The room was beautiful! Gray and white is a soothing combination. The beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows. It's a quiet neighborhood - no sirens in the night. The bathtub was deep enough to float in and the shower stall was HUGE! Loved the bathrobes and the towels were enormous! Could not have asked for anything more. We will probably stay there again next year when we come in for the Mag Mile Lights Festival.

The Sutton Place is a very nice hotel in a great neighborhood. I was a bit disappointed in the Concierge, he wasn't really willing to help us out to much when we were looking for dining suggestions that weren't "See and be Seen" options. There was also a funky smell in the bathroom on the lower floor rooms that was a bit off putting. Other than that it is a great location and would stay again for sure!

The location of the Sutton Place couldn't have been better-2 blocks off of Michigan Avenue and across the street from other great shops/restaurants. The service was outstanding-everyone was very friendly and it was no hassle at all to leave our bags (all 6 of them) after we checked out for over 6 hours before we picked them back up. The room/hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room was a little muggy and after turning the air conditioning down to try and cool it off it didn't work that great at all--that would be our only complaint. Everything else was great and the deal we got on hotels.com made it that much better. It was great for the money that we spent, however, I would not pay full price for it.

Great location if you're shopping on Michigan Ave., a bit of a hike to the nearest train station. Our room was on sale, so I wasn't surprised we didn't get the best view (rooftops of nearby restaurants?). Very courteous staff. My only complaint is the building-wide heating and air. It was unseasonably warm during our stay, and the heat was still on! We shut our vents and kept a window open so we could sleep.

This is an excellent hotel with an attentive staff, nicely appointed rooms, contemporary baths, comfortable beds, floor to ceiling glass offering great views of the city and the lake. There are several sizes of rooms avaialable, and the top floor two-level suites are outstanding. The lobby is comfortable, and The Whiskey Bar located on the first floor is a great little club. Skip the "big name" hotels and stay at The Sutton Place Hotel. You won't regret it!

While definitely not the Four Seasons, this hotel was clean, well kept, well located, and a pleasure to be in. While no great shakes in terms of dining, there are so man places so close by that that makes no difference. Great, pleasant, helpful personnel in all areas - doormen, concierge, front desk, room service, etc. Very happy with this hotel, and will stay there again.

Hotel was quiet and in a residential neighborhood. Very close to Miracle Mile and Hancock Tower. About 5-6 short blocks from nearest subway stop on the Red Line. Be aware. Nobody asked us about a non-smoking room. Didn't realize that until after we checked in. The hotel was fully booked and we could not switch rooms.

The hotel and staff were great. The room was spacious with very comfortable beds. The only drawback would be the lack of free wifi. All along our trip wherever we stayed, free wifi was just part of hotel amenities. I don't know why this couldn't be part of this hotel's offering. Other than that, there were no complaints.

We stayed at The Sutton Place Hotel mainly because of price. But it is a great place to stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the front desk staff to the concierge to the doormen. The room was spacious. We got a lakeview room. Granted being on the 8th floor the view was only parts of the lake but it was fine. It was clean and comfy. Location is good, one block from Michigan Avenue right at Rush street. Many restaurants and bars in the area. And everything is really within walking distance, albeit a mile walk, but still a nice one. I give the hotel and the city an A+.

Room could use some stronger light bulbs for those who like to read in bed; and hotel could find a different disinfectant or soap for the towels if one is not to be so aware of the aroma.

Everything with the hotel itself was satisfactory. They did give us an upgrade for an extra charge which we took. Beds are incredible. So comfortable. The room next to us was so noisy on the third night. We complained twice to the front desk. Each time they called security once around 11:30 and then at 2am. Didn't help much. Wish they could have done more. People should have been kicked out of the hotel, in my opinion. The next day at 9am before we checked out, they were blaring music again. The hotel did try to comp breakfast for us by leaving a message on our hotel room phone, but we didnt get any sleep from the night before our departure day, so they ended up taking money off our bill, not much but my wife was satisfied with it. Hotel has great location. Lots of places to eat around their location. Loved Texas de Brazil on Ohio street.
