This was the second time I've stayed at the Days Inn Miami North. I chose it first because of the free shuttle from the airport to the hotel, and the free shuttle to the Port of Miami. I returned for the same reason. The rooms have been clean and comfortable. The lobby is pleasant. The location is not perfect, as it doesn't seem too close to any other […] dining or shopping without taking a taxi, but wasn't a deal breaker. I arrived at night both time, and departed thru the lobby to the back parking area so I don't really have much of an impression of the location or the appearance of the hotel. The girls at the registration desk were really nice and helpful. We had cold water for our shower. We paid $20 to get back from our cruise a TSA van took us they made us wait 2 hours in 90 some degree heat. The hotel included the way there by TSA which was great but on the way back to pick up our car TSA did not even care. It was not the hotel's fault […] it was TSA so if you stay do not take the TSA van back it was a shame what they did. I was staying in Best Western Premier the night before I moved here. The reason why I moved here is because the price is cheaper (about half of the rate provided by BWP) and it provides a queen bed, free wifi service and airport shuttle. To my dismay, i don't even think the experience there worth the price at all.. I would have just stayed in other […] hotels instead of moving here. The wifi service is awful; I got disconnected very often. The first room I had smelled like a dead body so I requested the room service to change one for me. The second room smelt quite stuffy in a different way. Keep in mind the windows are shut and the only way to ventilate is the air conditioner. I never showered during my stay here since I discovered a huge insect climbing on the shower curtain the morning before i left. I am staying in Room 112 and since I moved in that afternoon, I kept getting calls from the hotel telephone. When I picked up, no one responded. I thought someone was playing a prank on the former residents so I told them it is the wrong number. Then during the night, I did not unplug the phone since I thought I need morning call service to wake me up; unfortunately, over the night, for every less than an hour, it phone will ring in different tones, I even thought the place is haunted at one point. The anonymous call never stopped so I called the front desk to complain. The guy there told me they would help me to solve the problem but never worked. The service is bad....
