Hadn't expected too much beyond a basic hotel room and that is pretty much what I got. Only negative was that their "high speed" internet wasn't very. As a plus, however, there is a strip club across the street.

My wife was in stanford medical center (15 min away) i would spend all day with her. I would get back to the hotel around 9pm. If your looking for simple afforable place to sleep its a great deal.. Would i stay with my 5 year old and wife no.

I stayed 3 nights while in town for work. Overall the hotel was nice - clean, nicely remodeled. However the walls were super thin and I could always hear someone snoring or a tv at night.

We checked out of the hotel a few minutes after arriving. The rooms were not clean. The carpets were stained, and there was an horrific order in the room. We were highly disappointed as the location was close to Stanford University Hospitals where my nephew was having open heart surgery, and the staff at Days Inn was not very accommodating.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel set back from the busy El Camino Real, and therefore quiet. Also clean and comfortable, with a helpful and welcoming staff. Nothing swank, and the neighborhood's a bit iffy, but for a short business stay it was fine, and the price was excellent.

The customer service was fab and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and very spacious. I stayed here because it was close to Stanford without Palo Alto prices, and would recommend it to anyone else needing access to the University. Freindly staff, hotel needs a little work, owener was redoing the rooms during my stay, new paint, new fixtures cleaning the hotel up a lot. If your a contractor this is a good place to stay, lots of parking, good rates near some good places to eat

Sam the Manager was very nice and helpful. The hotel is near several restaurants both fast food and fine dining. Some within walking distance or short drive. Near the Stanford Outpatient Medical Clinic. Although the surrounding area seemed a bit rundown (there's a gentleman's club across the street) I felt safe. When I booked the room online there was an area asking if there were any specifics we wanted. The only thing I asked for was that the room be on the ground floor.When we arrived there,the woman at the front desk said our room was upstairs. My husband informed her that I couldn't go up those stairs because I'm handicapped. As they say " it is a good value for the money." but older, and a bit dated. it is in a "motel" style building with outside doors to the rooms. nothing fancy, but nothing bad either. But clean. Breakfast buffet was good, but nothing fancy. minutes from Stanford Univ, Route 101 and many good restaurants.

The rooms were comfortable , but in desperate need of an update. Older TV's , the room we had had a stove but no dishes or utensils. The coffee maker was missing parts, and the bathroom had no hairdryer. Positive side, staff was freindly , the bed was comfortable and it was a quiet stay.

The location was perfect to where we needed to be for the weekend. However, after arriving later in the evening we found it was not in a very good part of town. The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable. The room was dirty.

This location was close to the freeway making it very easy to get to. The surrounding neighborhood was kind of sketchy with the only topless bar in Redwood City being acrossed the street. I liked how the driveway took you off of the main road though, it was very quaint and quiet. Good price/quality ratio. Located in a dull environment but close to Hearst castle (6 miles) and a few restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast is not included but you can join the breakfast buffet for 6,99, not good not bad. Internet cost you 2,99/24 h.

Good enough for the price. Didn't need to interact much with the staffs so can't give opinion there. The sauna wasn't working. Swimming pool was open and was relatively clean. The room is spacious, has a fridge and microwave. TV only has local channels, not even ESPN

Half way through my trip i used […] Expedia for a new place and found this Days Inn. i was REALLY suspicious - the price was really good (for Silicon Valley) so i suspected it was run down and in a terrible neighborhood. Instead, it was next to a Ferrari dealership a few miles from Stanford University. It was set back from the road in a private, nicely manicured area. My room was gigantic and the fridge, A/C, microwave, etc. were all obviously new and fancy (i'd never had a hotel where the room A/C had a thermostat to guarantee the temperature). The place isn't a $300/night Hilton or Hyatt with glass elevators and Michellin-rated chefs but for normal people, this is a great place. i can't imagine staying anywhere else on my next trip to the area. My husband and I were going to a weeknight concert and decided to book a room nearby rather than do the 90-minute trip home and back to work the next door. Unfortunately all the parents were in town taking their kids to Stanford and other nearby schools. We got a new room and the hotel is in a location convenient to my office and the train so my husband could get into San Francisco easily the next morning. The hotel is actually set back from El Camino and not at an intersection, so getting there from the south was a *minor* hassle. The room was large and new, but the bathrom should have had an exhaust fan. The continental breakfast was fine, but it's probably poor form to let your one desk clerk skip out and post a sign to call a number for service when you know a bunch of people need to check out and be on their way. There was no one there on Friday morning to check me out, I left them a message and didn't hear back, had to call back to confirm they weren't going to charge me for another night. The room itself was actually nice, high ceilings, comfortable bed. The balcony had no handle on the outside door so you couldn't close it, and my balcony had no chairs.

It was ok for the money. the nicer hotels were much too expensive this time of year. the continental breakfast was more modest than at most hotels. a room 2 doors down had a very noisy air conditioner going all night.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The pool was sparkling clean and the beautiful gardens were so well manicured! We will plan on using the Days Inn again when we are in Redwood City for doctor and hospital visits!
