Days Inn - Vancouver Metro - Vancouver

While this hotel was not in the most ideal neighborhood for our vacation, it suited our needs very well. We were close enough to drive anywhere in Vancouver, but far enough from the downtown to not pay top dollar. The room was furnished nicely and every thing was clean and comfortable, but we didnt spend much of our day in the room. The only gripes […] with the room was he lack of channels on the tv, and the small size of the bathroom. But, as I said we didnt spend too much time in the room anyways. It is relatively close to a sky train stop to get you downtown quickly if you dont have a car, or are drinking heavily as we were, but the neighborhood it is in is not really the best. Predominantly asian area, we stuck out like a sore thumb. The breakfast was very basic; cereal, muffins, bagels etc... but it was complementary which helped with our budget. Also there's no fee for parking, which is why we chose this hotel over another one. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Overall the hotel is what you would expect for the price. Clean, comfortable room with surprisingly comfortable beds. Bathroom is on the small side but that is to be expected considering the age of the building. The hotel is close to and very accessi ble to downtown. The frontdesk clerks were very helpful to my inquiries. It was a surprise for me though when the dayshift manager asked my visa to be charged $50 for future damage or items lost. The room (deluxe #125) was small, the 2nd bed was about 8-10 inches away from the wall; the shower room was small; no […] bathroom fan so it smelled when one sat in the toilet. Our room was cleaned only the next day after I informed the desk clerk it wasn't cleaned for the day. For cheap stay and don't care for anything else, this is your place. OK, I am a well seasoned traveler. A very poor seasoned traveler at that. So, booking this I was expecting the usual shifty place. However, entering/check-in was a great experience. Then we shuffled to our room.. The ATRIUM is a beautiful garden. All the rooms face this garden, certainly taking you away from the CITY, and congestion. Rooms were very clean, small, but clean. This was an inexpensive place to stay. Spent two nights. It had easy access to what we wanted. Get room away from McDonald's 24 hour parking lot and away from loud busy street in hotel front. Staff was very nice and helpful.

the woman checking us in was very helpful- ensured we got a room that met our needs. unfortunately it was loud at night as the exit door slammed repeatedly. the room had what we needed, including coffee and a mini fridge. the bathroom was tiny and had a walk in shower. in the morning the woman at the desk questioned me about which room I was in and […] there had been a mix up in their record keeping. For some reason, I expected waffles during breakfast. There were none. Also, there were no protein rich foods like for example eggs offered. Only bread, bagels, cereal, cream cheese, pastries, green apples and fruit spread.

I had a great 2nights stay at this hotel. I mainly chose it based on the price, free parking, bfast, and wifi. We were given a room on the second floor next to the stairs and facing the courtyard. It was quiet for the most part, but we'd hear people walking across the path and stairs from time to time. And the windows aren't sound proofed, so that's […] my only complain. I parked my rental car in their lot and found that Vancouver public transportation to be very convenient. It takes about 25 mins to get to downtown/ Stanley park. There are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel as well as Mc Donald's right next door. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, I recommend this hotel and would definitely come back. Loved the location, we took the sky train so it was a short walk to Nanaimo station through a lovely neighborhood. Also we are late risers so the McDonads right next door was a huge plus. And we love trying new foods and right across the street was a Vietnamese restaurant. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful.

The "Manager" was the least friendly - "breakfast" was a joke. Just came from Holiday Inn Express in Seattle and the differences were amazing. I can see why the "garden" is featured on the website for Days Inn - it was the only really nice thing there.

Very nice stay. The only issue we had was no elevator. We had two very large suitcases and it was hard to lug them up two flights of stairs. Otherwise, our room was very nice. Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy.

The hotel isn't in downtown, but it is easy to downtown becuase of the public transportation is accessible. The bus is a block away and the skyline train is 10 minutes walk from the hotel a 3 minutes by bus.

The main street out front of the motel is being torn up for sewer pipes and its going to last a few months at least. Try to get a room on the lower floor as no elevators & stairs narrow. For our one night stay and the price we paid, it was ok. Not far from downtown, but on a noisy street due to construction. The room was surprisingly, for "Days Inn", clean. The breakfast was usual: sereal, milk, cofee, bagels, apples. Free parking was a nice addition. Overall it was a good experience since we needed only a bed for one night.

The price was right and you get what you pay for. It was clean enough and easy to find. We liked that it had free parking and breakfast. It is right next door to a McDonald's but there are not a lot of restaurants in the area. It is quite a ways from most sights but the Skytrain is not too far away.

The hotel is 10 mins from downtown. Breakfast was good and the WIFI OK... The bathroom was very small that 2 people would have problems moving around. In the bathroom you can hear all night the water flushing from other rooms, very strange. For the rest it was a good hotel.

Hotel is pretty central to all of the must see sights. I booked using hotels.com and got a pretty good deal for my room. I must say that the walls are very thin - you can hear EVERYTHING that's going on outside of your room, and the bed was pretty hard. Other than that, the room was very tidy and smelled good.
