"New, Clean, Comfortable, Falls Short"
This hotel is clean, new, modern, comfortable and friendly. I used the exercise room twice and found all the equipment in great working order and clean. The pool and hot tub was also clean and enjoyable. I have one gripe and it was a big one. If you're staying on someone else's dime this might not be a big deal but working for a non-profit I found this […] to be discouraging. The hotel does not provide free coffee. The "bistro" foods are VERY expensive...VERY. To be the best steward of other peoples money, this was not it. It then forced me to go off sight to find a place to eat. Nothing was close. For most, this might not be a big deal. If you're watching your budget...you might want to consider a different place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
For the cost of the room, it was tooooooo small and was very cramped. Very little drawer space and no microwave. Also, there was no complimentary continental breakfast. Breakfast menu was expensive. Just had coffee, and the girl dropped my change on the counter instead of handing it to me and didn't thank me. Front desk personnel was friendly and h […] elpful. "Solid Business Hotel"
The hotel is in good condition. It is convenient to I-90 and a short commute to Downtown Cleveland and Crocker Park. The workout equipment needs to be updated but overall it works.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would stay again.would like to see breakfast included for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice stay"
The room was very nice...and clean. All of our needs were met. The only thing that I would suggest would be adding more of a restaurant option as well as a "take out" counter. But the hotel is very nice and conveniently located.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The facilities were very nice. However, I upgraded for breakfast and ended up not eating there. The choices were not appealing and the café setup was very confusing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Solid Intermediate Hotel"
this is a good hotel if you are not entertaining at the hotel and for use as a central place to work from. Under construction which always makes for difficult times. The food service was tough on staff, there was no real rhythm on the work flow and they seemed a bit over whelmed with the size of the line...customers tended to get short from the wait. […] But staff remained pleasant...I would recommend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was very clean and room was very comfortable. Was disappointed that remodeling was going on during our stay and that the pool was closed. Wasn't a big fan of their breakfast. Its a little pricey. I usually prefer continental breakfastsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nicely renovated rooms, excellent design and layout. Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed using the swimming pool. Breakfast was a bit slow, but I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay again in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review
Me and family thought the hotel stay very good! The room was very clean and the service was great! The kids had a fun time in the pool. Me and my wife had a relaxing time in the hot tub.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room had a wooden plank under the mattress to support it. The ceiling had water damage and was peeling. Not Marriotts's best foot forwardGenuine Expedia guest review

