Rouge River offering increased challenge on some holes.

Room was not clean and coffee maker was not clean; The sofa bed was vey hard. Not a good experience.

Dark and depressing room, televisions did not work, no hot water in the shower. Definitely not a Hilton.

"service has gottem worse"
I booked this hotel because I was pleased with the service and room condition when was here 2 years ago. It was not the same this time. I had room with bad faucets. The water in the tub didn't drain well so when I finished showering, the tub was filled with water up to my ankle. It was gross

"Great hotel for Markham & North Toronto area"
The hotel was very nice. We were visiting my mother in Markham and my brother in North York for a few days. It was convenient to both and easy to get to and from the 401. The breakfast was great and the Empire Court restaurant was very, very good. Service was terrific and the room was very comfortable and clean. They could skip charging for parking […] out here in the boonies. "wasted space"
there are so much wasted space should put into bedroom. the bedroom so small, one of the bed almost touch the wall. double bed in Hilton? no acceptable!

"very nice"
one of the nices hotel i've been in. i was staying in toronto for a mini vacation and needed a place near chinatown the hotel was just down the road very easy to find. price was a little higher then other hotel in the area but location is great, if you want to going shopping and for food
"Hockey and the American hotel guests"
We were pleased with the room and hotel - but not with the fellow guests on our floor. They were attending a hockey tournament. The first night , they were very loud and kept us from sleeping. The second night, we came in at 11 pm and there were at least 30 people in the hall, sitting , drinking and talking loudly. We had to walk through these people […] to reach our room. All of the room doors along the corridor were open and lots of liquor was visible. We called security about the noise and, after the third call, they finally came to our floor. The hockey contingent complained that they were just at a hockey tournament and we shouldn't be so "intolerant of them". We were finally escorted past these thugs by security to a new room at about 11:30. Other than that - our stay was fine. We should not have been booked into a room adjacent to this group.... We were given a complementary breakfast by the hotel security staff that evening and at check out, after more complaints, a complementary night at the hotel was also offered. "The Hilton Suites Conference Center and Spa"
offers a stylish, comfortable stay for those who don't need to be downtown. The rooms are spacious, the beds extremely comfortable, and the amenities are all there. The in-house dining is excellent, especially breakfast. Felt the price was very reasonable considering the great breakfast that was included.

"Nickled and Dimed"
The hotel itself is nice. The rooms are spacious and they are real suites with a bedroom and sitting area. The main problem with the hotel is that they have a fee for everything. You're charged for parking even though the hotel is in the suburbs with a huge, mostly vacant lot. Wireless isn't free. The business center costs money. I was starting to […] wonder if they were going to charge me for towels. These are the kinds of annoying fees that drive customers elsewhere. Heck, even the local Motel 6 has free parking, free wireless, and a free business center. The "double" beds are quite small. They're bigger than twin beds, but not by much. I thought the staff seemed minimally trained and unenthusiastic (probably because they were tired of being asked why everything costs extra). Finally, the hotel isn't convenient to Toronto itself. That was fine for us, because we were passing through. But, if you have business in the city, keep in mind that the traffic jams start building up around 6:00 am. Read more

Used to be a Markham native. Moved to Arizona and came back for a wedding here. Very disappointed in the food, pricing, availabilty of room service, specifically the hours. If you are looking to work out or swim, heads up for the old locals that work out dailiy and you have to sign up for machines. Traffic is horrendous in the area nonstop day and night. "Excellent Hotel"
I really liked this hotel. The room was wonderful.. it had two sperate areas. When you walk in it was the living room and bathroom.. then it was the bedroom. flat screen tv's in both rooms. The bed was comfy... they had starbucks coffee in the lobby for purchase. Nice spa and gym. They also had racketball court!! "Wonderful hotel"
This hotel was amazing, the suite was unbelievable. Nice and roomy. Clean. During the summer, the AC was just perfect. No need to change the temperature at all. There jacuzzi was nice and big.

Overall a qualtiy place. More amenable to business as opposed to family travel. Smallish suites. Parking fee for a hotel 20 miles outside of the city really necessary?

When i reviewed the hotel, I expected the "suite" to be just some normal room. It is an actual suite. There was a living room area and a bedroom. Two large screen TVs. A very nice bathroom. I've been to this hotel for severals times, and this was the first time I booked online, but I met the worst service in all the time!!! When I arrived the hotel to check in, the front desk sent me to other hilton since he said that he couldn't find me in the system even though I gave all the information and confirmation number. I thought I probably […] made a mistake, and I drove all the other 3 hilton hotels all around at 4am, after I checked the third hilton, they still couldn't find my name, and I phone back the first one, this time was another lady picked the phone and she told me that she could find me there and asked me to come back. after 1 hour drove around in so early morning,I was so tired. when I went back, their attitude was not that appologized for the mistake. I was so disappointed and pissed off. I'll never go back again. actually I saw many similar standard hotels surrounding by. The second day I asked the frond dest lady to put a note to the manager when I left. the front desk lady told me that their manager would phone me for sure, but until now on, I didin't receive any phone call. We enjoyed our stay. Our suite was very nice and spacecous. Our only complaint was there were no robes available for us either nights we were there to go back and forth to the pool. Inconvinient. This is why we get a suite, for all this little extras and it wasn't available. Hopefully next time We get the full service, but lovelly hotel.

While the Hilton is the lowest price hotel in the area for its class of hotel, beware of the insane nickel and diming they do throughout. If you don't have a car with you, watch your bill for parking, which they tacked onto my bill. Also, ensure you bring your own laptop computer or you'll have to pay for using the one in their "business center."
