"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Affordable Quickie in NY"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

The landmark Brooklyn Bridge links Manhattan with the city’s most populous borough. Waterfront Brooklyn Heights offers superb views of Lower Manhattan. Renowned for its brownstones and leafy neighborhoods, Brooklyn embodies America’s “melting pot.” Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Jewish communities add to the cultural mix. Highlights include Coney Island, Prospect Park, and Brooklyn Museum of Art.

The hotel is really excellent. I stayed at several hotels in Manhattan and this is on par with the better ones. The gym is absolutely awesome. I would have given them five stars overall but for the fact that I booked (and paid in advance,as per hotel.com standard) - a King bed but was placed on the 5th floor with double beds. I was way too tired and […] couldn't be bothered to re pack and switch rooms, so I just slept in one of the beds for the entire duration. Otherwise, hitch-free stay. Would recommend. Read more

"Staff helpful with a noisy neighbor"
This place is a typical Marriott: clean, comfortable, well-kept. We were assigned a room in the south tower. At 11pm we decided to call it a night and realized that the room next to us was hosting what sounded like a recess in a kindergarten. Lots of loud kids and a wall that was too thin to impede the noise. A call to the staff summoned a security […] person to ask them to put a lid on it, but moments later they were a loud as ever. A second call and suggestion that we would be happy to move rooms was immediately accepted, and everyone was happy: we slept and the kiddies could keep up their partying. Thanks to the Marriott staff. Read more

"reservation glitch?"
When I tried to check in, the woman at the front desk told me that my reservation had been cancelled because I was a day late and hadn't called. Thank goodness I had the email proving I had changed the reservation, otherwise I may have been on the street. She also balked when I asked if a cot would be provided, which contradicted the info I was given […] when I reserved. ("Cot? Sure, no, problems!") That said, when i protested they upgraded us to a junior suite! Seems communication between hotel and Hotels.com could improve. Also, I was promised a stool but none was provided. Read more
"Location, location, location!! Perfect"
I am from NYC and travel there frequently with the family. Usually I stay in Mid Town because of its convenience. I took a risk staying in Brooklyn, but because of the holidays, there was nothing available in Manhattan. I am Very pleased with the Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge. We arrived at 10 pm. I was immediately able to park in their parking garage. […] After a short walk into the Hotel, I was greeted by a pleasant customer service rep at the front desk. As we were checking in a bell hop whisked our baggage up to our room. When we entered our room we were very excited by the view from our City View Suite. It was worth the extra. We needed extra blankets and pillows for our room. When we called the desk, they were very attentive and had what we needed up to our room in 5 minutes. As for the comfort of the room, it was very quiet and comfortable. The showers and bathrooms were very clean and we had no issues with the room. As for the location, the hotel is located at Jay Street Metro-tech, which is an MTA hub. You can catch a train to pretty much anywhere in Midtown by walking only 5 minutes to the subway. I would have to say that this hotel in mid town manhattan would easily be worth double what we paid. RECOMMENDED!! Read more
"Disappointed with Hotel front desk service"
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and this is the first time it was not a positive experience. There was a gum wrapper in the toilet upon my check in and the front desk staff did not initially take my credit card number when I checked in. I provided it, but they did not scan it - and then they proceeded to hound me for it through my stay. I […] was in town for business and it was not easy to coordinate time to go down and take care of it. Disappointed that they made it my problem to resolve instead of taking responsibility for the initial error and allowing me to take care of it at check out. Read more

"Our stay at the Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge"
Awesome place to stay. STAFF WAS SO AWESOME!! Close to all food establishments. Blimpee's was good on the last day. The asian eatery 1 block away had the best COFFEE IN TOWN. He was so pleasant, and so was his food. Stay away from McDonald's..its too crazy in there. Ride the subway and bus. I can't wait to come back and stay there, Although Hotels.com […] messed up our reservations.....always have a backup plan whene it comes to hotels. There were NO HOTELS CLOSE AT ALL TO STAY IN. GOOD EL! Read more
Good value and nice staff. However, never stay in lower floor rooms (3rd, 4th) above a wedding - can hear the band.
great location, very attractive hotel. but amenities were more like a motel than hotel.

