Although our river view room was facing the parking lot, it has a nice view on the side where you can see the Chicago Tribune, the American Gothic, etc from far away. Before sunrise, you can see the reflection of the street lights in the river. It's beautiful. I like the hotel overall. It's pretty comfortable and the El train is close to the hotel.

the room was very nice and clean. there is an upcharge on the internet and the TV was really bad with no HDTV. We asked about a vegitarian resturant and were disappointed. We asked about a night club and were very disappointed. Don't drink the water in the room as the charge is $5.00. Great location, location, location.

I had arrived early and thought I had to wait until 3pm to check in, but no, someone called me an hour later to let me know my room was ready 3 hours early! The view was great and the room spacious. Very quiet floor. Would stay here again.

Most things that we wanted to go to were within walking distance. The only down side was the expensive parking but that's fairly typical of downtown Chicago. I was quoted considerably less for overnight parking when I asked on the phone versus what we were charged though.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel. Our daughter commented on how wonderful it smelt every time we entered / moved around the hotel. The swimming pool was small and full of children when we tried to use it. There is a large steam room and a jacussi [we found the water in it too hot to use]. The gym was well equipped and supplied towels - bring a water bottle if you want to exercise - the hotel provide water but tiny paper cups which is frustrating if you're thirsty. Try the complimentary drink at the entrance to the leisure suite - it looks disgusting but tastes wonderful! There is a coffee shop on site. The breakfast menu was expensive but there are lots of places to eat nearby.

Our room was lovely with an excellent river view. The bed was incredibly comfortable- loved it. Our bathroom was very nice although the tub had just enough room for one of us at a time. The hotel service was quite accomidating. When we arrived we needed batteries but the stores were closed. So they made sure we got some for free within the first hour of our stay! Some improvementes needed would be temperature control in the rooms. Regardless how high we turned up the heat, the reading remained at 72 degrees, but it never felt like 72. We were chilly throughout the visit. Another thing that bothered my husband and I was the minimal accomidations we received for the price. It would be nice to have a free movie or two ($15 each), free breakfast ($16 just for pancakes) or something additional other than simply the room.
