My stay was sufficient and adequate. I awoke to birdsong first thing, and the sun rose directly outside the window. So, the morning exposure and nature sounds were wonderfully welcome. The night was very quiet in an obviously quiet neighborhood with no sounds of emergency sirens overnight. Yet, the standard of cleanliness was not up to my personal par. […] The room was clean enough not to warrant any complaints. The mattress was comfortable and the air free of odors, mold or smoke. I did not see one bug! I left my clothes behind in the closet and the hotel clerk called me on my phone to let me know! I was so appreciative of that! I was running late and didn't check out on time, yet I was not charged for the delay and no one put pressure on me to get out. I was disappointed there was not a coffee maker in the room, but it was not a problem to buy a coffee in the convenience store right down the road close by, and I kept it in the refridgerator and used the microwave to heat it up in the morning. I had enough of a good experience to hope they up their cleaning standards a couple of rungs higher to enhance the guest's visit. Read more

Room was clean, and OK mostly. The windows in the whole place are quite dirty, due to leaking of the double pane construction; the dirt is inside which cannot be resolved, but the windows are very dirty on the inside surface, too . It appears that with the discoloration within, the staff decided a long time ago to stop cleaning ANY of the windows outside […] or inside. The doors at the lobby main entrance are quite soiled on the handles and push plates. There is a general impression that this hotel has long ago seen it's better day. We noted that the occupancy rate was very low, for good reason; I doubt many people would be back again. If you touch the door handles coming in be sure to wash your hands. Read more

Poor and unethical behavior of the front desk attendant. You have to ask for Iron, no Ironing Board, No coffee or coffee maker in the room. You have to collect toilet paper by yourself from the front desk. The bed was not made for 2days. The used towels and wash clothes were not picked until the second day. We had to complain and collect Towels and […] wash clothes from the front desk. The front desk guy gave one toilet roll and only two towels, and two wash clothes. This was seriously the worst hotel I have ever encountered. The walls, carpets and furniture were all filthy- there was even graffiti on the walls of the elevator. The man at the front desk barely spoke English, didn't know whether they had internet access or not and was rude when I asked. When I entered my room the air conditioning didn't work, and […] the room smelt so badly of smoke that I almost gagged, and opening the window didn't help, not that you should have to do that in 90 degree weather. I'm not a fussy traveller- I don't mind if there is peeling paint, or only one towel in the bathroom, or no fridge or whatever- these are inexpensive motels and I don't expect them to be immaculate. But this motel was truly disgusting. I did something I've never done before- left and went to a different hotel. I'd prepaid so I had to pay for the new hotel as well as this one, but after 5 minutes in the room the thought of spending the night at this place was more than I could put up with. I didn't even bother to say anything to the staff as I left since they apparently couldn't understand me. I will be complaining to Expedia about this place. Also, this is not a nice area to stay in, especially when travelling alone. I didn't feel comfortable there at all. I'm not easily put off by run down areas but this did not feel safe at all. I stayed at the Homestead Suites near the Perimeter Mall instead- $20 more for a comfortable and clean full suite in a safe area with friendly staff. Read more
