Hugging the harbour, this district is a monument to sensitive urban planning, with well-preserved cobbled lanes and a Colonial streetscape marking it as Sydney’s oldest district. Locals and visitors mingle here amid designer boutiques, al fresco cafés, lively pubs, galleries, museums, and some of the city’s best restaurants. The weekend markets are not to be missed.

The hotel was fine--nothing exceptional and it seemed a bit dated and in need of a "freshening up" remodel. Overall it is a satisfactory hotel and in a great location to explore much of the nicer parts of Sydney.

out of value="5""Great Location, Could use some TLC"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 15, 2009
The hotel is right in the center of the Rocks area of Sydney - two blocks from the Circular Quay. We found the room very comfortable but in need of some updating - the tub was small and we constantly clashed with the shower curtain. The grouting in the tile was showing mildew - but not so much as to make it repulsive - just annoying. Upon our arrival by taxi there was no bellman to assist us with our luggage as the hotel, apparently laid off the crew. We were pointed to where the luggage trolleys were stored. Rooms 429 through 432 are within a meter of the guest laundry. The pool is on the 8th floor accessible only by a walk up two short sets of stairs. There is no bar service available at the pool. The rooftop view is to-die for as the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House are right there. Would recommend this hotel for travelers on holiday, not in the right location for business travelers.

Could only stay one night and wished I could have stayed longer! First impressions, hotel staff friendly and helpful, hotel very clean and modern and the hotel pool and spa is impressive on the rooftop! The hotel is in a great location right by the 'rocks' where there are cafes and shops and near to the harbour bridge and Circular Quay where you can go on a boat trip to various destinations. Also at Circular Quay there is a train station, I got a train from there to Town hall only 2 stops away where I visited the Victoria building, a beautiful building with stain glassed windows where there a lots of shops. The Sydney Opera House is only about a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. You can see the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge from the rooftop of the hotel, a lovely view. I was sad to leave, especially having to come home to wet cold England!

L'albergo si trova nella zona più bella di Sydney, The Rocks, dalla terrazza con piscina si può ammirare la baia di Sydney, il ponte e la Opera House. Comodo per la notte e il giorno.
