So I am pulling into the hotel with two suitcases. A bellman watches me but does nothing to help. The front desk takes 15 minutes to check in, the lobby is dimly lit. Check in guy is snooty and tells me how they are a 5 star property, I tell him maybe in the 70s but not anymore. This hotel is great for everyone. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The renovated rooms are spacious,clean, and comfortable. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are all fresh and plentiful. The location is central to numerous Tel Aviv sites.

We stayed 2 nights at the Dan in Tel Aviv for a family event. We were extremely disappointed overall. The hotel was in deplorable condition, with dirt caked in corners of the bathroom and hotel rooms, cracked, flaking, stained walls. Most importantly, the staff was extremely unhelpful. They were surly and had dour dispositions. There were no smiles […] or greetings, only grunts and look aways. For a supposedly first class hotel, this place is living on its reputation, not its current condition. It needs an extreme makeover in all the important aspects (including the quality of its breakfast food, which was very bland). I would not stay here again or recommend it to a friend. Read more

It is shameful that Internet access is charged at such outrageous prices. it cost the Hotel virtually nothing to offer WiFi, they charge 10 Euros per hour!!!!

This hotel has the best location of the beach front hotels in Tel Aviv. It is closest to Yaffo, Neve Tzedek and the Train Station shopping, and an easy walk to the Carmel Farmers Market, Ninhamat Binyamin and Rothschild Square. The Dan hotels have the best breakfast buffet, with an egg/omelet station to make it how you like it. One drawback is that […] they charge $20 per day for wifi in the room, and it only supports one device or you have to pay again for a second one. This is in a town where there is free wifi in every restaurant and almost on every corner. At the price charged for these rooms, this is an amenity that should be included. There was also no refrigerator in the room unless you wanted to pay extra, which also is an amenity that should be includeed without extra charge. Their guest services manager contacted us to be sure all was ok, and helped us arrange a very late check out, since our flight didn't leave until way late at night. She apologized for the lack of wifi, as being beyond her control. So staff here is a little better than corporate, which needs to catch up. Read more

Location is outstanding: right at the beach, a walk to good eateries. Breakfast buffet is superb: amazing display of foods for every taste, cappuccinos to order, balcony spots for outdoor eating. The lousy service and poor management, however, makes this hotel a strong "No." Though I was booked for a queen size bed, the bed was made up with a pair of […] twin mattresses. I had to request the mattress be changed. Security box did not work; I had to request help. Turns out the service person had not reset the box after the last visitor left. Wireless service did not work for me for 3.5 of 4 days, seriously impacting my work. I had to spend at least two hours dealing with tech people and front desk people about this, and three different front desk folks never understood that it was the hotel's responsibility to help make this work for me, since I was paying nearly $20 US per day for the service. (One manager understood that it was the hotel's responsibility and tried to be helpful.) At checkout time, a colleague and I each had minibar costs added to our bills, even though neither of us had touched our respective minibars. I had to challenge this and then sign a form indicating I had not used the minibar. The entire checkout process took way too long, and I kept colleagues waiting. When i came back to pick up my bags which were being stored, I was told two minutes to wait for the bellman. 17 minutes later (with a friend waiting in the car), a bellman finally showed up. But as with all things at this hotel, I only got the bellman there by making my way to the counter two more times urging the front desk to do something so I could get my bags. I even volunteered to get my bags by myself but they said they had no key to the bag room. As with every single thing at this hotel, I had to assert myself, demanding service. The greatest thing about this visit was the people. All the staff was helpful and went out of their way to add to the enjoyment of our trip. The location is wonderful. Right across the street from the Sea and only a couple blocks from the beach. Walking distance to open Markets, great restaurants, etc. Only negative was that the room was too warm, […] and there was no way to cool it down since they have the air conditioner turned off. The Dan has a wonderful location right on the beach in Tel Aviv. Rooms are fine in the renovated section (I was on floor 16) - apparently not so great below. The breakfast is excellent as reported in many reviews. Go elsewhere for dinner. Booked an Executive Room via Hotels.com at a great rate. The rooms were recently refurbished, though the building itself is old. Quite comfortable for a few nights stay, but it doesn't compare to the quality of 5 star hotels elsewhere in the world. Good location.

Trevlig personal och perfekt läge. Kanske mer en fyrstjärnig standard än femstjärnig vad gäller rummens standard. Mycket god frukost, dock rekommenderar jag inte middagsbuffén som var rätt trist. Uppmärksam room service som ofta ringde och kollade att olika beställningar blivit genomförda som planerat och till belåtelse.

המלון טוב, ארוחת בוקר מאד גדולה וטובה והשירות בכל מקום היה מצוין. אין בו פינוקים של מלון בוטיק. ביקשנו להחליף את החדר הראשון שניתן לנו מאחר והיו מספר דברים שלא היו בו תקינים. הועברנו לחדר אחר שהיה בסדר גמור. מרגיז כמו תמיד שהתשלום עבור אינטרנט יקר למדי (70 ש"ח לכל מחשב ליום) ואינו כלול בלינה וכך גם לגבי חניה במלון.

Un hôtel refait mais pas complètement ( pas la piscine, ni la salle à manger) . Très très famille donc très très bruyant et pourtant nous etions nous même en famille. Les plus: un petit déjeuner jusqu'à midi, une chambre propre faite 2 fois par jour et une grand variété de plats au petit déjeuner, une piscine très très surveillée par les 3 ou 4 maîtres […] nageur. Les moins: personnel pas hyper accueillant, une population bruyante : la salle à manger ressemble à un hall de gare à toute heure de la matinée sauf à 8 heures du matin. Fint poolområde, bra service i repan med en speciell rådgivningstjänst om vad som finns att göra. Frukosten är kass, men vad kan en svensk vänta sig när man är van vid färskt bröd, löskokta ägg och bacon, inget av detta finns här. Vattning yoghurt, apelsinsaft(i apelsinens hemland??), torra blåa ägg, hårt torrt bröd, konserverad frukt, kallt svagt […] kaffe. Gymet är litet men tillräckligt, han som jobbade där är dock inge trevlig, dessutom måste man ha nya jympadojjor för att få träna där.. fånig regel, det går lika bra o styrketräna i sandaler. Lobbybaren har väldigt bra service, maten som serveras är dock inte lika bra, torra pizzor och torra smaklösa sallader. Roomservice är bra. Städningen ok men inte världsklass. Läget är bra, man har nära till gamla Jaffa, alla stränder, den öppna marknaden och affärs&restaurangstråk som Allenby och Roschild. Read more

Ligging van het hotel is super, maar de service is absoluut geen 4 sterren. Moest moeite doen om een schoon bord bij het ontbijtbuffet te vinden en op de vraag of er vervoer geregeld kon worden naar Jeruzalem, werden we naar buiten gestuurd.
