If you like beds that are hard as plywood, carpets that are worn and stained, and a night clerk that is arrogantly rude, then this is the place to stay. The lobby looks new and clean, the bathrooms look clean, but the room is musty, carpet needs to be replaced and the mattress is like laying on a piece of plywood. The night clerk comes across like she does not like her job.

we arrived 5 till 3 and was told they are having problems with housekeeping we had to wait till 320. we were on a time limit for us so needless to say we were not happy about that plus we were in a smoking room and called front desk for an ashtray and finally had to flag down a lady down the hall to get one. Also the shower was dirty floors dirty and every vent was covered in dirt and dust

Came down for Spring Training and Chandler was a good spot to visit the many baseball sites in the area. The hotel was more than just a room, could have been a time share facility if it were cleaned up a bit. The carpets in the hallways were filthy and needed a good cleaning. Rooms, although more than adequate, were drab. A little brightness would have helped in color combination or decor. Never had a meal at the facility as breakfast was over at 9 a.m. and I have to admit being a bit slower. Maybe a cut-off time of 10, start serving at 7, would be much more convenient. However, ext door U.S. Egg provided a very good breakfast for reasonable cost. Although not the best stay one could look forward to, I'd probably stay there again for the spring training adventure. You have to be a baseball nut and just want to see games, who plays or who wins be damned, just enjoy the game. Chandler is centrally located to most parks and easy to get to during rush hour traffic, if you stay off the freeways.

This is a great place to stay. We a 2 king room. The king beds were in separate bedrooms which was perfect. Had a small kitchen w/ a full refrig. Small living room, but only 1 bathroom. It was like a small apartment. Condition was great since we were in a recently renovated room. Clean and safe area. Would recommend highly. Don't let the other bad reviews scare you away.

I rarely give reviews but I felt it was necessary on this hotel. It was by far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. I was met at the desk by a sloppily dressed young man that processed me without much of a welcome. As soon as I entered the building, I could smell that I was in trouble. Turns out after waiting for 2 hours for the room to cool down, the air condition was broken. The young man at the desk informed me that their maintenance (singular!) was in the hospital and that he was full up. After swearing under his breath and lots of keystrokes, he finally got us into a handicap room. At least the A/C worked. The room stunk. Towels were like sandpaper, the Kleenex was like paper towel. There was mold around the handicap bars in the shower. I could go on and on. Overall, if I hadn't already paid in full through Hotels.com, I would have bailed. I almost did anyway.

We were there for 3 nights for Spring Training. The room was large and it was nice to have a separate bedroom area. Well furnished. I was actually pretty happy. The neighborhood was close to grocery stores (Walmart Neighborhood) and LOTS of restaurants and a STARBUCKS across the street. Good stuff.

We stayed at the hotel while visiting the Phoenix area for a wedding and to attend Cactus League baseball games. The room was comfortable and the staff was very helpful. We had a problem with our door lock and a hotel maintenance person took care of the issue right away. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

setup of room was great, roomy and comfortable. Room key didn't work all the time, had to keep trying even had to enter through another door. Exercise room had no cups for water, limited equipment and electronic stats wasn't functioning properly.

Since there were four of us staying in the room and we used the hide-a-bed, we should have had four towels each day. I had to ask once in the afternoon when we first arrived to get two extras. The next day we had two towels again, but we returned too late to ask. This is a simple thing, but should be obvious.

Hotel was okay. Had 2 bedroom king suite with fold out bed. Pleasant. Did the job we needed. Breakfast everyday was okay. Some variety to the buffet but pretty similar each day. Only thing we missed was some peanut butter and mini sweet rolls. Couch cushion was ripped. Stingy with towels. Breakfast staff very pleasant and thorough. Front desk not so much.

The staff was very accommodating. We had early tee times for golf and they let us in to the breakfast area a few minutes early to help us make sure we got to the course in time. The breakfast was very delicious. The beds were comfortable and the entire stay was very enjoyable. By the way, the golf was fantastic!

The hotel was surprisingly nice. We did not expect the full kitchen and two rooms. The bedroom was nice but the hide a bed was not very comfortable to sit on. This is a nice location and price when the Casino is in winter visitor pricing. Short cab ride if your going to a concert.

The room felt so unclean. The bath towels were very small and felt like sandpaper. They only stocked it with 2. The comforter/duvet cover was stained in several places (they had a decorative thing laying over the stains to hide them.) We only had 2 (very lumpy and flat) pillows for each bed. The sofa bed was all tweaked. It was nice having a full size refrigerator, and the location was in a great spot for us, that's about it though.

The TV in the den did not turn on and the remote was missing. I called the front desk to request another room and I was told I would hear back within 30 minutes. I did not hear back from anyone. Having no TV was not a deal breaker, but I was disappointed in the level of customer service by the front desk.

The hotel stay was not bad but it wasn't great. The hotel did allow for an extremely early check in which was very helpful but the hotel conditions were less than satisfactory. The room was old and things were falling apart. We even found a small bug in the pullout. The breakfast was really good and the customer service was also pretty good. I would recommend for a quick cheap stop but nothing longer than a day or two.

The facilities are showing their age. There is virtually no sound insulation between the floors or the rooms and hallway. Location was convenient, off several freeways. Breakfast was filling and waffles were a plus. Linens were clean but sofa bed very squeaky and bedding very old, worn and full of holes. Toilet leaked and floor was constantly wet. Nice to have two bedrooms and full refrigerator.

We stayed just one night. The hotel had a funky smell to it we think it was the carpet. The carpet was really dirty. The room a few doors down had trash laying in the hall outside of the door that was there when we checked in and the next day when we checked out. No one picked it up. The refrigerator made a racket all night and the kitchen sink didn't have water to it. The front desk staff was nice but we won't stay here again because of the lack of cleanliness.

We liked that the suite had a door between the bedroom & the rest of the suite. Don't bother bringing a loofa because the towels are so rough, you will be exfoliated by them alone. The hallway carpets were filthy. You could see daylight around our entire door, so you could hear every person who walked by. When I complained about the refrigerator being very noisy (waking us up all night), I was told that they needed to get that looked at for the next guest!! You had to access the breakfast buffet by taking an unlit path from your building to a separate building. Since we had to leave early each day, it was very dark. Although the breakfast was usually good, most of the food was cold when it should have been piping hot. Since the front desk was in a separate building, except to make a complaint when our keys didn't work one night, there was no contact with hotel personnel. They put a "pending charge" on our credit card for "incidentals", which is still on there 3 days after checkout! We wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Definitely not a 3 star!!! Bathroom was disgusting, they should throw away those stained, stinky, hard towels! Carpet is gross. My family and I travel a lot, this hotel is by far worst than 1 or 2 star hotels. The housekeeper came to service the room and we were getting ready to leave so she said she'd be back in an hour, she didn't! We had to go to the office to get "clean" towels and toilet paper. Breakfast is lame too. Seriously look elsewhere! 1st and last time staying at a Hawthorn!
