After careful considering, my husband and I chose this hotel for our honeymoon in Bora Bora. Island living is different, I'll tell you that much, but at the end of the trip and after seeing all the other hotels...I'll have to say that although there are newer hotels out there and one with way more modern conveniences, I'm really glad we stayed at the […] La Moana. It was the perfect combination of Polynesian culture and modern day convenience (read: air conditioning and internet). A few things that will make you want to stay here. First, The hotel is not ran by a bunch of french people with the locals in the back working. They actually hire local people that live nearby. I would know. One of them offered to go home to get a coconut for me since the hotel wanted me to order a day in advance because some tree climbing was involved. =) Also, there are activities that are really cool. Like for example, they have a demonstration on how to make a popular Tahitian dish and pareo shows. Second, the location of the hotel is perfect for getting around. I don't know about you all, but having to be shuttled by boat from island to the other just to get to dinner annoys me, especially when I'm hungry. We normally only stay at Le Meridien when we travel, however, I'm glad we didn't. In order to get to dinner outside of the hotel, we would have to take a shuttle boat to the main island and then a taxi to the restaurant. And the hotel charges for shuttle boat transfers. Read more

Wow! What an awesome experience! We were extremely happy with this resort and would go back again. Loved the location, views, and overwater bungalows. I wasn't wild about the showers (totally open) and the wind can get kind of annoying at times, but it was definitely worthwhile.

The staff were marvellous - particularly Pauline who checked us in and gave us a guided tour. It was great to have the manager come and chat with us daily as she came across us around the resort or in the restaurant. The room was incredible. I loved the glass coffee table which opened out so we could feed the amazing fish living underneath. The weather […] wasn't that brilliant but it was a great opportunity to relax. We tried some of the local restaurants, but apart from Bloody Mary's we would have been better off dining at the hotel restaurant where the service was great and prices reasonable. Our departure was like saying goodbye to good friends. Most guests were honeymooning couples but we were there with our 13 year old daughter and she was a bit lonely at times. Read more

It was excellent - Beautiful location, but WINDY! This is because you are on Matira point. The other Intercontinental is not as windy; but also WAY more money. I would suggest to not take the hotel shuttle from the airport - they provide a free shuttle from the aiport to the marina; from there you can take a cab for 1500 CFP (~18 CDN $$) WAY cheaper […] than the 10,000 CFP the hotel shuttle will cost! The location is great - excellent proximity to walk to some restaurants (Hotel Mai Tai) and the Pizza place almost right next door. The beach location is amazing as well. They provide snorkle gear, kayaks and towels at the beach hut. Free shuttle to other Intercontinental where you also have access to towels and gear to use. I recommend visiting the supermarket down the street from the hotel (10 min walk) and buy soda, water and snacks - this saves! The breakfast was good (~80 CDN for 2 people) and not quite worth it, but hearty and delicious. The food at the hotel (dinner) was expensive - I liked the value and atmosphere at Bloody Mary's - I would have eaten there more had we thought about going sooner! Also - slow season is Nov-April - ask for a late check-out they more than likely can accomodate during these months. ps - dont let "rainy" season scare you - these storms roll in and out within 5 minutes! 相比五星级的兄弟酒店洲际泰拉索，这个洲际的优势在于性价比较高（当然是说在大溪地这个地方），酒店的房间舒适较宽敞，周边的风景迷人，服务也不错，餐厅的出品还不错（就是早餐的选择少了一些），工作人员都很热情。在Bora Bora的主岛上，交通比较便利（如果不在意交通，只图清闲和舒适的话，就考虑泰拉索吧）。唯一的遗憾是最后安排送机的时候，预留在路上的时间太少，以致于我们差点误机（如果不是恰好飞机晚点的话）。

Bungalow pilotis horizon : excellent sauf la petite fuite d'eau qui n'a pas ete stoppée après 24h. Rien à dire sur l'equipement et le confort : top. Par contre, coté restaurant je crois qu'il vaut mieux aller manger ailleurs. Le mahi-mahi etait tres sec, riz blanc sans sauce. Pour le filet mignon, pas mieux : il etait aussi tres sec. Pour la vue horizon […] : c'est vrai quand on est dans le lit, mais dans le salon ou en terrasse, on avait la vue sur la plage et autres bungalows : on pensait vraiment ne pas avoir de vis-a-vis en choisissant ce type de chambre. On aurait prefere etre placé de l'autre coté : au lieu de la vue plage/bungalow, c'etait une vue montagne. Il y avait aussi 1 animation tous les 2 jours. Read more

Прекрасный отель, тихое место, дружелюбный приветливый персонал - никакого пафоса. Надводные бунгало расположены в мелководной лагуне (кораллов нет - надо плыть или идти дальше - до рифа между лагуной и океаном плыли около минут 40 с остановками). Рыбок и живности в лагуне довольно мало - правда нам повезло и к нам приплывал даже скат-орляк). А там […] много ежиков и небольших рыбок. Для тех кто ждет что сможет нырять с бортика - вынуждена разочаровать - не попрыгаешь, из-за того, что воды по пояс. Это по сути были недочеты)) Все остальное отлично - прекрасное просторные бунгало, приветливый персонал, вкусная еда и коктейли, Напротив отеля красивейший общественный пляж. В бунгало есть чайник, чай-кофе, лед приносят, холодильник наличествует. Рядом поселок, магазинчик продуктовый есть - идти минут 15. Возьмите местный багет - очень вкусный хлеб ). Рядом с отелем есть ресторан-пиццерия - рекомендую ягненка!! Нежнейшее мясо! Очень вкусно. Read more
