"Great Location"
This hotel was better than expected. The room was very large, the bed was comfortable, and being right next door to a great restaurant was a plus.. The breakfast in the morning was also a nice addition. Not the typical cereal and toast kind of thing. I requested non-smoking rooms, first night not satisfied was in smoking room. "On my way to Carlsbad Caverns"
I was vacationing in Colorado and decided to take the kids to Carlsbad Caverns on the way home to Texas. Roswell's rates were much more reasonable than that of Carlsbad and is located about 2 hours drive from the caverns. The hotel staff was very friendly and everything was clean and well maintained. This is the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel because we have always been satisfied with the service but were very disappointed with this last stay. It turns out that there is another individual with the same name as my husband who just happened to have made a reservation on the same day as us. This individual cancelled his stay and even though […] they saw two different room reservaions and the individual said he did not book another room, they cancelled our reservation too. Upon our arrival they were able to get us a room but on the second floor. I have a hard time climbing stairs and specifically requested a first floor room. I mentioned this to the clerk and she just blew me off and said that is all that is available. My husband told her if she could call the Comfort Suites which is located down the road and she said we would have to do that ourselves. We got the room because we were tired and there were many events going on in town so finding a room might have been a challenge. The room was very clean and comfortable. The ac worked very well specially during the heat of the summer because we went n august. The staff was rlly friendly. The only downside to it was the pool was freezing and there's no elevators and when ur placed on the top floor with a twp year old its sorta a workout hauling laugauge and ur kid.
