Nice hotel, friendly staff. The Bistro adds a nice touch and convenience that we took advantage of. Only problem we had was a power outage on the day we checked in that lasted until 7:30 p.m. so we sat in the dark. I think we should have recieved a discount for that, but none was offered.

Location was very convenient. Hotel was clean and worth my money. Check-In staff was polite. There was one incident with management though. Parking lot sprinklers need to be adjusted. My husband parked his car far (2 feet) from the curb and the sprinklers still managed to leave water stains on his car. He was very upset and went to make a complaint. […] The manager came out with a witty attitude and told him, "I'm sorry, but we have to water our grass. Why don't you just wipe it?" Of course he tried to wipe it beforehand and it would NOT come off. She told us to park somewhere else away from the sprinklers. The manager was very rude, smirking and couldn't believe that someone was actually complaining about their sprinklers and water spots . We parked farther out where there was no grass and there were still sprinklers coming on and spraying the car. The manager was not very understanding and very rude. My husband called the corporate/customer service line and they ended up calling the manager to have our car brought into a car wash. They gave us a twenty for the car wash, of course that doesn't help, as specific work needs to be done to clean water stains/spots. We did get the breakfast with our stay. Food was okay, I had the eggs, sausage and toast. Sausage was very greasy from being deep fried and had freezer burns on it, made me feel sick. .... I needed a place to stay overnight to spend time with my daughter to celebrate her birthday. This place was awesome. The heated pool and hot tub was great, the rooms where nice and clean and everything you needed was very close. Very nice location.

We were very disappointed with the condition of the hotel. It looks like it is in need of a good cleaning in the common areas, especially the elevator areas. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows too squishy. Towels were marginal. We purchased the breakfast as part of our pkg. We were told the times, but when we showed up 15 minutes before […] closing they told us it was closed. They could have provided us with a breakfast ticket with the times on it to avoid this problem. Perhaps because it was a hotels.com special we did not get the usual Marriott service. The location was great. But if I were you I would stay at the Hilton Garden Inn at this same location. The property was clean and convenient as it was located right by the hwy on-ramps. I attended my cousin's wedding in Saratoga Springs this was a perfect location to stay. The staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable and the room was spotless and quite spacious. We had a double queen on the 3rd flr. It was quiet. There were a lot of families with kids […] at the hotel but we never heard them. There is a small in-room fridge and free internet connection. It was very nice. Valco mall was within walking distance. The one and only downside is that the entrance was hard to locate. It isn't well marked as it sits behind the Hilton. Maybe a small arrow sign at the end of the drive so guests can see the turn in? (fyi- the Hilton offered much smaller rooms and a smaller pool for the price I paid.) I was very happy. I was to attend a funeral, I got early check-in, that was wonderful because I was driving in from out of town and had to get ready by 2:30. Then of course, I didn't plan lunch ahead, the cafe closed right after I arrived and I went to the "store" nothing but meat, I don't eat meat. So, I went exploring, which I didn't have time to do. I lived in this […] neighborhood growing up in my teens and everything has changed. I walked over to the Asian market and stores where I didn't have a clue...walked back went inside the other adjacent hotel and they had a "store" too. They had a frozen chicken pot pie(I eat chicken) I took it and hurried back to my room. No microwave in the room!!?? I took it back down stairs and tried to use the microwave down there but it wasn't working right and I had to stand there and cook it 30 sec. at a time. The person at the desk was busy with the same people forever so he was not available to help and no one else was around. It was finally cooked after 10 min. and pushing the button 10 times. Then I had to figure out how to carry that hot pot pie back up stairs. The ice machine put out melted ice. By then I was running late and was upset. I went to a Marriott for the customer service expected but...was disappointed and forgot my water bottle in the fridge never expect to get it back. By the way the fridge wasn't even cold, it was cool. The main thing you should know here is that I am the last person to complain and can tolerate a great deal and shrug it off. But this was a bad day, attending the funeral of my friend of 38 years and I wanted to be taken care of. I spent the extra money to ensure that. Next time I'll stay with friends. Read more
