This is a good hotel. It's a little older and the hallways are kinda rough, and the "breakfast" is some muffins in plastic wrap, but the rooms are nice, the price is right, the rooms are very clean, the internet is ok, overall worth the money.

Morning and afternoon staff was friendly and acomodating. The late night staff was left to be desired. My check in was after 11:30 and I was not greeted by a friendly smile like the morning staff. Things that could be improved: The bed was a little too firm for me. Sheets could've been a little better. What is up with hotels now a days skimping on their sheets. And that's with any hotel. The fridge was noisy and didn't really keep anything cold. But that was the only thing that was noisy. You can't hear the planes at the airport or the freeway, having both of them be very close. The other thing that I wish could've been improved, was that the stairs and hallways weren't very clean. The stairway looked like they havent been cleaned/mopped in a while, various pieces of trash I saw the whole time during my 3 day stay. We had a really nice stay. We almost felt as if we were alone,it was so quiet. The only complaint I would have had was when we walked into the room it was very dark and when we pulled the dark drapes back, it had no sheers to keep anyone from looking into our room. We were on the first floor.

Room was clean and comfortable. Evening staff checking us in was very rude and unprofessional. She was not helpful and made it difficult to check in, even though the hotel was booked with a credit card and already paid for in full. She needs to be retrained on treating people with dignity and respect.

The kids above me started running in the halls and jumping on the bed before 6 AM the two mornings I wanted sleep. Didn't stop until after 9 AM. Tried calling the front desk and no one ever answered. No pool, in So Cal that is a big mistake. TV only has CNN and other garbage, no NPR or other good channels. Great place for jocks and noisy families.

I requested a non-smoking room and was told there were none available. This ment I had to sleep in my car for 2 nights. The room was not made up when I arrived (f4:00pm). We decided to fly in and out of Long Beach and of course this was also the weekend for Carmagedon II. I have to say that we were arriving late because we were coming from a wedding in the San Fernando Valley. The night gal Jackie was awesome. My wife and I stayed here one night. Never again. We got there to check in and no one was at the lobby. There was a ready two other persons waiting to check in. After 10min of waiting we left. Over all my experience at this hotel was bad. There was kids out in the hallways, people had their room door open and some were loud. From the second I walked in I had a bad experience. There was no one to greet me at the Front desk. I sat and waited for someone to come help me and while I waited I was able to hear the man that would be helping me talking to a maid about how much he didn't want to check in people today. When he finally came to help me what seemed like a bum came walking […] in. He apparently was a guest there, but that worried me because I am a small female. When I went up to me room which was a non smoking floor, it still smelled of smoke. Inside the room everything looked clean and the TV was nice, but it smelled like oranges gone bad. Greeted by the afternoon desk clerk who made our checkin as difficult as it could possibly be. Would not let my spouse check in as the reservation was made in my name, not hers. In-room eating utensil items were incomplete, & the toaster had a middle element not functioning. Replacement toaster crumb door fell off as soon as we removed it from the bag it had been wrapped in. Staying at this hotel felt like I had my own little studio. I reccomend this hotel if you are staying for several days. The only down side of the hotel is that room service does not come during your stay, but if you do need anything you can call the front desk for it. the room was clean and all the appliances worked fine.

overall I would say the hotel was ok. It is clear that it has been remodeled. It was clean but lacking in some areas. I am very adaptable and rarely make negative comments at all but feel it is helpful to read what others say about their stays---so here goes. Most significantly for us was that our room must have had new mattresses recently placed in […] it. Which is nice--but they squeaked so badly that any movement at all would awake others. We spoke to the front desk but there was nothing they could do. We were in town to drop our son off at college so we were sharing beds---this was really pretty bad. The kitchen is a nice way to save $$ when traveling with a family so this is a plus. However, they have VERY LITTLE in the way of dishes (2) and silverware. You do need to go to the front desk to get more---if they have it. It does appear to be left over from some college student and none of it is the same. It did serve it's purpose but in general it brings down the quality of the stay. Our air conditioner worked well but leaked pretty badly. We did tell them but it was not fixed during our stay. As others have said they do not supply shampoo, etc. Also, the breakfast is NOT any kind of 'real' breakfast. It consisted of pretty bad coffee, mini muffin, and a small granola type bar in the lobby---which is very small, also. Overall, it was a good location for an okay hotel. We arrived around 5:30PM and was informed that one of the housekeepers got ill and had to leave, so our room wasn't ready for over an hour. I was searching for a good price for one quick night before moving into our new place and this was it! It was very nice to jump in our rental car from the airport and be in our hotel minutes later! room smelled a little smokey. A lot of people hanging out around the out side area of the building. It did not feel normal. Front desk not attented. Sign advised they would return in 5 minutes. I waited 14 minutes and I'm not sure how long the sign had been there before I arrived.
