Great location for walking the strip. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
"They should call it the A...."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
For the price paid this hotel is totally worth the money. Free breakfast and no resort fees! Location right on fremont. Hotel staff were very nice compared to some higher priced hotels. Front desk was friendly at check in. Valet guys were nice. Breakfast was awesome. Room was a little dated and tired but for the rate paid it was clean, quiet and safe.
"Great Price, Poor Hotel Upkeep"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The room was a steal at the price, and it was right on the strip. Only complaints /i had were poor lobby lay-out (had to ask where the check in desk was) and poor room and elevator maintenance, the elevators shook so bad i thought we could plunge to the bottom at any moment.

When we were looking for hotels to book for the weekend we were in Vegas, all the hotels we usually stay on the strip were extremely pricey. I suppose they had a convention or something going on that weekend. We didn't want to go off the strip, or get a hotel that was less than 4 stars. After searching for couple of days straight, we stumbled on this […] Marriott. The guest rating don't seem amazing at first since I usually don't search for hotels with guesting rating of under 4.0. But as I read the review, most of the negative reviews were about the renovation they were doing earlier this year in the lobby. I also looked at oyster and tripsdvisor. After reading all the reviews we decided to give it a try. And am I glad I did! The basic room's size was a generous size, cleanliness was notable, the staff was friendly. I really have nothing negative to Say about this hotel. Major bonus point was the cafe 325 down stairs. I typically avoid hotel foods, but this time I didn't have a say in the matter. I ordered the cheapest thing on the menu, their Caesar salad. And it was by far the most fresh, delicious cearsar I had in a long long time. I was so pleased, I tried to go back the next day... Great overall experience!! Read more
"great location"
if you're going to the Convention Center is one of the best hotels to stay. staff is friendly and accomodating. they were undergoing some construction while i was there, so the lobby was tore up at times. since CES was in town the hotel allowed a huge banner to be hung from the building blocking the view from the room, that was the only drag..
"Housekeeping could have been alot better"
For New Years Eve the cost per night was excellent. The staff at check in was wonderful and accommodating. My only complaint was on housekeeping. After the first night, when I returned to the room later in the afternoon around 3pm nothing had been done so a call had to be placed for housekeeping. The next two nights, the housekeeping was less then expected […] and for this reason alone I would not recommend. However I may book again and see if it was just due to the New Year's Eve weekend and possibly being understaffed. Read more

"UNDER RENOVATION... LIMITED PARKING... A MESS!!"
The Las Vegas Marriott is currently undergoing renovations, and the entire first floor and lobby is closed as of November 10, 2011. You have to enter the hotel through a single back door off the parking lot in the back of the hotel, then take an elevator to the second floor to check in. The entire first floor of a 3-story parking structure is completely […] blocked off, so parking after 11pm or so is impossible, and it's not a neighborhood where street parking is readily available or especially safe. This hotel is marketed as a "smoke-free facility", but every single time we entered or exited through the ONE available door to the hotel, there were anywhere from 4-10 people smoking right outside the entrance. Smelled like a casino. When I spoke to the manager on duty and told her I thought they had a responsibility to let customers know in advance that the hotel was under renovation and VERY substandard to a typical Marriott experience, I was told that "if people aren't happy, we'll gladly relocate them to the closest Marriott that has availabilty." She was nice enough, but totally missed the point. When I suggested they have a responsibility to post an update on hotels.com letting people know of the renovation and parking limitations, she said "that is something the marketing department handles." Apparently not! The room itself was nice enough, but the curb appeal of this hotel is more like a Motel 6. If you're expecting the look and feel of a Marriott, you will be VERY disappointed. "Good for budget conscious traveller"
Missed the plush rooms that you can get at the strip and can change your experience. It's a good place otherwise and pretty close to the strip. Service is good , had problem when we got in the room. Had booked for 3 people, but when we arrived in the room, the extra bed was the sofa pull out. That should be clearly indicated before booking. We had to […] pay extra to move to 2 queen bed room. "Harrah's nice room but has rough edges"
Harrah's petite suite was nice, clean, and everything worked well except the toilet and the air conditioning. We stayed 3 nights and the room was very comfortable. 1) As soon as the call was made to maintenance about the toilet's pressure unit, they had someone up there within minutes and it was fixed. The maintenance man used all the towels fixing […] the toilet and had housekeeping there within 5 minutes to for a full towel service. That was very nice. 2) The air conditioning unit was hooked into a motion sensor so it would only come on when someone was moving around. While we were happy that the room cools off within 2 or 3 minutes once the motion unit was activated, I was constantly frustrated that when sitting watching TV or when sleeping, the temperature creept up because there was no motion sensed. In the middle of the night, I would have to get out of bed and walk to the motion sensor and wave my hands to get it going. That was very frustrating. There is a "manual" button the the unit that should override the automatic motion setting, but it never worked. We were stuck with hot nights. Other than that, I was pleased with the room. It was quiet, no smells, and clean. Read more
