The service was horrible. The staff were rude and not polite. The room was fine. Other than hearing loud bangs from the walk way from outside. The surrounding area alright. The parking lot needed to be repaved and evened out. Overall not the place I was expecting. I would not recommend for anyone to stay.

The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was sufficient. The room literally stunk. I was supposed to have a non-smoking room, but they put smoking rooms next door to non-smoking and the smell either comes in through the vents or else it used to be a smoking room. Staff not very friendly or welcoming. Breakfast was horrible and area seemed dirty. I've stayed a few times but you never go back in for the breakfast, unless it improves. Other furniture in the room (couch or chairs) are very dirty. I sat down on the couch on to of a towel I felt I had to put down . When I pick the towel up it was very dirty.

We had stayed here before. Location is great for downtown and regional activities. This time only a shampoo and a small facial soap were left out. Our prior trip had conditioner and lotion too. Minor, but with a woman in the room, it would have been appreciated it. The new HD TV was ery nice.

I booked a non-smoking room. I opened the door to a very strong odor of cigarette smoke. They gave me another room and as soon as I turned on the air conditioner the room reeked of cigarette smoke. Hotel is old and in desperate need of a facelift.

People nice and friendly. Place is a dump. Overpriced for what you get. TV remote did not work. A/C noisy. It is close to the entrance to the expressway. The motel is old and not well kept. It is OK for a night's stay but eveything is expensive in Virginia Beach.

It was disgusting. The lobby smell like chittlings during their complimentary breakfast. I was afraid to use the bathrooms because the cleanliness was definately in question after discovering the previous guest used washrag on the shower rod and nasty toilet. I took a shower with my flip flops on because it was so nasty. There was also an empty vitamin […] water bottle in the freezer that was from the previous guest. The remote and T.V. did not operate well. The bed was decent, but that is the only thing I can say nicely about this installation. I don't think that the rooms were thoroughly cleaned. Althought the room was clean, The hotel seemed more like an SRO with people arriving in taxi cabs to their rooms like they lived there and old men sitting outside of their room getting drunk. The security device that is now used like the old chain so you don't have to open the door all the way was broken in 4 places. All the floors in our room was dirty, and weird thumping noises like a door slaming kept us up all night. In the morning we decided to check out the Continental Breakfast which they advertise "includes waffles", did not. It was just cold cereal, bananas, OJand milk... their dining area is in the lobby, which smelled. We went to McDonalds instead. Housekeeping […] only took the dirty towels and the trash but didn't leave new towels, trash liners or make the beds. When we came back to the room from dinner, my card key wouldn't work, and this Indian man came up who barely spoke English telling me "It's dead, it's dead." He let me into my room with a master key and tried to stop me from going in sayng I needed to go to the office. Yeah I know I need to go to the freaking office, can I please drop off my stuff first? The room was ok, we should have paid way less. When we walked in it was all bright shiny and new, then I killed a roach. That was the end of it all. Didn't even bother to tell the staff if one room has them they all have them. I made sure I cleaned out my suite case outside of my home though.

Our door lock did not work, which I only found out after we'd been out for the evening. Old Matresses were piled up at the end of the parking lot. There was a crack in the sink. I would never book this hotel again or recommend it.

Room was filthy - sheets had not been changed nor trash emptied. We checked in late at night at a walk up window - no access to lobby. we left after seeing the room. At check-in they required a credit card in the event of incidentals - then charge it for 2 nights although I had already paid for the room thru Hotels.com. Stay away!
