GOOD THANKS FOR EVERYTHING

"small rooms but nice"
small size rooms than normal but well kept
"good location and brand new facilities"
Overall satisfied... And reasonable price..
"Holiday Inn Toronto Downtowne Centre"
The room was clean and comfortable, although it was very small. We were on the 12th floor and it was a bit warm in our room (the thermostat indicated the heat wasn't on, but it was 77 degrees). Dinner in the hotel restaurant was good and the staff was attentive. The only real complaint was the water in the shower was lukewarm.
The hotel is very nice however our room on the 22flroor was very hot and dry and neither my wife or 2yr old son could sleep, which made for a very long day the following day.
"Great but quick stay"
The room was small- but was clean. Great location!
"Great location"
Great location, great service... only complaint is that they make you pay $100 deposit per night upon check-in (they don't advertise this). That's the highest I've paid for a deposit. *One good thing was that a movie Cinema is located next door.

"Average Hotel"
The trash cans in the room were full when we checked in, otherwise the room was clean. The rooms are on the small side.
When I made my reservation, I asked if parking was included and I was told yes. When I went to check out, they charged me $25.00. If I had know that I would have parked at the public parking beside the hotel as it would likely had been cheaper. I also wanted to pay cash for the room and they told me that Hotel.com was paying for my room............what […] a laugh, who do they think was going to pay Hotel.com. The parking garage was a very scary place to get around in and you had to be so carefull not to hit another car. Read more

"elevator nightmare"
The elevator took over 30 minutes to get on. It stopped at every floor because so many people were waiting, even at 2 am. The front desk did not care about the problem. People had to line up to use the stairs. My 4 year old son had to walk 24 flights of stairs. We had to carry our luggage. What a work out!! When I later called the Holiday Inn 1 800 […] number they credited me $7.50. I couldn't believe it (less than 3 percent) Sure won't be staying here again Read more
"Excellent Rate and Location"
I was very pleased to find that the hotel was a block and half from the subway. Very easy to find. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Again great rate with an excellent location. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks,
"Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre"
The hotel has changed hands and been renovated. The biggest change is that the rooms, though new and well appointed, are very small. The hallways are claustrophobic and the elevators seem unable to keep up with demand. Check-in is awkward if you drive there- the front door has nowhere to drop off luggage so you have to park in a "no standing" zone (hoping […] you won't be ticketed while you race in to find out how to access the parking garage.) Once parked (around the block) you access the hotel from below by elevator therefore must drag all your luggage by hand. The parking garage is also very tight- parking a large car is a struggle. The hotel is clean and newly decorated but our room was extremely snug for 2 people. The walls must be thin because noise from the hallways and adjoining room was loud and annoying. The area is central to public transportation and major tourist areas so if location is more important than space, this hotel is fine. It was clean and attractive just claustrophobically small. "Great location for our needs..."
We had a good weekend in Toronto staying at the HI-TDC. Subway is a very short walk. Cinema right next door. UToronto an easy walk. Breakfast at the hotel was tasty, but priced a bit high, we thought. Drawbacks of the place were that we couldn't get the room to cool down (we were on the top floor), and early morning noise due to construction next door […] (dump trucks at 5am beeping on reverse) made for early wakeups. Elevator waits were gruesome at times (you could tell when a sports team or airline crew had arrived...or were traveling en masse). The housekeeper's storage room was right outside our door, and, thankfully, we were already awake when they showed up, as they were very chatty/vivacious. Would have disturbed our sleep otherwise, I'm sure. We'd stay there again, but would probably ask for a room closer to ground floor (hopefully less heat, and shorter elevator waits) and not near the housekeeping storage areas. Read more
The rooms are small but very modern and updated, The hotel is close to Young St. Eaton Center and Reyerson college which we visited. The parking garage was expensive $25 for 1 day and the garage itself is small. Elevators were slow.
"grrrrrr elevators"
Hotel was fine except only 2 out of the 4 elevators were working. Waits were very long and the elevators would shift to go up instead of down after I had pressed down.
"disappointed"
the elevators take FOREVER. I was at the top floor...and it would take at least 15 minutes to get to my room at any time of the day. there was no valet parking and the parking garage was full the entire time we were there. we had to lug our 5 bags around the block from the other parking lot...which we had to put money into every 12 hours. beds were […] extremely uncomfortable. very firm. on a positive note, its within walking distance from everything in the city. the only time we took the subway was if it was too cold to walk. the breakfast buffet was great. "Holiday Inn"
Nice hotel, recently renovated and updated. Everything was fine, personnel was helpful. The cons are that the room was very tiny, it felt like we were in a little match box. Otherwise the space was utilized at the maximum possible way. Not convenient for handicapped people and families with strollers, but this seems to be the con for whole Toronto. […] We noticed it in the subway, the trolley cars, restaurants, etc. Read more
"Staying @ Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre"
Great Hotel, clean, comfortable, easily accessible to the Gay nightlife on Church St..
"Good Price for DownTown"
But 25 CDollar for each night for parking
"My Stay at Holiday Inn Toronto"
I loved everything about this hotel. Only issue I had was when I was leaving the parking garage the machine would not take any of my credit cards. My credit cards were fine; the machine had issues.
"Will for sure come back"
Had a nice view of the CN tower which I did not expect. The rooms were clean and modern. Best location, best value!

