My husband and I loved staying at the Stoneleigh. We wanted a place that was not your typical business hotel, and it met our expectations! We would definitely recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful older building, wonderfully restored to every modern need.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Surprised that there was no swimming pool. I automatically expected our suite to be cleaned by housekeeping - especially since the housekeeping staff notice when we went out in the morning @ 9:30 am.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was the perfect place for my mom and I to come on a mini vacation. It has a great atmosphere morning noon and night! Wonderful place. We hope to return!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice location to nearby restaurants/bars"
We had a room on front street side and the outside noise level was loud and kept us awake till 2:00am. I felt the towels & robe were tired looking. I have stayed in better hotels for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Guests were coming back to their rooms at 2 am drunk and very loud in the hallways.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"AC wasn't working well"
I had a room where my AC didn't work well. It would shut off at random times and would never get to as cold as I wanted the room which is frustrating during the summer. I couldn't even stay in my room during the day because it the AC just wouldn't cool it off.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice place"
In general this is a great place to stay. It's in an upscale area, near lots of restaurants and bars. But I must say that your only parking option is valet parking, and it cost 27 dollars per day. That is excessive. This is an expensive hotel, and to be charged that much with no options to leave the car elsewhere is abusive. Also, on Sunday morning […] our service with the buffet breakfast was terrible. You cannot serve your own coffee or juice, or get silverware. Our food was cold before finally looking for our server to remind her of our existence. The 4 tables on the outdoor terrace for breakfast were never cleaned and cleared in al the time we sat theree for breakfast. Very disappointing... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love love love!"
Great hotel, great location! Beautiful, spacious room. Walking distance to fun bars and restaurants. Anywhere we wanted to go that we couldn't walk was only a $10 cab ride away. Valet was incredibly polite and helpful. Front desk and bar staff were polite, professional and welcoming. The price of this hotel compared to others in the area have made this […] my go to hotel any time I stay uptown Dallas. I do wish they had some form of a continental/complimentary breakfast, even if it was only coffee and pastries. A little something before heading to brunch, or to tide us over until lunch would've been appreciated as opposed to the somewhat pricey breakfast menu offered through room service. That's probably just the cheapskate in me coming out. If the worst thing about this hotel is that I have to pay for breakfast, then I truly have no complaints. It's not the ZaZa or the Ritz, but we loved it! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Special occasion, special attention"
We were thrilled when we checked in to find out we were upgraded because we told hotel corporate we were celebrating our first big anniversary. They corresponded three times with us to make sure we were happy. It was a terrific room, hotel, and stay. Historic and the area was full of character and personality. We WILL be back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"First night of honeymoon"
Excited to find such a reasonable price and such a lovely place. I've paid far more for much less. We were greeted nicely and assisted with our bags to a lovely room with sitting area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel....great location"
We really like older hotels that have been modernized but still retain their character. They've done a nice job updating the Stoneleigh, while preserving the integrity of the original hotel. Our room was spacious & clean. The lobby bar area is also bright & , & clean with a contemporary feel. The hotel has a great location...close to the Arts district...close […] to the Katy Trail...close to several high-end and upscale casual restaurants. We also had breakfast which was delicious, despite the fact that service was a bit unorganized and slow. All in all, a positive experience, we'd go back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great Dallas hotel with a few flaws"
I usually stay at a different hotel in Dallas, but the Stoneleigh was recommended by a close friend. I found the hotel easy to access and was impressed with the staff and the rooms: large, modern, up-to-date and well maintained. I was impressed with the size of the bathrooms (although the caulking around the wonderful tub was looking a little worn and […] cracked) and the well appointed workout facilities. (A note: there was no cleaning solution to wash down equipment, which was covered in sweat from prior users.) Upon going to bed, I found like another reviewer that the A/C was very loud just outside my room (719) and made it impossible to sleep. The front desk was able to accommodate my request for a new room the next day after only getting a few hours of interrupted sleep. When I went to the new room (708?) I found the noise even worse, this time inside the room. The front desk staff seemed to be surprised by the report, but I found later that the valet staff had heard similar complaints from other guests. I was finally moved to a room with reduced noise (615) and seems that most similar rooms are away from elevators, machinery and ice machines. The valets, room attendants and waitstaff are excellent: in particular, the young lady who checked me in my first evening was wonderful. If the hotel fixes the ac issue, I would certainly stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Just for fun...."
Lovely property. Cordial and courteous staff who was helpful when called upon. Only one suggestion....while our bed was very comfortable, there was no top sheet--only the sheet lined comforter. It was hot to sleep under even with the AC on.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Let Meridian: one night stay."