"What is that smell"
I love Courtyards and typically find they provide all necessary services to make travel comfortable. The staff at this hotel is wonderful, always friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the foul odor that was in my room. It smelled like a damp towel and even with the window open I found it unpleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was very professional and we were very satisified with our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for family of six!"
We had a great stay, close to Huntington Beach and family. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool very much. All of the staff we engaged were VERY courteous. The lobby was gorgeous and the rooms are scheduled to be renovated soon too. We definitely got our money worth using hotels.com.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Would stay again!"
Nice hotel and everything you need... but pricey for a one night stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a great stay; everything was as it should be or better. Front desk and bistro staff were friendly and responsive and amenities exceeded expectations. Location was very good with several attractive restaurants within walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Room was very clean. Only downfall was that it didn't have a refridgerator or microwave in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is not as new it appears on the website. The lobby is nice. The rooms were acceptable but run down and small. The bathroom was very small as well. Clean but not pristine. The pool was tiny. There were a lot of kids teams staying at this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stay at the Westlake Marriott"
The service was professional and quick. Lobby was clean and nice. Rooms were very nice and clean. We were going to the Boneyard restaurant to see a band and it so happened that the two of them were right across the street so we could walk over. Great location for us! Would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, convenient to Rocky River/Cleveland"
I've stayed here many times over the years while visiting relatives in Rocky River. The rooms are clean and comfortable. One of the few hotels I stay at where I find it unnecessary to bring my own pillow. My only complaint this time was that when I turned the heat on to the lowest setting and left the room for dinner, I came back to a virtual sauna! […] Evidently leaving just the fan on would have been sufficient to keep the room comfortable on a day when the temp outside was in the 20s. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love this hotel!"
I always book a room here when I want to go out for a night of fun at Dave and Busters. The hotel is always clean and the staff is always friendly. They just remodeled the lobby and it looks great. I love that you can get a balcony for no extra charge. The rooms are good sized. Not too small... not too big. The beds are the regular Marriott beds, which […] I think are soft and comfortable. You get Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner! Free parking. Free water bottles in your room. So yeah, this hotel is a very good choice! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in Cleveland"
Hotel and bar/bistro area were great. Had a noisy air conditioner.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Rock and Roll Weekend"
It was all very nice. The only reason for '4' ratings is that the hotel is doing some remodeling and there was no lobby available. I was in the Cleveland area with a group occupying five rooms and we had no common place to meet and plan our adventures. p.s. the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is very cool!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Courtyard Westlake Ohio"
When we arrived, we found out the hotel was under a renovation. Should be completed by April or May. The wifi was only available in the temporary lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very good hotel - great facilities; friendly staff and clean rooms; only issue I have is that breakfast is not included and is fairly priceyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cortyard is losing its way!"
I have stayed at Courtyards a number of times. However, I do admit it has been a few years since my last stay. ( My last stays with Marriott have been at Marriott suites. ) Is the Westlake a fairly new Courtyard? I did not like the breakfast menu and the seating area. What happened to dining rooms? I am not an NFL supporter. In fact I think the NFL […] is not reputable sports establishment so I was not pleased to learn that Marriott has become a hotel sponsor. I also remember my Courtyard rooms as being more spacious. I have recently been trying out other hotel chains and I now feel that I am getting more value for my dollar at other hotels. To put it clearly Marriott has some work to do. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Thanksgiving Weekend Stay"
12/02/14 michst2789 Grand Rapids, Michigan
This hotel was situated right along Interstate 90, which was very convenient since we were visiting family in the nearby community of Avon. They had some of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. We arrived Thursday evening around 11:30pm, and were able to get checked in and up to our room very quickly. All of the staff that we encountered were very professional and friendly, which usually comes with the Marriott brand. No free breakfast, but you come to expect that with Courtyards since the introduction of "The Bistro." The only issue we had was only getting one coffee in the room each morning. There were 3 of us and we were staying in a room with 2 queen beds, so only getting one coffee was a little puzzling. Other than that very minor issue, our stay was very nice, and if we ever need a hotel in this area again, we will definitely consider this Courtyard in our travel plans.
"Weekend family getaway"
11/12/14 angi820 Girard, Ohio
I loved this hotel. I took my boys to celebrate my youngest sons birthday. We wanted a hotel with a pool for Saturday night and we were going to go to Skyzone on Sunday which is 10 minutes up the road. Front desk check in was quick, efficient and Kenya was excellent. The lobby- very modern and quite Impressive. Our rooms- the beds were firm yet comfy. Bathroom was very spacious. It was just a great room. The pool, although on the small side was perfect for my boys. We had it to ourselves so I didn't have to worry about little people getting bumped on accident. Hot tub/whirl pool felt so good. Spacious and clean. The only thing negative was the Bistro. The quality of the food and the cost do not match. It's very expensive for what you get. $51 for 2 burgers (I took 3 bites and gave it away), a turkey BLT (which I was told tasted like rice cakes instead of toast) and a pizza. None of the sandwiches came with sides! Breakfast was really not much better. $25 for 2 breakfasts for the boys. ($7.35 for a med coffee and a plain bagel that I ate before the boys got up). $2.75 for a 20 oz diet dr pepper from the little market area. My only suggest- take drinks/food/snacks with you or travel to a nearby restaurant and grab your meal. I was beyond upset with the quality for what I paid. Do not let the not so good Bistro deter you from staying here though...just plan ahead and be prepared. The rest of the hotel was top notch and very impressive. Well worth the money.
"Nice updates! Suite wasn't worth it."
11/01/14 Eileen K Cincinnati, Ohio
This Courtyard was recently remodeled/updated. The rooms are very pretty as is the lobby. It was very clean. Several restaurants are walking distance and it is right off the highway. The room was very large. The electric outlets were very easy to access which is always important to me. They even had USBs built in to the electric outlets. The room had a nice balcony. The lighting was very dim and I would have been very disappointed if I was trying to work in the room. There was no overhead lighting available and even with all of the lights turned on it was not bright enough. As it was a suite there was a door between the living room and the bathroom/bedroom. There was no door on the bedroom. I think it would have been much better if the door was on the bedroom (or two doors) so that people in the living room could use the bathroom without coming into the bedroom. However, the suite that we stayed in really wasn't worth what it cost and I was really disappointed in the way that it was done. I reserved a suite with a king size bed and a sofa bed. I travel frequently and I am accustomed to sleeper sofas being full or queen size. This sofa bed was a twin size bed! A rollaway bed is not permitted. I was so disappointed! How can you possibly do something so different from the norm and not mention it in the room description?
"Stayed one night on a whim for date night"
10/08/14 betz_711 Sandusky, Ohio
Even though we only live 40 minutes from Westlake we decided we wanted to do a date night at Dave & Buster's and then spend the night close by so we decided on the Courtyard which is right around the corner from D&B. You could actually walk over to D&B if you really wanted to it is that close. Our room was extremely clean and updated with USB ports all over for phone charging. The bed was beyond comfy....so much so we asked for a late checkout the next morning :-) The front desk staff along with the cafe/bar staff were all very helpful and friendly. After D&B's we stopped over to the sports bar next door Hooley's for a few drinks. It ended up being a fun date night and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean room and nice staff. I didnt notice the small fridge in the cabinet...they hide it on you. I had some minor mold in the caulking and a couple of hairs. Everything else was great, I needed a charger for my phone they gave me one

