Not a 5 star hotel, but a good place to get a good night's sleep before traveling back home. The staff was friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was the perfect start to another day of travel. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small and the ice machine on the second floor, where we were staying, was out of order, necessitating a trip down the stairs to get ice. Multiple light fixtures did not work properly. The vent in the bathroom was very noisy. And the complimentary breakfast was light on options. Yes, this is typical of a two-star hotel, but I paid twice as much for this room as I have for comparable rooms at other hotels that did not have these problems.

Some wallpaper was coming loose, and main problem I had was shower curtain was covered in mold and when I told desk clerk they did not seem all that concerned. I am a truck driver. I had called before I checked in, you know for CDL rates..Was not any I believed,cause rates was higher than what Expedia told me...It seem like went they saw that it was Expedia they put me in a room in the very back corner with constuction going on and the live in workers..A lot of drinking,and running in and out,even knonking […] on my door late at night..One time even one of the workers walked right in..Will never happen again at the motel ! Next to a truck stop and noisy, but large & spacious room, no iron & ironing board in room, sink will fill with water while shaving or brushing teeth, television was bad, but for the price, I guess I can't complain.

Filthy smelly mold-ridden room. If you're looking for a pool, keep looking. I quote from the "manager" "we HAVE a pool, it just isn't filled with water." I haven't seen anything this nasty since Mexico.

Hotel was ideal for easy off and on to highway. Plenty of restaurants near by. Room was clean and neat. Air conditioner only worked if you plugged in. On and Off switch didn't work for A/C. Truck Stop next door. Very noisey. at times.

To sum it up... very dissappointed. The hotel has obviously not been renovated in quite a while, if ever. The carpet was dingy and stinky, the pillows were extremely lumpy, the bath tub was just flat worn out. My 6 yr olds bath water was yellow. The pool was in very poor repair. My family comes to Ponchatula every year for the strawberry festival and visit to with family. Our stay was quite enjoyable. The hotel was in the perfect spot to get around. My only compalint was the weather was very warm mid 80's and the pool was closed the entire weekend. My children were disappointed. we were in town for the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival so this hotel was convienent but it wasnt the best I have ever stayed at. Hotel was just fine and would recomend staying on the second floor because the exhaust fumes from the idling disel trucks next door can be bad if the wind is from the north. I could only smell the fumes on the ground level

Previous night on the road we had a wonderful hotel for less money so this one was a little bit of a let down. As an older hotel the place is well maintained though. Room was well maintained. The breakfast is very basic. Too many options on the road so next time I will push further for a cheaper rate.

We arrived at 9:30 pm...had to check in thru the glass window, I guess the neighborhood must be bad..Mostly contractor type vehicles...with many guests outside their room for their final 'smoke'. I seriously didn't want to stay here, but my husband talked me into it because it was reasonably priced. I was pleasantly surprised with this motel. I'm a VERY picky person when it comes to cleanliness. I don't usually stay in motels because I feel dirty in them. I'm a 4 star hotel kinda girl, that's why we don't get travel much! The location of the Hotel is very convenient, I was just passing and it was a very nice choice, the other Hotel in the are I think the were over priced for the commodities they offer. Over all if I happened to come back this way, I will definetly stay here again.