"Horrible parking situation"
parking at the hotel costs over $20, however it is very limited. The lot was full when we returned that night. When I told the front desk worker that the lot was full and I had nowhere to park, he said "ya i know. Here's where you park" and handed me a paper with information for a public parking lot next door. This public parking lot cost $10 to park […] at, after the hotel had already charged me $25 to park in their lot. So at check out, I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to ask to have the charge removed from my bill. The front desk worker during check out questioned the validity of where I had parked and initally was not going to refund me the $25, until I explained to him the situation 3 times. If you plan on having a car during your stay, don't stay at this hotel Read more

"Holiday Inn Toronto in Toronto"
Nice Hotel, convenient to most attractions, clean, had a coffee shop and bar.... However our room was very small...plus... we occurred other charges we didn't know about... even though we paid in advance. Extra for parking your car there, making a local call (even when using a phone card)...plus a huge charge held on your credit card...(without my […] knowledge)...for incidentals that may happen...during your stay. The later made me very upset. Let me end by saying...besides the above the hotel was good. Read more
"Really Small Hallways..."
The hotel was clean and the employees were totally helpful with everything we needed. That means the hotel probably accomplished its number one goal. That being said - there was no air conditioner on in the hallways or the elevators and when its 90 degrees out - it got really really warm. Uncomfortably warm in the elevators which were slow. The hallways […] were extremely narrow - I had to turn to my side to get past the cleaning card. So between the small spaces and the unbearable heat, I felt pretty claustrophobic. The room was clean but very very small. We had a king size bed and brought a pac-n-play for our son. We had to move the bed to put the pac-n-play down. The room we had didn't have a bathtub, we requested a different room with a tub because we had an infant with us. The hotel said the only rooms with tubs had two full size beds instead of queens. I asked if the pac-n-play would fit in a room with two fulls and the employee said no, we'd have to put the pac-n-play on top of one of the beds. Uhm, no thanks. We just took our son in the shower with us and moved the king size to make room for the pac-n-play. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The shower had two glass doors, one that didn't move. So you had to get into the shower to turn the water on which was kind of crappy to have a blast of cold water before your shower. The neighborhood was fine, probably not the nicest but it was within walking distance of the eaton center and had a subway stop down the block. Read more

