Me and my family booked rooms there and the rooms are horrible. The cleaning person does not clean the rooms appropriately!! I brung lysol wipes to wipe off everything and the wipes were black and dirty!! There were bottles and trash under the bed and the towels and wash clothes were dirty and dingy!! The rooms have an odor and smell like cigarettes. […] We were afraid there be beds bugs or getting a skin rash. The parking is limited and tight. The breakfast was nice and staff but I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone that's use to nicer hotels and cleanliness and a feeling of safeness. If you don't care bout being clean and safe and just want to find anywhere to sleep, this is the hotel for you!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Hotel was far from Beale street if you were on foot, you can pay 3.00 and get shuttle there so not too bad- the place does need work- Pool is under construction and does not look like will be read anytime soon. If you are into haunted places there are two abandoned buildings across the street. One looks like a hospital and the other like an old […] residential building, if not then those are a complete eye sore. There was a smell of bad humidity in my room that was very strong, A few of the lamps were missing light bulbs. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Traveled to Memphis on Business. I will not stay here EVER again. Room was dusty & crusty looking and the shower ran constantly. My friend also stayed here, upon checkin he was advised that the TV in the room was broken. However, they would give him a new room the next day. We he entered the room,it was filthy and the toilet was not cleaned. In his […] words, it looked like someone had just used it. He called to the front desk, guy came up with a spray bottle and one towel asked where the dirt was...he proceeded to wipe the toilet, then the counters WITH THE SAME TOWEL. Ended up being in a very scary part of the city. Actually put the couch in front of the door. My daughter said, "This place is scary dad". Hotel itself was OK for the price I paid but was disappointed that pool was not filled and in good condition. Breakfast the next morning was almost non-existant so we left to eat breakfast somewhere else.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not quite a dive, but real close!"
Dirty, stained carpets, shower temp not adjustable, shuttle ride back from Beale St. stopped 1 hour short of promised time. Would not call me a cab! Got back to find room key inoperative. Toilet ran unless I reached into water to seat valve. Bed hard as a rock. Had to back out of parking lot. No food within walking distance. Next time I'll book the […] Artisan far in advance. "nothing great about the stay"
very noisy outside !!! and the bathroom has just one towel for two beds the tap was leaking all night only good was the bedsGenuine Expedia guest review
It pretty much is what you pay for. The Rooms are clean and the staff is estrememly friendly and helpful. The Shuttle service is great, you can go anywhere and they take you and pick you up. If you are looking for 5 star keep looking but if your looking for just a good place to stay for a good prce give them a try!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at the Super 8 because of the close proximity to Tom Lee park, where we went to the Beale Street Music Festival. The hotel offered a shuttle service for $3, we had to wait maybe 5 minutes to be picked up. They even extended the hours from 11 P.M. to 1 A.M. because of the music festival! The hotel could use some remodeling, but it was only […] $70 a night in downtown. The staff was extremely nice and polite. The hotel looks to be in a rundown area, with condemned buildings on two sides. However, we were not hassled by any panhandlers nor saw anyone other than hotel customers and staff in the area. We also did not have to pay for parking, which was ten dollars on up at Beale Street. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"I would never recommend this hotel!"
This hotel was in a terrible part of Memphis, nothing and I mean nothing was around this hotel except abandoned buildings. The taxi drives didn't even want to take you to the hotel from Beale street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not nearly as bad as I expected."
