Nothing special and it cost almost as much as the Marriott Circular Quay where we spent most of our holiday. We only came here for the last night to be closer to the airport. Very disappointing they wanted to charge $5 for 30 min Wifi. Even the 5 star Marriott downtown didn't charge us for Wifi use. We chose not to pay for Hol Inn Wifi on principle […] and walked a couple blocks to a cafe with free Wifi. We also noticed that employees at the front desk were distracted when attending to customers - mostly with each other - causing delays. Our stay there was short and it was Ok, but certainly nothing special. Also, the free shuttle to the airport advertised on the website cost us $12 each way. Thanks for asking. Read more

First impressions are important, so I booked the highest rated Sydney airport hotel that Expedia listed. I was shocked when the hotel shuttle cost anything, let alone $25 each way, to take me about 400 yards. And frankly the shuttle bus was barely road worthy. Also, charging $25+ for internet service in a 4 and a half star hotel is very disappointing […] in an airport hotel. And the restaurant food was below average as well. Found the hotel easily, although none of the Hotels were well marked on roads leading into the Airport. The outside is impressive and so was the foyer; however the corridors on the 4th floor were dim and carpet drab and stained. The walls were also damaged. Overall it was clean and confortable. Good bathroom, comfortable beds, ideal for a one night stay in between flights - very convenient to Mascot Airport. Carpet in room needs repair/ replacing and we did not get our wakeup call. Check in was ho hum, check out was friendly. Room service was good.

Interior of hotel is a bit jaded, but clean. However poor personal service - operator did not call back twice with info requested, room service food was incompletely delivered. Appears to be very short staffed. Too close from airport for taxis, and the shuttle pick up was a long wait and the shuttle cabin was dirty. Not a great experience.

I never write reviews but we weren't expecting much from an airport hotel. And the staff made this a truly pleasant stay. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The lobby is gorgeous and the restaurant and bar just lovely. Would have hung out there more if it wasn't such a fly by visit. Highly recommend!

Restaurant service was dreadful. Virtually no service at all and tried to put 4 of us on a small table for 2. We tried to book 3 times during the day - the phone was unanswered each time. Then was told by reception that there was no need to book. Turned up, were asked if we booked - no, were told we didn't need to - consequently tried to squeeze us […] on to a tiny table. We complained and a new table was set up. Were pretty much ignored most of the night. My meal came out 15 mins after everyone else's and only after we complained. Had to go over to counter to ask if we could order dessert. We have dined here before, and it was wonderful, that was another reason why we stayed at the Holiday Inn. Kids running around screaming, no one telling them to tone it down - worse than McDonalds! Terrible dining experience this time around !!! Read more

If you are looking for an overnight stay close to the airport, this does the job. I had discarded the cheapest options as too depressing, and a couple of mid-range hotels that were a better deal, hoping to find something a bit better. On that point I was disappointed and wish I had saved the 50 or so AUD difference. Hotel badly needs a refurbishment, […] and crowd at the bar (only spot where you get 20 mins free wifi) was iffy. A drunken scuffle started and was taken upstairs... to my floor, unfortunately (ended after about 30 mins). Hotel staff helpful and pleasant - they're a notch above the hotel itself. The location is good, if proximity to the Airport is needed. The taxi fee to the hotel is approximately A$15. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms well appointed and a good size. However, the wireless fee is high (A$27.50). The two restaurants are good and offer decent variety. Overall, this is a fair value.

The rooms were dated despite the recent makeover. Carpets were rather dirty. The shuttle to Airport was $6 per person so for four of us it was cheaper to get a taxi. For its proximity to the airport a reasonable place.

Well presented hotel in the foyer etc, but may need new carpet in the passage ways and bedrooms. New bathrooms in place but with the new carpet this hotel would be of a very high standard. We arrived back from oversea after a month staying at some iconic hotels. We didnt expect the same experience as staying at the Savoy or the Plaza In New York, just that the basics be covered. Immediately noticeable was that there was no one available to take four pieces of luggage to the room.
