It is a peaceful quarter adjacent to, but largely unaffected by the visitor hubbub. The picturesque Ponte degli Scalzi is a great place for watching the busy canal traffic and there are many fines churches to explore off the beaten tourist track. The Rialto Bridge is only a 10-minute walk or boat ride away.

Very nice hotel, we would have stayed here again on the other end of our trip, but they did not have any vacancies. The staff was helpful, they sent me information about the late midnight buses from the airport, gave us a great restaurant recommendation, and had a wonderful FULL breakfast buffet. Within a few minutes walk of the train and bus station.

This was a great hotel in that it was an easy 10 minute walk from the central train station - Venezia San Lucia. It was a little hard to find at first but then, Venice is a very confusing city to find your way around in. Most of the staff speaks some level of English so communication didn't pose much of a problem. They serve a complimentary breakfast every morning that consisted of scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, cereals, juice, croissant and fresh fruit. Bathroom was nice and clean but room was a little small for a triple. I would definitely stay here again.

The Carlton Capri was an excellent pick - convenient to the train station and the Grand Canal. The staff was very helpful and our room was great (appeared to have been recently remodeled) with a little terrace. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again to the Capri.

No hot water and toilet not working properly. Front desk staff was not at all helpful and argued that the water was off for only an hour, which was not true.

We did not actually stay at Carlton Capri. The hotel was overbooked and we were sent to its sister hotel, Carlton Grand Canal. This was a much better hotel than the one we have booked. The room was small but clean and elegant. Overall, it was comfortable but a bit pricy.

This hotel was very convenient to the train station and the vaporetto. While the room was small, it was very clean and quiet and had a nice modern bathroom. The breakfast, which was included in the nightly rate, had a good variety of items to choose from. I would recommend this hotel to others.

chambre très propre mais syle plutot vieillot. On a le confort minimum. Ils appellent "lit double" deux petits lits collés... Dur dur le romantisme! Le petit dej' est peu varié, on part en ayant encore un peu faim. Nous avons été déçu.