Based on the reviews of previous travelers, I expected a total dump. Yes, it's an old hotel but not nearly as horrible as it was made to seem. Service was excellent and the room was decent. I've stayed in much worse places. Oh, and a $3 shuttle to Beale? Can't beat that!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was horrified the carpet was so nasty I was afraid to walk on the floor with out shoes! I will never stay at a Super 8 again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
".OK for the money"
For the money it was OK. Staff was not the friendliest but not rude eitherGenuine Expedia guest review
"very convenient to downtown"
breakfast was adequate, make your own waffles were a nice touch, could offer a little more variety in breakfast cereals. Faucet in room tended to drip unless wriggled alot, didn't use any drawer space because they did not appear clean, bed was comfortable, suggest two pillows per guest not one because were not the greatest quality, lots of air leaks […] around room door and heating unit, would be scary in the winter! Location was fine & very convenient to downtown ^ the riverfront. Good experience overall Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel should be standing!!! Rooms were old and out-dated, spider webs, room had bad smells, and it's facing abandoned buildings...creepy!!!! Will never ever stay there again!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was close to Beale Street but I prefer to pay more and drive extra miles to get there!!! Our room smelled like bacon, elevator was extremely small and old...only get on with 2 people at a time....it sounds as if it's going to break if any more get on....we had rooms on the 5th floor which had a lot of spider webs, plus we were facing an abandoned […] building which turned out to be part of a metal museum, and there was a huge spot of water damaged in the ceiling of the room which had been painted over....thank goodness we took our own sheets and disinfectant spray!!!! I did feel comfortable clean or safe in this place!!! If we had to stay there 2 nights I wouldn't have made it!!!! Need I say more....but the waffles were delicious lol!!! The area surrounding the hotel is abandonded properties. Very eerie. Has potential being so close to the river. Trains woke us up throughout the night. Pool has a tarp over it with gravel instead of water. Stay away!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent for the price."
I needed a play to stay in Memphis for 4 nights that wasn't too expensive. This was super cheap and just fine. No big disasters, not too far from downtown and Beale Street. Nothing to see in the neighborhood except abandoned buildings, which feels sketchy at night, but we were totally safe the entire time. If you need a super cheap place to stay, I'd […] recommend Super 8. The staff were VERY helpful (letting us check in a full 6 hours before we were supposed to) and I would stay here again. Train brakes are will keep you awake. Use the safe in the room to lock up everything or hang your do not disturbe tag on your door. Cleaning crew are sticky fingered an even hats, socks and sun glasses aren't safe. We talked to the GM and was let into the stuff laundry area for the hotel. There we found all over missing items plus a whole box of other […] stuff that wasn't ours but surely had to be from other hotel guest. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Paint peeling off walls. Long, dark hair on bathroom floor and towels. Paid for two nights but left after the first night. Terrible area and had people yelling outside of our door. Super loud road noise also. Very uncomfortable and very unsafe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I feel like the price of the rooms are an over charge and the locationis surounded by abandoned buildings. no are to take pics. nothing to view and the train runs all day and night so you don't get much rest. the heater didnt work and the tolet and tubs were nasty and filthy. hair was on a pillow. the sheets didnt look lie they were changed so i slept […] in my clothes the whole weekend. "Minutes from downtown Memphis"
Hotel was in very poor shape. There was no microwave in our room and we had to request it. We had to go to the lobby for an iron and ironing board...the first ironing board was broken and dirty and the second one had a cigarette burn in it and it was extremely dirty. Old and outdated furniture, but it was minutes from the downtown area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was good for the prise"
First visit to Memphis....and let me start by saying it doesnt matter where you stay in this town. For the price , the hotel was fine. Only issue is limited parking for the amount of rooms. I wasnt overly impressed , but Overall satisfiedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"you get what you pay for..."