"Super Friendly Staff"
I put my 75 year old father up at the Brooklyn Marriot for one night. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful to him.
"marriotts are always reliable"
nice service; a very good dinner; the room was a bit small (no fluffy robes or thick towels).....it doesn't quite make a 4 star hotel in my view. if you need to be in downtown brooklyn though, this is the best you will find. also a bit pricey.
"Location location location"
The hotel was location a block from the subway and a block from Fulton street where there were many stores and outside vendors. The hotel staff were excellent and the rooms were very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

"Nice staff, thin walls"
Our recent stay at the Marriott in Brooklyn was a contrast - while the hotel staff was very nice and provided great service, the hotel itself was lacking. Other than an updated bathroom, the room was very ordinary, but worse yet, the walls were VERY thin. We could hear the man in the next room coughing all night long, and I'm pretty sure we knew when […] anyone within 2 rooms on either side of us ran water. The location is very convenient (easy walk to the Brooklyn Bridge and nearby neighborhoods), so for a one night, quickie stay, it did the trick. But it was definitely one of the loudest nights in a long time. Ironically, street noise was very minimal! Read more

"Reasonably priced accommodations in great location"
I've stayed at this hotel several times, and we always have a good experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a room with 2 double beds and our kids had trouble sleeping together as they kept kicking each other and waking each other up. So we asked for a cot the next morning, and they brought a comfortable rollaway bed to our room within […] a very short time after we asked - no extra charge. Parking charges are much less here than in Manhattan. The hotel is convenient to almost every subway line, so you can be anywhere in Manhattan in under 1/2 hour. The hotel has a nice fitness center with lots of equipment, and a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. My only gripe was that they wouldn't let my kids go in the hot tub, even though the guest guide in our room said that kids could go in as long as an adult was supervising. They were disappointed. But other than that, I had no complaints about the stay. We'll definitely stay again. Read more
"Marriott Brooklyn Bridge"
The price was exorbitant. No fan in bathroom. Despite ridiculously high price for room, no complimentary breakfast.
"Quiet Rooms"
I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. Very close to the Subway. The room was sound proof (the not hear the noise form the street.) I love the sheets on the bed, I slept like a baby. The people who worked at this Hotel were very nice. I plan to stay again in the future.

"outstanding hotel"
This hotel is pricey (what hotels aren't in NYC) but a wonderful hotel.
"Beautiful"
I loved it. Everything was perfect. Could be a little cheaper but it was great
"What a surprise!!!"
Parking was a breeze and reasonable for NY. Room larger than I expected for NY. Pool pleasant -- but only a quick stop for kids (not big enough for a long time). Starbucks in the lobby -- very pleasant staff -- comfortable sleeping I've come to expect from Marriott. We'll stay here and only here, I think, when visiting NYC -- even if it's a bit of a […] train ride (stop is one, one and a half block walk . . .) to major destinations like times square. Read more
"Okay."
This hotel was clean. Had a Miss something or another contest going on there, so the common areas were very crowded, and noisy. The hotel was close to where I needed to be and is also close to subways as well as the Brooklyn and Manhatten Bridges. Seemed a little high in price for the location.
"Above average hotel for a reasonable price"
I chose this hotel because it was close to where my daughter lives in Brooklyn Heights. It was very convenient to the subway lines that I needed to get to Manhattan and close to the shops and restaurants on Montague St. The room was larger than others I have stayed in in Manhattan for the same price, and I appreciated the refrigerator. It was nice that […] when we arrived at 9 am they let us check in. I had two small complaints. First, they didn't have the two-bedded room I reserved and told me (they didn't ask) that they were giving me a king room and sending up a rollaway (there were 3 in my party). And second, they didn't have complimentary coffee and tea available. Even the Marriott resorts I have stayed in (that charge for absolutely everything) provided that. Overall, however, the hotel met my expectations. I would definite stay again. Read more

"Great Brooklyn Option"
This is a good place to stay especially if you've already done the midtown / Manhatten thing. Short walk to Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights is great for casual dining.
"great hotel but need better tv service!"
Unable to watch pay per view movies - something was wrong with the signal (rainy cold night so we didn't want to go out) Unable to check out using the tv, it wouldn't connect with the menu to check out. Room was beautiful and clean cleaning was done very early service desk was very helpful and answered right away. I was able to check out over the phone […] without any difficulty. Staff was very helpful and friendly! Read more

"The Marriott- Brooklyn Bridge"
I will most definitely stay at this hotel again. Very beautiful hotel, close to the subway and 5 min to the Brooklyn Bridge. Ringing in New Years eve 2012 on the Brooklyn Bridge with my kids and husband is a memory I will forever cherish. The only downfall was the view from my hotel room. I spent the extra fee to get a view of Manhattan, and I only […] got to see a bit of the Manhattan Bridge. I was quite disappointed with the view but otherwise the hotel was amazing. I will for sure stay here again. Read more
