"a bit older of a Motel, but I was very impressed"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This was a bit older of a Motel, but I was very impressed how clean it was.I was very happy with the service people. Very friendly and helpful. I missed my plane and they were very good to me and I stayed there one more night. The price is in relationship with the kind of motel this and i was pleased. They deserve their / your business. Their breakfast is only muffins and orange juice.

Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don’t miss the futuristic main library. Seattle’s twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.

Always quiet and staff is wonderful and helpful. Convenient location too.
Great Location, The Service was good, and the room and view were great.
"Charming and Convenient"
The Inn at the Market is a great choice if you plan to visit the major tourist attractions in Seattle without the need for a car. The hotel is charming, the rooms are comfortable and the service was very attentive. If you book here, try to request a room in the higher floors since the foot traffic around the market can be easily heard.
"Absolutely great"
Would love to stay there again when I go back with my family this summer. But the summer rates are a bit high - no wonder, it's such a nice spot.
"A wonderful spot to explore the heart of Seattle"
Top notch hotel in the heart of Pike Street Market and my favorite area in Seattle. Great option for tourists.
"Pike Place Market, INN"
GREAT LOCATION...All excellant, service, cleanliness and attention to detail.. Only draw-back was construction noise from across the street.
"Inn at the Market ideal home base in Seattle"
Our recent stay at the Inn at the Market was nearly perfect. The location is right in the middle of our favorite Seattle amusements, including the Market, restaurants, theaters, and shopping. It is three blocks from the lightrail station from the airport. The room was large and pleasantly situated, even though we did not pay for a view room. The service […] could not have been better. The on-site restaurants were excellent. It might be my new favorite in Seattle. Read more
"Lovely hotel!"
I was only at this hotel for 1 night, but wish I could have stayed longer. I was upgraded to a suite. It was a nice, big room with a deck overlooking the water. Plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby. Will be staying here again.
"Great experience at Inn at the Market."
I had a great time at the Inn at the Market. Its very convenient to the the Pike Place market and has tons of restaurants nearby. Room was nice and clean, the staff was friendly. Great experience at this hotel!
"Great service and location"
I have been wanting to stay at this hotel for years and finally had the opportunity to do this. My wait was rewarded by excellent service and comfort in this intimate hotel. Impeccable service and a great location next to Pike Place Market. Fifth floor terrace overlooking Puget Sound was a private haven. I look forward to returning to this hotel.
"Amazing Location but pay for the King room"
We've stayed at the Inn a few times, each time in the past was either a King City View or King Harbor View. This time we booked on a "Special" rate and got a queen room. We were very disappointed. The room was tiny and dark. Nothing like the rooms we had in the past. The King rooms were well worth the price, while the Queen room was not. We weren't […] even sure that the bed was actually a queen as it seemed to be more like a double. We almost couldn't tell it was the same hotel. We also found the housekeeping to be just passable this time, noting several failings in the daily service. It is worth noting that the hotel offered to switch us to a King room after the second night, but it would have been only for one night and we didn't want to bother with moving. Of course the location and convenience of this hotel and overall service can't be beat if you just want to bop around town. Despite the problems I experienced, I will always return to this hotel when I visit Seattle. Read more
"Within walking distance of EVERYTHING!"
Loved the Inn. Starting at the entrance to the lobby, it was wonderful, surrounded by stores, restaurants and shopping it is the most convenient hotel around. The rooms were great and the view from the deck-spectacular. We had trouble deciding where to eat, there were so many choices. Shopping at the market is always fun, but so nice not to have to mess […] with parking. Would love to do it again in the summer so we can sit on the deck without the winter coats! Read more
"my favorite seattle hotel"
....never lets me down. Perfect all around.
The location is great for being in downtown Seattle and being able to park your car and walk everywhere very easily! Nice rooms and a very nice holiday setting. Thank you for a great stay. Gary and Rhea Yakima, Washington
"Incredible View at The Inn At The Market in Seattl"
We stayed just one night and hated to leave, though our train was awaiting us for our trip to Chicago so we had to. We've stayed in other hotels in Seattle but from now on the Inn will be our destination of choice. The room was light filled, even on a gloom Seattle day. The location was perfect; witnhin walking distance of many of our favorite places; […] SAM, Taste, Dahlia Lounge, and Cutter's. Read more
"Inn at the Market - Excellent Staff"
We spent our honeymoon in Seattle at the Inn at the Market. The location was superb - right next to Pike Place Market and within walking distance to numerous waterfront restaurants and attractions. All of the staff were EXCELLENT - front desk, bellhops, housekeeping, room service and town car drivers - very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. […] We would highly recommend this hotel! "perfect hotel for a perfect location"
You can not get a more convenient location than across the street from the famous Pikes Public Market. You can walk to all the major shops and restaurants in a couple of minutes. I only wish I had discovered the rooftop deck sooner so I could have spent more time gazing at the waterfront with my feet up!
"Inn at the Market"
Great location for what we wanted to do. Clean and comfortable,. Staff persons were great. Could us a Hot Tub etc, on site.
"Inn at the Market- Seattle- Perfect location"
Finally had a chance to experience pure luxury in D/T Seattle near the Market. Room ..... one word....spectacular. Booked the city view room but when we arrived we were upgraded to partial water view. Comfy beds, flat screen tv, amazing view of Elliot Bay, huge bathroom, quiet, turn down service with chocolates and roof top deck for gazing and photo […] ops. Walked to all D/T has to offer. We live in Portland and plan on returning frequently. Read more
"Inn at Market-great overall experience"
We are midlifers and visited Seattle to 'get away' for a weekend and check out this city where we have not been before. It's in the heart of all the downtown action. Many great restaurants, original Starbucks, antique shops and shopping within walking distance. The hotel room was small, but well appointed and cozy. We took the train from airport to […] hotel and that was much easier than we anticipated. Overall, a great experience! Read more
"Great View!"
We really enjoyed our night at the Inn at the Market. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted and the room was clean, comfortable and full of amenities. Would recommend the view off the 5th floor roof deck to anyone! Hope to stay there again.

