For the money, this was a good choice for me. The rooms are large and clean. Access to Manhattan is fairly quick and very inexpensive via NJ Transit bus to and from the Port Authority Bus Station. There are several restaurants nearby for chow. The only problem I had was a mix-up where they put me in a room at check-in that was already occupied by another person. Some sort of problem with their computer system. But the problem was quickly fixed. The wireless internet is kind of slow.

We (me and my wife) picked this hotel mainly because it was one of the cheaper priced hotels in the area. We wanted to visit NYC but did not want to spend the money to stay in NYC. We also wanted a safe place to stay. This hotel was recomended by a coworkers' husband who is a bus driver. What is so wanderful about this hotel was that there is a bus stop right outside of the front door of the hotel. It costed us $3.25 each one way to get to NYC. The bus would drop us off at the Port of Authourity which is about one block from Times Square. This was a lot cheaper and less stressful than paying $8.00 one way to get to NYC through the Lincoln Tunnel and then trying to find a place to park and paying upwards of $20.00 or more just to park for the day. Thankfully this hotel offers free parking. The only problem I would have with this hotel is the parking. They only have like 10 spaces for parking in front of the hotel. If you get there early you should be able to park right there otherwise you will have to go next door to the parking garage to find a parking space. This hotel is very clean and the continental breakfast is very good and large. They have a large selection of goodies to eat. If we ever go back to NYC again we will definately stay here.

The hotel itself was very nice. I was not expecting the room (or the TV)to be as big as it was (I stayed in a standard room with two double beds, and a couch was included). Not a wide selection of TV channels, but I don't stay in a hotel to watch the TV. The continental breakfast was adequate, and the room service food was good (service was fast and courteous). There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel that goes to the port authority bus terminal in NYC(as of 09/06/09 for $6.30/2 round trips). It was convenient, but was packed for most of my stay (so plan to run a little behind the first time you use it, and plan accordingly on subsequent trips to the city). The surrounding area is a business complex with lots of restaurants, and a movie theater. My only complaint is that the A/C made a weird noise when it shut off, but that is probably a room specific issue, and was easy to get used to. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Secaucus is ideal to stay. Felt so safe there and it is clean. Bus to the city is across the street. Easy, easy to the heart of the city. Bus is about 7.50 per person round trip. But parking in the city is expensive and a nightmare. Hotel was clean, beautiful and free internet. Staff was the most amazing I had ever had. So helpful and friendly and helped to know where to go. Get up early for breakfast though, they run out quickly. Nothing fancy, but good.

I have stayed at two other Hyatt locations (Pittsburgh and Chicago) prior to my stay at this one. I seen absolutely no change in the level and quality of service, and hospitality. The room was clean and the break fast was also nice. I was really surprised to know that the hotel kitchen closes at 11:00 PM. Their advertisement, in contrast, suggested that the guests could get something to eat even if it is 2:00 AM in the morning. This wasn't a big concern though since the hotel staff provided a menu card for a nearby restaurant so we could order food from outside. However, overall we liked the hotel. -Prasad

The room in the hotel was clean and very new like, NICE TV, and well decorated. If you want to grab the breakfeast get up early. The line was pretty big on my stay. Overall I was satisfied with the hotel, however my room (non-smoking) was either last used by a smoker, was once a smoking room, or the filters needed to be changed. By the next morning, my allergies were in full swing, making it hard to breathe until I was outside again. Parking on the third floor of the garage with no elevator is a pain to go up and down the stairs with suitcases. It would have been nice if the hotel had parking on the 2nd level where there is a walkway into the hotel. Free wi-fi is a plus.

The only downside though was the complimentary breakfast was very limited in selections and they were always the same everyday.

The hotel lounge loses points as it's very small with only the basics. The picture I saw on the website is not the same lounge. Parking also left something to be desired but any parking in NJ is good. The self check-in kiosk is a great idea but it didn't work for me. I've mentioned the not-so-good stuff but this is a top notch hotel and worth ever dime for the room and its location.

This was our Diva weekend in NY and my second stay. Our 1st stay was back in the fall to go to the Christmas Rockettes show. The service and the people are just great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Do get up early for the bagels form Bagels Plus. There is so much to see and do in the area around the hotel as well. We ate at the Stonefish Grill which has good seafood and drinks. The hotel is holding up well after renovations. They are still working on the parking deck but no real problem there. We were only 15 mins from Canal Street and 20 to downtown Manhattan. The beds in this hotel are super comfortable. the room was quite big enough for the 5 of us to sleep comfortably. Check out the area around it for outlet shopping too. Enjoy!

Stayed here when it used to be an AmeriSuites. Now the price is doubled, the room is better & more comfortable but other amenities have gone downhill. Breakfast was fair, but there was no place to sit. Airline personel now stay here & they sit at the tables in the AM waiting for their ride back. You used to be able to park across from the hotel walkway, that is now reserved for those who I assume pay for parking & you are now limited to the top level on the parking deck. Bottom line, it's clean & comfortable but there are others just as good in the area for half the price.