Came here for a wedding, it's updated with lots of USB jacks for charging stuff, breakfast options around hotel are limited so plan accordingly or eat at their cafe. The ceiling in my bathroom needed to be reskimmed as I think there was a leak from an above room in past. Not bad for $120 a night.

My wife and I have stayed here about 5 times over the last 10 years, so we have been satisfied and keep coming back when need to be in the Westlake area. This year, the hotel and rooms were given a major renovation which led to upgrading the overall rating to 5. We loved the comfort and style of our room. We really appreciated the large number of electrical outlets all over the room. Also, new this year is a Hooley's House sports bar right between the street and the hotel. A very nice addition. We also eating at Carrabba's, a nice Italian restaurant adjacent to the hotel. The location can't be beat for getting around Northeast Ohio, being located right on I-90. It;s just a quick trip to downtown Cleveland and eastern points as well as points west of Cleveland, such as Vermilion and Cedar Point.
"Good clean place (except balcony) - needs better front desk help"
09/09/14 Jason W Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Was a good option for business stay. Seemed recently renovated with newer improvements and decor. Outside balcony was ridden with spiders, webs, and bugs. Called to front desk to see if I could turn off light on balcony and the girl had no idea. It was the same girl that was not very sociable or kind as I checked in. Seemed like she was a newer employee but check in process took way too long and inexperienced. At least be friendly and sociable if it's going to take that long. Ala carte breakfast had 5 rotten bananas. Should convert to continental. Should not be able charge for bad fruit. Would def stay here again if front desk help is different and they do a simple hose down of the bug and spider ridden balconies. I think being able to turn the light off outside from inside the room would eliminate that problem. Other than these issues the room was very clean inside and up to date amenities.

Stayed in the Courtyard Westlake 3 night for business. PERFECT. Hotel is clean, modern, and well located near restaurants and the Hwy access. I've stayed in many, many Courtyard properties around the world, and this just may be my favorite so far. After a long flight it's so nice to check-in to a hotel room that is exactly what you are hoping for. I look forward to my next visit.

We used the Westlake Marriot Courtyard & Town Place Suites as the headquarters for our out of town guests attending my son's wedding. We had over 100 guest staying at these two locations. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive to our guests. Everone was extremely happy with all the services at both locations. We also took advandage of the shuttle service that was provided for the wedding reception. This was a big plus and I think 90% of our guests used it. Erica Dzurik and the rest of the staff made this a very enjoyable weekend! We can't thank them enough.
