Our room had a great view, but you could hear the street noise very clearly (we were on the 4th floor). The staff was great, especially the three ladies who worked at the dining counter downstairs. I stayed at this hotel because I was attending an event at the convention center. It was a very short walk to there as well as to Canal Street and the various touristy spots near there. The hotel itself was nice, thought the room was rather dated. However, while I was there I did receive a note that the rooms were scheduled to undergo rennovation sometime […] in future. The room was large and the beds very comfortable. The staff was accommodating. The only draw back was the outside noise could be heard inside which can be disruptive as the city does not sleep and with thin walls neither may you.

Very good location, we walked some blocks to get to the Casino, Riverwalk, Canal St. It is on the Whse District near to art gallerias. The only issue in NOLA is the parking, is a little expensive everywhere. A block from the Hotel we found an overnight parking for 20 dlls. We stayed at this hotel for five nights while attending a conference. The first few nights were fine and there was little to complain about; however, the last night (Thursday) the music started. Now this was not some simple street noise it was VERY LOUD music that literally shook the windows (yes vibrating). The music lasted until 3 in the morning and […] we found it impossible to sleep (even with earplugs)! When we told the front desk that we were not able to sleep until after 3 AM due to the music from the night club. We were told “wow normally the music lasts until 4.” I feel that this was completely unacceptable. At first I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt but the staff knew and made a joke of the situation. As a business hotel I felt thet should at least warn customers that the music is very loud at night and you may need to move to an interior room. It's much cheaper to stay here than in the French Quarter, and this hotel is clean and mostly comfortable. It's a short walk 15 minute to the French Quarter, and is a block away from a streetcar station for convenience. Lots of nice restaurants in the area as well. Stayed in this hotel over a weekend for a conference. The AC didn't work and the room fronted to a club that didn't close until 4 am each morning. The music from the club was loud enough to have a party in my room. Unfortunately, I actually wanted to sleep.

The hotel was a very good value for the location and in walking distance to the french quarters and Bourbon St. Only problem was the mattress was way too soft. I believe it's time to upgrade the mattresses. This is an older Marriott so it's not as plush as some of the other Marriott hotels

The room was nothing like any Courtyard that I have stayed. At best it rated way below the Marriott standards I have stayed at cheaper hotels for alot better room. They had a cheerleader thing going on but the parents nor the hotel cared how much noise they made. I picked this place because it was close to the Cruise lines. The hotel is average and a bit run down. It seemed like it gets lots of use and has not been maintained well. 2 of 4 exercise machines did not work correctly and the video displays and sound did not work. After staying at less expensive Marriott properties, with better maintenance and better facilities, this was a disappointment. Good news is that I came through this stay unscathed and with all my belongings. The only reason to stay her is the proximity to the convention center. Rock-n-sake makes good sushi and is close. Emeril's one block in the other direction. Food in the hotel was average at best. Last night of stay the hotel was filled with screaming kids who were part of a cheer leading competition at the convention center. All you can say about the rate is that it is priced along with other similar properties in New Orleans. Read more

My wife and I really enjoyed the Couryard Marriot in New Orleans for New Years. We had a room on level 2A which doesn't have a window to the outside, but the room had high ceilings. The Courtyard Marriot was a last minute choice that we would make again.

Over all the hotel was great. The location was very acceptable for us to see the sights and spend time on Bourbon Street to bring in the new year! The only issue I had was that there was no shampoo in our room, no hair dryer, and only 3 bath towels. Apart from few staff members the rest all have an attitude. They gave us a smoking room even though we booked a non-smoking. The bathroom does not have an exhaust. The breakfast concept is tricky and confusing and the manager has no patience to explain it!! They freaking charge 28$ for the car parking!!

The location was great; we were within walking distance of restaurants, the French Quarter, the waterfront trolley and only 2 blocks from our cruise ship (Royal Caribbean). We had read other comments about this hotel, so we knew to ask for a room away from the street, where it was quiet. We had a nice view of the courtyard.

Good solid basic hotel. Clean, spacious rooms, somewhat utilitarian in design. I'm a walker, and could get up Magazine Street with all its shops in the day, and then in the evening head over to French Quarter, liked being mid-point to those two destinations (15 min in either direction).

We arrived at the hotel a day late for our reservations. Our reservation had been cancelled but no problem the desk clerk worked it out to get us two rooms. The rooms were large and well maintained. My personal opinion and mine alone is that the bed is to soft. Everyone else in my party of four loved the beds.

This was a great hotel for the price. The location was fantastic--normally when we stay in New Orleans we need a car to get around, but this hotel was within walking distance to the French Quarter and was very close to the streetcar to go Uptown. Just one complaint. Checked in at noon. Then went out and came back after midnight. Noise by neighboring night club was so loud, it was as if a speaker plus sub-woofer was in our room. They said they only had rooms left on the same front facade to the club. A sheriff's car was in front of the joint and he was drinking with the patrons. Drinks on light […] bar of the patrol car, girls all around it. Hotel gave us ear plugs and free breakfast, so they did what the could. But I would not go back.
