The hotel was just outside the main strip which I liked. It was about a 10 minute walk, I would be a little cautious late at night. But that's pretty much anywhere in Vegas. I like the hotel tucked away because the gaming tables always had room for players, and table minimums alowed for extended play. Over all I'd stay there again and reccomend it for anyone looking to save a few bucks on a decent hotel.

Great property for the money.

The standard room that I stayed in lacked power outlets; I could not finding one near my bed to charge my phone with. I ended up using the one in the bathroom. The big furnitures like desk, chest of drawers made the room very elegant, but they blocked up a lot of power outlets. And because furnitures were big, a lot of trash fell behind them and was not cleaned up. Yes, they are covered and the dirty parts are not seen by most people. But I ended up discovering it when I went to the back of furnitures to find power outlets. It's quiet nasty behind there. Also, I find the wiring of power cables for just about everything in the room to be kind of messy. Like under the beside table, behind the big furnitures, and etc. It seems that every power outlet had an expansion device on it, and every power slots on the expansion are all full! Hence why I really had trouble finding an open outlet. Besides the above, the pool is nice (closes at 2 A.M.) which allows kids to play in the pool even at night. The hotel rooms really have a high-class feel to them, and bathrooms are well equipped. With the price, this hotel is a good alternate for hotels on the strip, but just be aware of a $15 service charge per day per room. Don't be surprised when checking in; it kind of surprised me that it's that high for service charge.

The Westin is a great location just off the strip behind "Bill's". The first block is an ok walk, but the second block is a bit trashy, broken beer bottles, does look like future construction, so that may help! I felt safe walking, but something to consider...I am a female and walked back from the strip even at 4 am, just be aware of surroundings and folks walking with you. The hotel itself was well appointed, great little casino, non smoking. Wonderful cheap craps table!! Rooms were very nice, true to the Westin flavor.

Room and amenities were quite up to par. It was the hidden charges that I did not like. When booking the hotel online, I thought that would be the TOTAL price I would pay. However, when I arrived to the hotel, I was told there would be a $15 charge per night for cleaning fees and what not (I stayed a total 2 nights). I just checked my cc bill and found that $32.32 was charged which is the 15x2+tax= 32.32. I was charged an additional 7.72 for what I don't know Overall good except for the $$ part