All the staff were very nice. We had a very good breakfast. The hotel was pretty inside and clean. I know it is in the last stages of renovation (an awning was missing at the valet entrance) but everything looks nice. We had a room that was for the disabled--nice shower and closet! Very comfortable bed. My main complaint was the a /c. The vent was above […] the tv and blew right on the bed. We were either too cold or too hot all night. We never could regulate it right. "Restaurants within walking distance"
The hotel is beautiful and located within one mile of many things to do and see. We did use our rental car and found a beautiful outdoor shopping area with the Magnolia Theatre and lots of restaurants. Only about a mile and a half away, but not that easy to maneuver on foot, so a car is necessary. Loved the hotel and would stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel but not so friendly staff"
This is a beautiful hotel, however, when arriving in our room, the A/C made a loud noise so I called the front desk and asked for another corner room. I was told there was only one available on the 2nd floor, however, we were on the 8th. I was told if I wanted to move, I needed to tell them immediately. We stayed in the room and purchased earplugs. […] They sent up a workman who was the nicest person in the hotel. He made it a little better. It was frustrating upon telling another worker about it and they said, we have several empty corner rooms. Also, not a single employ, other than the individual that parked our car spoke to us and welcomed us. I have never been in a hotel that the bellmann and other valets did not say a word. The restaurant staff was very nice while serving us and the food was delicious. If you want a beautiful hotel and a great room, except 801, this is the place, however, don't expect the personalized service of a 4+ star hotel. By the way, I have reviewed nearly 100 stays at hotells.com and this is the first with even one negative comment. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Response by Le Méridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh Dear Guest, Thank you for the great review of our hotel! I am pleased to hear you enjoyed our breakfast! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon. Sincerely, Emma S Guest Relations Manager
Great stay at Le Meridian. Great staff. Attentive, polite and professional. Rooms are very nice and the decor and style is very upscale. Good food, nice outdoor space for dining, great location and reasonably priced. I have to mention though that the valet parking attendant drove my car with my bike on a bike rack on top into the parking garage as a […] result totaling my bike and damaged the top of my vehicle. The previous 2 days of our stay the valets parked it outside of the garage until Saturday night when I felt that I didn't need to remind them once again that the garage is 8'2" as it says in the LARGE LETTERS on the pipe hanging from chains at the entrance of the garage. I figured, "hey, they've got this, they're pros, they basically have one basic job to do to just park my car, be safe with it and bring it back like I left it.I shouldn't have to remind them AGAIN. Heck, I even have a bright orange sticky note attached to the dash that says BIKE UP! with an arrow pointed up. I understand now that parking is not run by the hotel and is operated by another company. But they do indirectly represent the hotel. The valet attendants are the first person and last person you see at your stay. The hotel should demand that the parking company train their employees better. For example: Tall things don't fit in short things. The stay at the Le Meridian was excellent. It's this incident that was a real bummer that I'm going to have to be dealing with for awhile. The breakfast was by far THE best I've ever had. I didn't like the fact that they took an extra $100 out of my account for incidentals. They take $100 & then put it back 2-3 days later. Not nice. The hotel room was ok. I was expecting something nicer. They said that since I signed up for a hotel members card that they were going to upgrade me to a suite. […] The room I stayed in didn't look like a suite. Non the less the room was not bad & the hotel is located in an area where there are lots of restraunts, places to shop, & dance. Response by Le Méridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh Dear Christina, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. As for the incidental charges, We do make our guests aware upon booking that you will need to present a card at check in to cover incidentals, unfortunately more properties than not will do this. I Apologize this was not communicated to you upon booking and I hope it did not cause you too much inconvenience. Again I can only give you my sincerest apologies that your suite did not meet your expectations. On a more positive note, I am glad you enjoyed your breakfast and found our location convenient for everything Dallas has to offer. Sincerely, Emma S Guest Relations Manager
My wife and I ultimately enjoyed our stayed and thought the overall impression and ambiance was first rate. The one issue was based around one of the strengthns of the ambiance was the incredible amount of books on art. However according the security staff "they are not meant to be read or handled". Odd and awkard interaction with the gigantic security […] person who informed my wife of this fact. My wife and her degree in literature/fine art were definetly offended. Please relax this "policy" so your guests can get more than a superficial experience. Beyond that, everything was as is it should be in a boutique style hotel. "Beautiful, but not wonderful"
Everything about the Le Meridian Dallas at Stoneleigh was beautiful. The rooms really great. Unfortunately, there were 4 or 5 little things that detracted from the experience. None of them worth complaining about individually but grouped together made the stay less than it should have beenGenuine Expedia guest review

$21 for one day of internet service?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed here for a business trip and heard from the locals that I met with that this was a newly renovated hotel. Converted from an old building - I didn't get the history, but they did a fabulous job of keep the vintage appeal with modern comfort. The rooms and bathrooms were much bigger than I'm used to, bed very comfortable, nice bar, walk in closet?? […] Staff super nice. Sure beats staying in a huge chain hotel. Would stay here gain in a heartbeat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nothing special for a "boutique hotel""
I wasn't impressed by the Spa facilities which did not have a hot tub on the men's side. Bar area was ok. Room was nice and clean. Great view if you like seeing other high rise buildings across the street and a bunch of concrete pavement. Probably the best part of the entire hotel was the Easter Brunch! Excellent food!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our room. It was big enough for three people over 6 feet tall. Our daughter prefers to put the. Sofa bed mattress on the floor and there. Was still plenty of room to walk around it. Bathroom was awesome with a deep soaker tub. Perfect for after four matches in a day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay was perfect. Matthew at the front desk was delightful and super helpful. The spa was small but perfectly maintained and staff was delightful. The downstairs bar was lovely, and the food was good. We highly recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
loved the uniqueness of the decor- different from the other common hotel chains. liked the price for the night- drinks expensive and not enough waiters for late nite after concert - will stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A comfortable stay in Dallas"
The hotel is very clean, and the superior rooms large. There is a lot to do in the area. Our breakfast took 30 minutes to get service on a Tuesday morning. it was very difficult. They said there were slammed. Too bad for us. The food wasn't so great. Discounting the eating experience, we would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