"ONLY PLACE TO STAY IN SEATTLE"
THE BEST PLACE I HAVE STAYED IN SEATTLE. THE ONLY BAD THING IS SEATTLE IN GENERAL HAS THE WORST CHECK- IN TIMES. 4 PM YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING!
"Inn at the Market"
Wonderful setting! Hotel was the best. You are close to the market, scenery and downtown. Staff was awesome, rooms comfortable and great food. Would definitely stay there again. The view from the patio was spectacular. Only downfall is there is no bar at the patio you need to bring your own cocktails. The prices of the room cocktails was very reasonable, […] probably less then if there were a bar. A must stay!!! Read more
"Inn At The Market - Seattle"
Great hotel; convenient to Pikes Market and Pier 66 Cruise Ship terminal
"Beautiful oasis amid the charm of the market"
We loved this hotel. It was exactly what we were looking for-an oasis close to the excitement of the market. We did not count on 2 cruise ships unloading on our 1st morning but we ran down to the market to get coffee and yummy pastries then ran back up to the awesome 5th floor rooftop garden overlooking the market and the sound. It was a perfect beginning […] to a great day. Although the cruise crowds mobbed the streets below, we were above it, observing and enjoying the day. I can't say enough about the service, the rooms and the location. Read more

"Inn at the market"
We came to Seattle for our honeymoon. The staff went out of their way to help with any question regarding sites and restaurants. They even snuck into our room and brought us a card with cupcakes to wish us a happy honeymoon. The room was beautiful, spotless and the bed was fabulous!!! I can't wait to come back.
"Inn at the Market"
Overall, a great place to stay. Wonderful location. The only bad thing was that the air conditioner was located right next to the bed and blasted onto your face, even though they had placed a plastic shield to divert it. We ended up having to leave the window open all night so it wouldn't get too hot in the room - and so we were treated to street noises. […] But all in all we would recommend the Inn - just check out your air conditioner first! Read more
The Inn at the Market is in a great location to soak up the atmosphere of Pike Place and is ideal for accessing downtown also. The terrace on the 5th floor has great views and also offers a haven away from the busy streets below - would highly recommend. The room itself was comfortable - nothing special but perfectly adequate. We did have a problem […] with the TV reception, which we didn't really follow up on as we didn't really spend time watching it. You are really paying here for the location, the terrace and the views. Given it's location, some street noise is inevitable, so you may want to bear this in mind if you are a light sleeper. "Great place to stay"
This is a wonderful place to stay. The Pike Place Market is about 30 yards away and the fifth floor deck has great views of Elliot Bay. It is the perfect place to recap the day with a drink or two. Some reviewers have mentioned street noise as a problem. All I can say is it is no different than you would find in any big city. I travel quite a bit, […] and this is notg really a bother.. I will stay here again without hesitation. Read more
"In the heart of Pike Place Market"
What a fantastic location. Right in the middle of Pike Place Market. A short walking distance from many other neighborhoods and the waterfront piers. The view from the 5th floor balcony balcony is breathtaking. Buy a bottle of wine, get some cheese and fruit from Pike Place Market, sit on the 5th floor and just relax. The staff was very friendly!
"A great Hotel"
