"Decent room for the money"

We had a 1 bedroom suite, which was very spacious. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We didn't pay a lot for the room, so we didn't expect much. It was close to the freeway, and yet very quiet in the room. There was free breakfast every morning with fresh waffles, which were very tasty. The furnishings in the living room area were not of the greatest quality, but overall we were satisfied with the room.

The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean. The pool area and game area were clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast was good in general and the waffles were quite good. The hotel is very close to the highway, but noise was not an issue. The hotel is somewhat isolated, so you will need to drive to get food or other services.

We recently stayed at the Comfort Suites in Portage. We found our room to be larger than expected and very clean. Their continental breakfast was good and seemed to have something so satisfy everyone in our family. The only negative that we had was the staff at the front desk was not very friendly. I would stay there again if we were to go back.

The rooms are large and sleep up to six comfortably at a reasonable rate. Good breakfast is a plus too.

We arrived too early, and wanted to keep driving for a while, but hotel personnel absolutely refused to see if we could transfer reservation to another hotel -- just said they couldn't do it and would charge for the room if we left. Hotel was overrun with a bus tour eating breakfast in the morning. Restaurants in the area were unsatisfactory. The room was adequate, but I would never consider stopping there again

"Boots and dirty towels left in room!!"

It was not very comforting to find a pair of boots behind a chair and dirty towels hanging on the back side of the bathroom door, apparently left from the previous guests. You wonder how thorough their cleaning service is when you find stuff like this!!

This hotel went beyond our expectations. The hotel was very clean and kept that way. Our room was very spacious for our family of five. The added comfort of a sleeper soafer was wonderful. Pool was very big and well maintained. Even at busy times, it did not seem crowded. Breakfast was your typical spread. We did not have any negative experiences and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed in the Comfort Suites with my wife and two boys (ages 3 and 6) and we all loved it. The room (two queen beds plus a sofa bed) was clean, quiet and big enough for four people. The hotel was very convenient (location, size of the parking lot, distance to rooms, etc.), which made it very kid friendly. The pool was great too, as was the free breakfast buffet. In general, the hotel felt like a newer property and was well maintained. I would definitely stay there again if I needed an affordable place off the highway.

"Close to skiing, but a bad pool"

Stayed at the hotel mainly as a base for skiing at Cascade. It was nice and close. Only problem with the hotel was the amount of chlorine in the pool area. So much chlorine in the air it leached into the lobby and breakfast areas, and was a huge irrtant to eyes and lungs for the few minutes we could stand being in the pool area. Would have loved to hottub and rest the muscles after a hard day of skiing, but was not able to enjoy for all the chlorine present.

This hotel is just a hop off the freeway and down the road from the WI Dells. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean. I would stay again if I were in the area.

The hotel was relatively clean and neat but the attendants at the front desk were about as personal as a rock. Upon arriving the receptionist did not even acknowledge me until I said something to her....it was the same when we checked out.

Hotel is beautifull,and is very pleasant to stay at,second time here,this time though,the room was not well stocked or cleaned very well,gave kind of a ick feeling to sleep in beds, and stay in room,blankets were stained,and pillows that were suppose to be clean, had hard dryed up something on it,and didn't look vacumed very well,didn't say anything,they were very busy,and didn't want to make the hotel look bad,considering we stayed here before and had no problems with anything that time,will definetly stay here again,but will say something next time if problems,no matter how busy they are.

The hotel room was spacious, I have 3 children and it was great everyone could move around without pushing. The entire hotel was clean.