Although I got his room for a great price and it was located near so many local attractions, I hardly enjoyed my stay. My room key didn't work for my entire stay and I had to constantly go to the front desk to get it reactivated which was such an inconvenience. The kept telling me that the battery was dead and they would fix it, but they never did. […] As far as house keeping goes, every time I came back to my room, my room was not cleaned. I had to ask the front desk to supply my room with toilet paper even though the house keepers had been in my room and left towels. When I first arrived, there was a stain on the blanket on the bed that looked like either lipstick or some other unknown substance. Hardly any of the lights in my room worked and I had to have maintenance fix it when i got there. These are things that should be handled BEFORE a guest arrives to stay for a long period of time at a hotel. Instead, I felt like I was the manager of this hotel since I was pretty much delegating to the staff all the things that needed to get done here. Not only for my room, but for other guest as well. They had no idea what they were doing and some of the staff were extremely rude and didn't seem like they actually wanted to help their guests. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay where you can simply lay your head down for a few hours while you're on vacation, this is the place for you. But if you value quality service and amenities, I would not recommend this place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Super 8 Memphis Graceland"
The staff was very friendly and they offered shuttle service. It was $3.00 a person each trip but we didn't have to worry about finding parking. Would be nice to have a microwave oven but it did have a refrigerator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"DO NOT STAY HERE!"
room was horrible. We were afraid to walk without shoes or socks. We had to go buy over $100 worth of cleaning supplies and air fresheners in order to be able to sleep there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Do not stay here!"
This hotel was unsatisfactory in every way. It was not downtown as they claim. It is located in a run down portion of town. My wife and I walked in the room and walked back out. We did not even stay at the hotel because it was so dirty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room appeared as if it had not been vacuumed in many months. The entire room lacked any semblance of cleanliness, with even the sheets and towels appearing to be dirty. The amount of effort put into cleaning the room appeared to be the bare minimum to qualify as making an attempt.Genuine Expedia guest review
"cheap & easy"
Stayed here because I procrastinated too long for an upscale hotel nearer Beale w/ friends. The motel itself is not very appealing and in a super run-down area. I gave it a "pleasing "review simply because of the transportation they provide. $3.00 go anywhere shuttle made it sooo worth it, Beale st is only 3 min from this motel. Mike, the shuttle driver […] is a great friendly, guy! The breakfast was okay, but Im never up that early anywayso the coffee was always there! Room was in need of "refreshing" as the bedspread had a huge slash mark(like a knife cut)at the bottom of it, if you dont know how to secure the safe shut you wont figure it out, the instructions are so faded, the bathtub/shower were def in need of refreashing. Overall it was fine for the money( which was 1/3 of what my friends paid off of Beale) but next year I am def staying closer to the action! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very dingy room. Motel as a whole appeared dingy. Carpets appeared to be at least 20yrs old and very stained. Bathroom was almost too small to fit in and shower walls were cheap and stained. I didnt want to let my toddler grandchildren touch the floor! I have stayed in many super 8s and this was by far the worst!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pay a little more and stay somewhere else!"
Just glad it was only a 1 night stay, and really only 9 hours of being there. The "non-smoking" room smelled like an old ash tray, and there were dark stains/marks on the pillow cases. The tub had a dripping faucet, and we were left with less than half a roll of toilet paper and no replacement roll. The elevator was working, but old and seemingly missing […] buttons. We needed somewhere to sleep and glad it was for only 5 hours and it was late, other than that I would have been very disappointed. It is located in the corner of no where. Hotel conveniently located close to riverfront and Downtown/Beale St. Also provides shuttle service for 3$ 1way. Room very run down and old, slightly falling apart with no light bulbs and a half inch gap under door. Slept great though the bed comfortable. The only lights were the ceiling lights in bathroom. "better then i thought"
from the reviews that i had read prior i thought we would be finding a new place to stay within a few hours, BUT it looks like they had started doing a lot of work to make it better and had been reading the online reviews. we were very surprised at what we saw, and even though we went in the off season it seemed like it was always full. this was close […] to everything the only bad thing was you had to go on the interestate to get places even if it was 5 minutes away. i would stay there again and with my family, we were very pleased at how they had changed things from what we had read before. The surrounding area is hideous. No place to eat so we drug our camper through Memphis. We do recommend Central BB-Q! We were too afraid to unhook it and leave it in the parking lot. Rooms were beat up but surprisingly clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was in a great convenient location, however, the condition of the hotel lacked a lot.
