"Good family hotel"
As a family of 3, we had a wonderful stay. The indoor pool seemed to be the highlight of the hotel. The food was ok and a bit pricy. We found nearby Oakhurst was helpful with food costs and more eating choices. Only 40 minutes from Yosemite Valley and 12 minutes to the Sequoias. Our room had all the conveniences, but beds a bit firm to my liking. If […] you leave the hotel, come back early due to parking can be a challenge come 7-8 pm. Our overall stay was good. I would recommend brining an ice chest full of snacks, drinks, and breakfast goodies especially if you have children. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I wish we would have had more time to spend here. The room was very spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was the lack of hot water for the sink. Lots of choices for restaurants and things to do. Breakfast buffet was amazing! Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient to Yosemite"
As part of a fabulous road trip of National parks in the vicinity, we picked up a rental car from San Francisco and drove to Tenaya Lodge. It took about 4 hours and when we arrived it was snowing so it was wonderful to come inside to a warm and comfortable lodge where the staff were friendly and informative (weather, things to do etc). It takes about […] an hour to drive from Tenaya to Yosemite. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"This hotel has lots of "lodge" qualities"
There is a nice mountain lodge feeling to the facilities and enough facilities to keep you entertained. The three dining rooms plus deli make for some varied food and beverage options. The highlight of this place though is the staff which was friendly and helpful. They all seem to enjoy working there! .....which had a lot to do with why we enjoyed our […] stay! "Great hotel to Yosemite"
The amenities of the hotel are great. They've got indoor pools, ice rink and even archery lessons, so my kids had lots of fun. And the hotel is within 10 mins drive to the south entrance of the Yosemite National Park, very convenient. The only down side is that the restaurants at the hotels are kind of pricey. Average spend per person is about $30 per […] meal. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A must if visiting Yosemite"
The hotel is located in the national forest in a beautiful setting. You are greeted by a very large staff whom are all very nice and helpful. The hotel offers many different activities such as archery, mountain biking, guided hikes, snowshoeing and more. When we checked in we were told we were being upgraded, but I am not really sure if it was an upgrade […] and I believe it may have to do with us booking through hotels.com. We ended up being put on their neighboring property which is all of their cabin style lodges. They were very nice, don't get me wrong, but we never got a chance to see the actual hotel rooms which seemed like they were very well up kept and closer to all the amenities offered. Our cabin did end up having its own fireplace and a second room so it was in many ways an upgrade. A few electrical outlets weren't working, but they immediately sent over maintenance and they worked on it till it was fixed. However the internet never ended up working and the hot tub nearest to the cabins was a little cool. Overall I would stay at again and it sure beats the other locations near or in Yosemite. "Good hotel. Great spa!"
We arrived at 3:00PM to check in and our room was not ready. We had to wait till 4:00PM to check in. The room was a bit out dated but clean. The bed was hard. The hotel Staff was helpful but not friendly. I was never greeted and didn't feel welcomed. The Sierra Restaurant's food was good. Our waiter was very slow and didn't come to check on us after […] our food was brought to us. The spa was amazing! The staff was great and friendly! "Stay at the main lodge."
I stayed at one of the cottages. The walls were too thin so you could hear everything. I was with my wife and two kids. Cannot sleep at all.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel at beautiful location"
Stayed during spring break, great hotel, staff very nice. Only negative is the beds that were pretty uncomfortable (for us at least). Close to the rest of the Yosemite park with all its attractions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near southern enterancce of Yosmite ."
The drive to get there was longer than expected. Do not program your car GPS to take you by the " Direct" way. It will put you on an old logging road over the top of the mountain- rather than the highway around it. Staff said they could always tell by the amount of dirt and dust on the car which way you had come.Genuine Expedia guest review
"NOT worth it !!"
Expensive and definitely NOT worth IT. Stayed 2 nights. I am an EXpedia ELITE member, and was not able to get a requested KING bed (my only request). Bed was LUMPY not confortable at all...Stay at the Motel 6 and get better a better BED.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A great base to explore Yosemite."
We visited in early spring and it was not very crowded. We arrived late in the evening and there was still a fire burning for us at the entrance. It was quiet clean and convenient. The food in the Jackalope Bar and Grill was fine and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.Genuine Expedia guest review

"great getaway to Yosemite!"
