Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise - Gold Coast

Hubby and I were on the Gold Coast for 5 days, we stayed at Vibe, Raddison and the Crowne Plaza. We moved around due to rates and some trips so kept ending up back on the coast. Our last night was at the Crowne Plaza and we wished all of our nights were there. The location is a bit out of the heart of Surfers which is a good thing and the staff were very very helpful. Our room even had a view of the ocean from the bed and we didn't pay for an upgrade or anything. Friendly desk staff. $30 AUD for breakfast buffet, decent spread but over priced. You have to pay for wi-fi which is crap and is unheard of in any US hotel stay. Nice views, decent nightly rate.

Crowne Plaza Surfers paradise has become my fave place to stay when i'm on the coast. Close to everything but far enough away to be unaffected by too much noise. rooms always very comfy and lots of space. bathrooms big and great views from all angles.

The hotel has good location, and a 10 mintues walk to the beach. It is clean and parking is free too. The room is relatively small.

The staff at Crowne were all excellent. The view was amazing. The beach was so close and clean and not too busy. The kids loved the room, the pool and they didn't want to go home. We will be back real soon!!

The hotel comes across very impersonal and everyone in robot mode, our rooms where clean but the smell as we stepped out of the 5th floor lift was awful, sour milk smell. The food in the revolving restaurant was excellent

Simply, it was fantastic. From check in, to check out, everything was virtually faultless. Even arriving to find I had a different room type than requested, which was not the fault of the hotel, was fixed, with a free upgrade, immediately. I will definitely be staying there again. :-D

We had 20th-floor double bed room. So clean, neat, comfort for our family. wonderful ocean view from the balcony. walking distance to Broad Beach but not to Surfers Paradise. We hired a car from the airport and drove to all Theme Parks and beaches. Hiring a car costs about $25-29 per day only. I thought I was getting a queen bed for my wife and I ! Instead there were two narrow double beds! Other than this minor issue we were very satisfied with the hotel. In no fault of the hotel, the on-going road construction is a real problem and hopefully it would all be completed when we return for another stay! Everything about our stay at the Crowne Plaza was nothing short of amazing. Only downside is that its just a little too far from the main action of Cavill Ave but we didn't mind the walk in.

We stayed for 3 days at this 4 1/2 stars hotel. Crowne Plaza Hotel is only about 2 blocks from the nearest clean beach. It is located at some equal distances between 2 famous Gold Coast attractions, i.e. Surfer Paradise and Pacific Fair/Broad Beach, making it quiet and nice place to stay and suitable for honey moon couples. However, be prepare to use […] taxi ($10) or Limo ($15) to reach such famous areas if you don't wanna spend 20-30 minute walking each way. Hotel staff are all very helpful, providing a pleasant environment of our stay. The room and bathroom layouts are excellent, equipped with comfortable and clean bedding, and attached with wide window glass and doors that link to an outdoor balcony. The Balcony is very good for smokers like us, particularly since all public area, hotel rooms, bars and restaurants in the entire Gold Coast are now prohibited from smoking. A major backlog of the hotel is the wifi, which is available for 30 minute free at the hotel lobby only, but charged quite expensively in the room. Given its relatively remote area from any major attraction, a wifi connection can actually able to compensate it by making it free of charge. Unfortunately it is not. Hotel interior, walls and carpets are less impressive compare to about similar price of more luxurious Marriott hotel in Melbourne that we are currently staying now, so it may be subject to immediate renovation to maintain its reputation. Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise is a good, quality hotel with clean rooms, polite service and in a central location. The hotel itself is about half way between Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise, making it easy to get to either tourist location. We walked both to both Broadbeach and Surfers from the hotel and each trip took approximately 30 minutes one way. […] Also caught a cab during nights out in heels and it was approximately $10 for a one way trip to restaurants at either location. The room was tidy, serviced daily and overlooked a combination of other properties and the water. The road noise from the Gold Coast Highway is bearable with the door to the balcony open and almost non existant with the door shut. The beds were comfortable and clean and the maid service made the beds each day properly (not just pulling up the top layer of sheets). Parking for hotel guests is easy and free and located under the building. Staff were friendly and accomodating for the most part and the concierge was extremely helpful. As a seasoned traveller for work I found the Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise very favourable in comparison to many other 4 star hotels I have stayed in during trips to other cities in Australia. Nice rooms, pleasant staff. About halfway between Broadbeach and Surfers, I would say a 15 min walk to both. Construction is going on the highway as they are building light rail, but it wasn't too disturbing, just took a little longer for driving times, but that is gold coast wide at the moment as they are getting ready for commonwealth games in 6 years […] time. Hotel & Staff lovely. Great deals available for Hotel: Had a superior Double room with scrumptious Breakfast for the weekend at a V reasonable cost.