We stayed here before leaving on a cruise. The hotel is lovely and the service is exceptional. We could see the water from our room. It's just steps to Pikes market. I can;t imagine how this hotel could be any better.

"Lack of Tempurpedic Mattresses"
We were disappointed in the hotel because we had been told that they had Tempurpedic mattresses and we had gone there because we wanted to try out a Tempurpedic Mattress. (I even called the hotel directly to confirm that they had Tempurpedic Mattresses and was told that they did.) Otherwise, the hotel was good. Not sure if it is a nightly occurence, […] but we were awakened by a car alarm 6 times from 11 PM to 1 PM. (They need some sound silencing?) We had a good view of Elliott Bay. So, overall we had a pretty good experience. Read more

"Great hotel with a great view!"
This place is walking distance to anything downtown. The public market, belltown, pioneer square. The rooms are great and we got upgraded twice! I highly recommend this place if you can afford it.

"Great location, but a bit tired"
Although the beds are super comfortable, the upgraded room/suite I had was very dated and nothing special. Furthermore there was no central heating (only a wall unite) which meant you either overheated or froze during the night. Bathrooms although clean, very basic. ...the one good thing is it couldn't be more centrally located and you also have access […] to a fabulous gym, although that is an additional charge. Read more
"Inn At The Market, highly recommended."
Wonderful hotel and the location could not have been better for exploring downtown Seattle. The rooms were quiet and comfortable yet sophisticated. It was a great experience, one worth repeating.
"Inn at the Market - lovely and convenient"
My husband and I chose the Inn at the Market for a one-night get away without our kids. The lobby was lovely and featured wonderful artwork from the owner's art collection. We were offered an upgrade at no extra charge to a partial water view room. This meant we looked out over the interior courtyard and over the rooftop deck out to the water. Unfortunately, […] it was so foggy we couldn't really see anything but the exterior hallways on the opposite side of the courtyard. We ate at Campagne, the french restaurant in the building, which was pricey but excellent. Service at the restaurant was on par with the excellent service at the hotel. The hotel was conveniently located across the street from the Pike Street Market and only three blocks from the Seattle Art Museum. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, although not with kids. A must in downtown Seattle market and symphony area
"Pale by comparison,"
I chose this hotel because of the good reviews and the proximity to Pike's Market. The room we got seemed old, The curtains looked like 1950's. The furnishings were old and quite unattractive by current standings. The carpet was old and stained and dirty looking. The art work was not artistic, more like a filler. The wall paper in the bathroom looked […] old, and had a black cast making one wonder if it was just in need of replacement or merely moldy. The TV was straight right of the bed and hard to watch unless you sat on the side of the bed. The A/C unit sat in the room and took up most of one wall. For a hotel trying top be one of the best it escapes me why there has been no effort to refresh these stale rooms, modernize or at least update. What was good 25 years ago doesn't cut it today unless you are talking of the Fairmont. On a good note, our desire to change hotels was handled prefessionally and courteously by a very able front dest manager. The best thing about the place. My replacement down the street was spectacular for less money. Read more
