It was perfect for some college students looking for a cheap room for drinking and commuting Toronto. That being said, the phone in the room did not work and the room smelled horrible and was stuffy. So if you want a room spending little to no money then these are the things you have to deal with. :)

The heater was very hard to get the right warm/cold temperature. The sheet had blood stain (the second night of the stay). I have to get the room keycard re-validated every night in order to get into the room (pain).

The bathroom is a bit bigger then average budget hotel/motel that we've been to in the past few days. There's a fridge in the room, & small coffee maker, but no microwave, no ironing board. Breakfast area is so small & no hot food. But it's ok, we prefer to try local food outside.

The room was clean and pretty average for the price range. No problems with the room whatsoever. The property was pretty plain and small. Only a 3 floor hotel with 1 hallway per floor. For the price I was very happy and would rent again.

I loved the location and since I was alone I took a single queen bed room. It was clean and comfortable but tiny. Had I not been just an over night guest it would have been cramped - a disaster if I brought my wife and her stuff. Great Place but take the bigger room if you are not alone

The hotel was convenient to my appointments. It is outdated as far as carpeting, furniture, etc. Ceiling in the room needed some repair. Overall, it was comfortable and clean. It still uses comforters on the bed. God only knows how often they get cleaned.

This is a good hotel for rate it offers. Stayed their with a family for 3 nights. Continental breakfast has nothing special (beagels and coffe/tee), but overall it is a good place to stay.

We had no problems except that I left an expensive and brand new bottle of shampoo in the shower. I called the hotel and confirmed the rooms had not yet been cleaned--and requested they hold the shampoo as I would come through in 2 days and p ick it up. I called back after the rooms were cleaned and the cleaning staff claimed it was gone. I'm sure someone […] is enjoying my shampoo. So, as long as you don't check out and leave anything of value--you'll be pleased. If you forget something--its open season even if you call in and stated "please hold on to this item as I will be back". The hotel was clean, well maintained, and it is currently being renovated/updated. The room included amenities such as a small fridge and an ironing board. The only downside was a worn and uncomfortable bed. If you don't requre fancy accomodations, this hotel is a perfect alternative for the budget minded traveler.

This was my first stay in the hotel of this price range north of the US-CA border. The hotel itself is rather aging building inside. Lobby is either in the state of full redesign & reconstruction or the pictures of it are complete fake. In any event don't expect what you see on them when you walk in. Rooms are small by US standards and feel cluttered […] with excess furniture. At first I had a single queen bed room that had a chest of drawers with TV on top, an armchair, a wardrobe cabinet, and coffee table. Again, pictures of the rooms on hotels.com are taken in such a way that makes rooms spacious. Bathrooms are spacious with good water pressure and lots of hot water. As I mentioned before, the decor is rather aging. Bathtubs feel dated and overused with complicated water controls. Ceiling above bore traces of crude repair with plaster and there were places with wallpaper separating. Towels, while in good supply and clean, were also overused and rough to the point of scratching your body. And then there was the Heater!!! Overnight temperature suddenly dropped by around 20C. In the morning I've noticed that I'm actually freezing and heater box is not blowing any air into the room. I fiddled with controls to no avail and went downstairs to get help. The guy came up with me and verified that the unit was dead. Said something about breakers being off and went upstairs to turn them back on. In about a minute I felt a very loud explosion with a flash of light behind my back as the power was turned on. I ran out of my room and told the guy that he'd be kidding me if I'm to continue to stay in that room. Apparently, he was reluctant to believe me and proceeded to examine the heater. It looks like the power chord was wrapped with electrical tape that had now melted. This was room #208, beware and avoid it. After that I was put in another room on a 3rd floor with 2 double beds. Where do I begin?? I was being cheap & paid the price for it. Unfriendly front desk staff, didn't matter morning, noon or night. Old man owner included. Would be 10X better if staffed by robots. I like the room layout. Housekeeping good and on time! Nice clean hallways. The only two things that I don't like about the hotel, is the convienience of the location. The best thing about the hotel was the friendly and helpful staff. The person on duty during our checkin was the best he was so helpful. The hotel was nice and clean, and the breakfast was also good. The hotel has no laundry facility and was the only drawback. The parking is ample and there are restaurants nearby.

room itself was clean. bed was rock hard and too low to the floor for me. sheets were wonderfully smooth. mildew on grout in shower and the vanity over the toilet had pulled away from the wall. repairs to bathroom ceiling seemed unfinished. disappointed there were no recycling bins in room or hallways.

We had four nights here with easy access to Toronto areas. Very friendly and helpful evening desk clerk helped us plan our activities for the following day. Loved our visit even though it was during the heat wave. Room was always a comfortable place to return for the night.
