My two sons (ages 6 & 8) and I, enjoyed our stay very much! The staff was extremely polite and courteous. They gave us a room which was next to the playground and pool area. The pictures on line- look good. However, when we arrived and checked in. You can see the lodging is old and needs repair. Apparently at one time it was a RCI time share and now I believe they are also montly renting of the units. Our unit the curtains were falling off the rod, curtains would not shut properly unless a chair was placed next to them […] to hold them in place. The TV's did not work and nothing could be done until Monday. We were checking out on Sunday. When our room was cleaned one bed was not made, no clean towels, it was like they were interrupted and left. There were dead cockroaches on the floors. We attempted to go to the Hot tub, The one nearest the office was broke, We walked down to the 2nd one and it was dirty - to the point you could not see the bottom or the stairs. This lodging was extremely ran down, needs work. Our unit was not in good condition and I am extremly surprised that it has the rating it does. The rooms in this motel reminded us of staying in a cabin. Wooden front porch. Bedroom and separate sitting room. That part of it was quaint. The room we stayed in near the back of the complex needed some maintenance work. There was a gap under the door where weather stripping was missing that made me worry about snakes coming into the room during the […] night.