"Modern Hotel"
Rooms are very modern but small. Good for couples. Bed was pretty comfortable and huge! Great location, walking distance to subway and metro stations. 25 to 30 mins from the airport wich means $60 taxi. Free internet in rooms. Indoor pool was nice but gym was small. We will consider to stay here again.
We were pleased with our stay here !! the room was VERY clean and I felt it was large enough. We did not eat in the hotel (breakfast buffet, but we thought it was pricey) Great location - near the subway. There was some noise outside our room - in the street and the police came, but it was brief and I felt the neighborhood was safe. There was a fire […] (or fire alarm - really not sure) on the first morning of our stay and then at least once more. We were already up, but did have to walk down 16 flights of stairs - a little unnerving !! I would probably stay here again and hope it isn't an everyday event !! Read more
"Downtown Toronto"
Rooms were tiny, more like a pod hotel than a standard room but the place was very well maintained and updated. Location is great, within walking distance of everything.

room too hot. Frig did not work. request for replacement unfullfilled.
The only problem was the fire alarm went off for 30 minutes Saturday morning - no fire - just alarm problems. Otherwise, great location; clean, reasonable price.
"Holiday Inn Centro Toronto"
Room was tight/small for four people. The location required a cab ride or subway ride to major attractions which added to the cost. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I
"Holiday Inn Downtown Toronto"
Good location. Very clean. Rooms small but nice. Generally, very good choice.
"Close to subway; felt unfriendliness at check-in"
+ Close to subway (College Station) + Clean room - unwilling to solve a problem in check-in - expensive parking rate ($25/day)
"Good Location"
Nice area.

"I usually stay here and really like it, but it's changing to a Holiday Inn."
I've always had good luck with rooms, staff and parking at Day's Inn Toronto. The rooms are small, but it's just me staying there, so works for one or two at the most. When I checked out I wanted to make a reservation for April and was told that they will be closing as a Day's Inn at the end of January 2010 and then reopening at the end of May 2010 […] as a Holiday Inn. I think certain things such as linens, furniture and all will be upgraded, as probably the paint colors etc. The rates will probably go up, but I would hope that they then would include the rather pricey parking fee of $22.00 per day. The price of parking is my only real complaint with this hotel. Read more

"Good but small rooom for the money"
The hotel was in one of the best locations in Toronto, right in between yonge street and carlton street, both live houses of the city. The hotel room it self was very small and the toilet had an annoying sound to it. It was very manageable though for the price. I plan on staying at this hotel again. Only for its location though. The room itself was […] very outdated and the "complimentary internet service" only works in a room on the 2nd floor where you have to bring your own laptop and set it up. The wireless in the room does not connect at all and if it does its only for two minutes. Also, parking is 22 $ per day per car so it is pretty pricey. We parked ont he street the first night and got a ticket. The hotel is in a great location though, right near many clubs, restaurants and shops. Read more

"great hotel for the money"
i have already recommended this hotel to my friends and family. it's in a great location. close to transportation and shopping. only thing please have the coffee pot clean. when i made tea it taste like coffee. i hate coffee.
"Clean but Cramped"
The rooms here are tiny. We had a lot of luggage as we were there for a week and virtually no one to stash it. When you unload your car (we had to do it at the back entrance) the door to the hotel was already locked. It was recommended we empty out and put it in a lot as theirs was full. Then we were locked out as we hadn't checked in. (?) We were on […] Floor 22 and the heat system was above 23 so it was always very hot in our room. Even opening the window didn't help. We requested a change and they put us on 19 which was still hot so we immediately moved down to 12 which was fine. They always were quick to respond if you had a request. You mush be fairly close to lobby to use the internet. Read more
"Needs Improvement"
Hotel is in great location, close to all. Down fall is the stiff parking of $22/day. Small rooms & bath room. Toilet bowl not keeps running water after flushing. The closet doors seems new but the tv very old. Hotel staffs are nice. Overall, rooms need an upgrade.

"not a luxury hotel"
But, they don't claim to be. Room was small, but I don't spend much time in the room. Ditto bathroom. But it was clean and quite. Elevators are very busy 7 - 8 am and 5-6 pm.
