Room was not overly clean, had excessive highway noise and was overpriced for the room. The breakfast was sparse and not very appealing. I would not recommend or stay at again. You would be far better off traveling a little farther to get to somewhere that was priced right or had better service.

The lobby and breakfast area were clean and well taken care of. The lady working in the breakfast area was great, had it all stocked and tidy. The room needed an update. The carpet was stained and had a dog smell. The towels were fraying on the edges. It was really dated. Time for a remodel!

A pretty basic Comfort Inn, needs some refurbishment. Surprisingly not a lot of noise as it's immediately off the 401 in Port Hope. Met our needs for 1 night. There was a hot breakfast in a very small breakfast area - 5 tables!

This was a great place to stay for my purpose. My son was in a hockey tournament 25 mins down the road. The hotel was accessible to the 401 hwy and close to several places to eat. The room was very clean, quiet and the staff first rate. This combined with a good breakfast to made for a super stay.

The rug in our room was so stained it appeared to be filthy, sheets were of very poor quality nor were they a matching pair, the fitted sheet was way too big so we slept on wrinkled sloppy sheet and the upper sheet was one of por thread count. The bathroom had mo D in the corners around the base of the tub As we entered the hotel we were hit with such […] a powerful scent which said the hotel was disguising poor air quality, the elevator stunk like a skunk resided in it and floor number three sme T like there had been an electrical fire. We were discussed but had already given our Visa number over the phone as we arrived in PH from BC that day and were very tired. The hotel was suchoor quality that I was so surprised because we always use Comforrt Inn in our travels. I have sincerely considered contacting the Ontario Public Health. I have notified friends and family in the area to never recommended it to anyone. Read more

When we arrived at 9pm, it was extremely hot in the room. The airconditionning in individual in each room so went you put it on it is noisy. We had to leave the airco al night long (with noise). I didn't like that and if I stay there again I'll ask for the room in the back. The shower didn't work well. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to us while travellin by bicycle... They allow us to take the bike into our room which is a great piece of mind for us with expensive bikes. I think this is a feature that all hotels need to implement as more and more people are indeed doing travels / vacations by bike. We saw many couples on the road and staying […] at hotels, so do encourage hotesl to be accommodating with that. We were very careful to not dirty the room/carpet, clean the wheels before entering the room etc, so there is no reason why not to allow it. As long as people are careful, everyone will be happy and hotels will get more cyclings to stay at their location. Read more

The first day we stayed in room, until 12 noon and the room wasn't cleaned, beds maid or vacumned. The rugs needed cleaning, which I wondered how clean the hotel was keeped.

We really enjoyed our stay...this was a romantic get away with my lover and eventhough I requested a king bed, to my surprise, it was a suite! And on top of that, it had a jaccuzi and a microwave! We were able to create a very romantic get away!

The one thing that stands out in my mind is the layout of the bathroom in conjunction of the room. I feel that the opening between the bathtub to the room is not necessary and one cannot contain the odour from the bathroom . The layout is a bit much and if we use the hotel again I will ask for a different room.

It's the only hotel in in Port Hope so I guess they don't have to work too hard. We paid more for the second night (a Tues) for no apparent reason.The hotel was practically empty the first night yet we weren't allowed a choice of room ( I had requested a ground floor) because they were understaffed due to christmas and didn't bother to clean any of […] the rooms. The whole 3rd floor was freezing! The room we had was basically okay but the heating system smelled when we turned it on. Bathroom could use some work- peeling paint on the ceiling, caulking hanging, shower knob missing. The best part of the stay was the convenient location and the breakfast- loved the waffle maker. En route to Montreal with friends from Michigan, we picked the half way point. Fortune smiled. Through Hotels.com we booked a fine room with extraordinary personal service. Reception (and now I) recommended a very good place to eat nearby, the Restaurant by the Rail. This Inn offers reasonable prices. Full breakfast. Superior food. Friendly people.

This was the second time that we stayed at this motel. First stay, no issues. Second stay was pleasant enough, but there was a pet odour in the room that was quite noticeable. Staff was pleasant, and free breakfast was ok.

It wiped away my fatigue like a SHAMWOW, And made my legs feel like the goddess of rome whose name rhymes with jupiter. It was pretty relaxing. Although, I might be slightly biased, based on the fact i biked THREE HUNDRED KILOMETER until i reached there, so i was half unconscious, the other half is dreaming. So it's pretty cool. :)

It was easy to access the 401 on and off, room & food was ok. It was nice to see that was gas, tim hortons, and harveys right there too. It was just a double charge of the room that was a hassle to clear up with the hotel, but the staff at hotel.com took care of the problem in a matter of minutes. Many parents of Trinity College School children, such as myself, book their rooms at the Comfort Inn. Wi-Fi always works well. Satisfactory complimentary breakfast. Conveniently located at the highway exit. Very courteous staff... all in all, a pleasant stay every time.
