Requested a king bed. They only had a queen. Bed not very comfortable. I woke up to the person next door blow drying their hair at 6 am. I had a free night with hotels.com and choose to give it up go to another hotel.

Great hotel with nice view on golf course side. Decent pricing for quality of rooms. Only a couple negatives: First is distance from downtown. If you have plans to do things downtown the distance might be an issue; however, its still only about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown if traffic is good. But to me it's worth the added distance to most due to […] lower rates for a quality hotel. Downtown hotels of similar quality are generally more expensive from what I have found. Second minor issue is that the housekeeping staff seems to forget to refresh rooms from time to time. I had to call and ask for fresh towels and the room appeared to not have ever been tended to one night. Finally, the hotel has a few very minor areas that could use some updating/modernization. (I.E.: The Club Level balcony, attached to my room, was in need of a new or refinished floor. Nice 4 star. We expected better service and didn't care for the surprise fees. Grounds are beautiful. Hotel food and atmosphere great. Kids loved the pool and the Spotted Dog. Nice Birthday weekend away :)

The room was nothing special, but the public areas were well appointed and welcoming. Friendly, casual vibe at the Spotted Dog downstairs, and a cozy fireplace as well. This was a great ocation for my business meetings in the Denver tech area.

The hotel and staff are good, however the views from the hotel rooms are exaggerated at best. The view of the golf course was a view of the reatstaurant roof-top and a limited view of the golf course. The view of the mountains (the first room we were in) was non-existent. While clouds could account for some of the obstrution, the mountains are so far […] in the distance that even on a clear day they are nowhere near what is described or shown in the marketing photos. The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. I've stayed here twice hoping it would get better and it did not. You should also avoid the pool and the hot tub they are kind of gross.

This is a very nice hotel with a lot of great amenities, such as indoor/outdoor pools, hot tub, nice fitness center, and lots of restaurants onsite. However, anything not included in your daily rate is VERY expensive! We were there 5 days, and while we did eat poolside one day, we never ate in the restaurants or got room service (which we normally do) […] because the cost was so prohibitive; for example, the breakfast buffet is $35/person. Be aware that there is a daily charge for internet also, which is not uncommon but it's one of those things that hotels should provide for free, especially a hotel of this caliber. The up side is that also included in the daily hotel fee is free valet parking. Read more

My husband and I booked a king size suite with a balcony for our 20th wedding anniversary. We were disappointed by the lack of detailed cleaning in the bathroom. The shower head was dirty and there was black dirt/grim around the grip handle in the bath. The closet door was broken making a jarring sound when we opened it. There was a large pile of bird […] droppings in the corner of the balcony with a hotel napkin dropped over the pile and the balcony furniture hadn't been wiped down in a while. The ambience of the hotel is lovely and the bar area was nice. Unfortunately, patrons don't sleep or shower in the bar area. It was a disappointment especially for the price we paid for the room. Our anniversary getaway, the first in 6 years without children, was not great. We booked a deluxe room, but paid to upgrade to a suite when we were faced with a hall full of pre-teen boys slamming doors and running up and down our hall. The suite was fine, but the decor is typical 80's and shows a lot of signs of wear and tear. The A/C is deafening, […] but was necessary in the 100* heat. The next day, we attempted to use the tennis courts and pool, but the convoluted nature of the layout wore us out before we even began to play and swim. Not worth the money. Will not return. I think this hotel is more for business type stays and not for families. The hotel is on the older end but well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was a deluxe with two queen beds. It was a bit small and the pillows were horrible. We could hear everything going on in the halls and next door. We ate at the Garden Terrace […] and the Spotted Dog; both were cafeteria quality food at best. The prices of the food were very high considering what you got. For a basic burger (no lettuce, tomato or extra fixings) the charge is $10 and fries are extra. They do have a "fancier" restraint but we didn't even want to risk the cost for possibly mediocre food. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to families. It was just ok, and for the price, not worth it. However, if you are on a business trip or couples vacation it might work. The Expedia rooms are right above the kitchens for the hotel restaurants, so expect a very strong cooking food smell. Adjoining rooms are loud, w/ very little sound filtering. I could hear every word my next door neighbor said on a phone call as if he was in my room with me. The room service menu needs more healthy options and is very over priced. The […] daily breakfast buffet w/ coffee cost $17 plus tip. I am ok with that, but many travelers would find that extremely over priced. There is also a daily $12 facilities fee that doesn't cover services like valet parking, so that also costs you additional money. The resort itself needs a serious face lift. Pros: The staff were very friendly. The decor/style of the hotel was very beautifully done. Cons: Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Both my husband and I had back pain following the next day. Our stay was between Christmas and New Years. Overall, we had a good experience. The bell desk staff was wonderful! Helpful and experienced. Several front desk staff were helpful, too. One bad apple at the front desk made for a bad "first impression" and she continued her attitude problem throughout our stay. We stayed on the Club Level between Xmas and NYE. It was very quiet in the hotel, which was actually quite nice, but also meant not all the restaurants were open or the golf course (it was also snowed under, so no surprise there). As it seems the hotel is more used for business, it would explain why during family holidays it isn't very busy. The room […] was spacious with a very comfortable king size bed and absolutely gorgeous view overlooking the grounds. The bathroom isn't very big, but has everything you could want or need and is spacious enough to have a bath with good, powerful shower overhead (though a little low for 6ft+). The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful with everything. On the Club Level there is a complimentary 'cocktail hour' in the Lounge from 5 PM to 7 PM each night with wine, beer and soft drinks plus some hot and cold snacks. Which was a very nice touch. The breakfast (served in the same lounge) is good, though not overly special (continental). The restaurants do various breakfasts though at additional charge, same with room service breakfast. Overall, the hotel looks great, nice views of the grounds, very friendly and helpful staff and comfortable and clean rooms. Would def stay again. Read more