Went here on a personal retreat to see yosemite and relax away from the the city. It was great! The spa facilities were clean and relaxing, took a beautiful walk on a nearby trail right outside of the hotel, and was able to truly relax. It is an hour from the Yosemite village, but only a few minutes from the Mariposa Grove and the south entrance of […] the park, so ended up being a perfect place to return to after a day of hiking and nature in Yosemite. "Best hotel close to Yosemite"
Albeit more expensive than other hotels, the lodge was amazing for our honeymoon. The staff were very knowledgeable about the Park and was able to provide some really neat tours. Would recommend this to anyone going to that area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"small microwave would be great adder to King Dlx"
staff seemed to be young and inexperienced.. the food service and quality during buffet was poor quality and slow service despite high / premium price. The accommodations could have been complimented with microwave and outdoor chairs / table set up.Genuine Expedia guest review

"One of the best hotels and location in the world"
Awesome hotel with 1st rate service, food, and staff ... this is a must stay hotel if you are traveling to the Yosemite area. The only concern we had was our door was hung so bad that a huge amount of light came through during the night from the hallway, over 1/2" gap towards the bottom of the door ... the next nights we stuffed towels to cut down on […] the light. I doubt if any of the other 300 something rooms suffer from this, just our bad luck Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A mixed bag"
This hotel is difficult to rate, as it is a very mixed bag. The structure itself is nice enough (on par with a Hilton or Marriott). The location is great - just 2.5 miles outside the south entrance of Yosemite. However, it has a couple of major negatives. First, the restaurant prices were on par with the Ritz. The food was good, but the prices were […] way too steep. Second, service in cleaning the room was on par with Motel 6 - pathetic. Appears to be a hotel trying hard to pose as a Hyatt, but it is not quite there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not so romantic"
The resort was very nice but difficult to get around, felt like a maze and too many children. Not a place for a romantic getaway, kids everywhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel, location and amenities"
We loved our stay at Tenaya which is a beautiful hotel, close to the Yosemite. The options for food are limited but the hotel has 3 different options. We were able to pack our days with activities previously planned and from the hotel it is very convenient to get to them. The ice rink is a plus as well as the pool. The only thing that was not desirable […] was the staff that didn't give you the feeling when dealing with your issues, as if they just had to deal with it. I never got such short answers to my questions, minimal and done with it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Overpriced! You always felt like they were trying to get more money from the already expensive stay. Warm to cold showers with no luck getting it fixed. The staff was nice, but problem not fixed. If staying without dogs or kids, ask to be off bottom floor. Kids kept coming up to our slider every morning trying to peer in.Genuine Expedia guest review
beds and pillows very uncomfortable; accepts dogs; good dog careGenuine Expedia guest review
Would like to know in advance what the charges are in full; particularly for a dog. I am accustomed to paying a fee equal to that charged by a good kennel. The Tenya Lodge charged $75. I am also quite willing to be held responsible for any damage or disturbance my dog might cause; a totally acceptable business practice, but I would have chosen another […] location had the amount of the fee been access able on your web site. "Wonderful First Stay at in the Yosemite"
Tenaya Lodge was easy to get to and it was a pleasant stay. When I got there, I let them know that it was our anniversary and if there were any upgrades and we got an upgrade to the suites which were amazing! The upgrade was fair and they provided chocolate covered strawberries and powdered sugar grapes for us. This place can get a little pricey and […] the regular rooms definitely have thin walls so those are the cons. Definitely clean, friendly staff, the amenities were fine and the location was fine too. It's about an hour drive to Yosemite Valley and a 20 minute driver to the Mariposa Grove where the gigantic Sequioas are. I'd love to go back again in the future! Pros: front desk and parking service were excellent, even help to shovel my 6" thick snow off my car. Overall hotel looks very clean and decent which price is reasonable. "Great hotel, not so much for the restaurant"
I enjoyed my hotel room and enjoyed my trip to Yosemite, but the restaurant was weak for something that expensive. Because the hotel was a long ways from anything (outskirts of Yosemite Par k40 miles from the Valley), I wound up eating in their restaurants. One extremely good dinner-sized salad with creative ingredients, but when I ate the traditional […] meal it was expensive and extremely bland (pork schnitzel), and the soup was just OK, but for $7.95?. No breakfast buffet in off season, so they charged me just as much for ordering one thing off the menu with milk and coffee. I made sure to have food from the store in my room for my second breakfast, so I didn't do that again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cottages at Tenaya Lodge"
We love staying in the Cottages at Tenaya Lodge. You get to stay in cute little houses, but still enjoy the amenities of the big lodge should you wish to dine there, use the spa, game room, or indoorpool. There is also an indoor pool at the Cottages if you don't want to go to the Lodge. If there was one thing we didn't like, it was the "fancy" Sierra […] Restaurant at the Lodge. We found the food choices to be very limited and 3 out of 4 of us did not care for our dinner. Two adult entrees, the two kids shared a meal, no wine or dessert and the cost was $130. Great location with lots to do on the property. Service great, everyone from housekeeping to the waiters were friendly and offered great suggestion on food and activities. "Quick weekend trip to Yosemite with the kids"
The lodge is a good place to stay. The food in the restaurants are excellent. We had a breakfast and a dinner there. The parking is a little inconvenient. The bathroom door is annoyingly big. I think it would have been better if they are sliding doors.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel near Yosemite"
The cottages were very well maintained and had a cozy vibe. Our room was clean, awesome television, spacious, and had a fire place. Never having traveled to Yosemite, the hotel was easy to find. "beautiful yet uncomfortable"
I had such great hopes, even arriving into the hotel. But 2 nights we stayed there, I hardly got any sleep. Beds were uncomfortable, bedding old, pillows washed too many times. And AC/heat was so loud and ran way over the set temperature. I left exhausted. But it is a good looking place at beautiful location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Tenaya is a beautiful Lodge right outside the south entrance to Yosemite. It has 4 restaurants, pools and a nice spa. Staff is knowledgeable, and they offer many activities. Tenaya was clean, cozy, good location ,nice staff, many activities and BEST SERVICE !! Our car broke down at Yosemite Village which is about one hour from hotel. "Weekend before Christmas"
What a great place to stay! The lodge was decorated head to toe for Christmas. The food was excellent! (Yes, it is a bit pricey but they have to bring everything in). The rooms were clean. The workout room had great equipment but was a bit too warm (nothing to really complain about). Travelled with my folks and their dog. Reserved a seperate room for […] them. The lodge had a dog bed, treats, a ball for their dog. We stayed on the upper level (no pets). Great way to end a day trip to Yosemite. We cannot wait to come back up again. Very convenient location, just a few miles from the south gate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff here really make a difference. It's probably one of the best hotels I've stayed in when you consider the staff. They are courteous, cheery and offer excellent service.
