We knowingly selected this hotel for its proximity to the Temple Bar area. Despite being in the midst of the action, it was plenty quiet on the top floor. I spent three nights here over Thanksgiving. The location is great - very central but with the location comes weekend noise (no fault of the hotel). The chair in my room was ripped but otherwise clean room. The king bed was two twins that had a tendency to drift. I needed a quick place to overnight near Dublin theatres and the Morgan certainly fit the bill. However, it I wasn't stuck for a last minute reservation, I would have read reviews, like this one, more carefully. This appears to be a smoking hotel, as my room smelled quite dank and the person smoking on my floor really stunk up the hall. Moreover, this hotel is right in the heart of Temple Bar, so of course, it will be noisy. It will be even noisier with the window open, which is necessary even in October. The hotel decor is an attempt at clean, modern lines, but the problem with a white background for funky furniture is that you need to paint now and then and repair the little knicks and dings around the base boards and ceiling. We had a fantastic stay at The Morgan. We arrived a little early at the hotel and were able to check in immediately. Our room unfortunately smelled like smoke and were upgraded to a bigger and nicer room. The staff were most accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was in a great location and very trendy.

We were recommended The Morgan by a few friends but it became clear to us almost immediately that these friends visited the hotel years ago when i'm sure it was a leading boutique hotel. Our rooms were the smallest on the floor. We saw other rooms that were being cleaned and they were all larger. Makes me wonder if we are given the worst rooms because we are booking via a discount provider like Hotels.com.

Stylish, but needs maintenance. Daily cleaning not good. Very loud neighborhood on weekend. Very warm in the room so needed to leave windows open. Location very good. Check in and check out not efficient. Rooms ver low light levels. Overall not satisfied and cannot recommend.

Staff was very friendly and we had a great time. The hotel was clean and quite adequate as it met our expectations. The Morgan is in a great location, on Fleet Street in Temple Bar. Be aware if you are staying on a weekend that Temple Bar gets pretty loud (so if you have trouble sleeping, better to seek accommodations away from Temple Bar).

you don't get much better location than this- walk to temple bar- all sights- stop for hop on/hop off bus..and only a 7 euro taxi from the train station! hip/cool hotel with a great youthful vibe..only improvement could have been condition of the carpets in the rooms..otherwise bedding, towels, bathrooms, furniture all clean and nice!

This hotel is on Temple Bar = loud. Every night, regardless of weekend or weeknight there were people screaming on the street till 4 am. The noise is not just from the street either. Worst of all was the front desk people. I had booked the hotel for 5 nights and upon my arrival asked if I can shorten my stay by a day. The front desk people said they don't know and have to talk to the reservation person... I asled 5 or 6 times, in the following days, having to explain the situation to 3 different staff members. Temple Bar has a lot going on which makes it great for finding places to eat and drink, and a lot of great sights are within easy walking distance. It was very trendy and modern. The elevator is really cool. I was impressed with the look, size and cleanliness of the room. The only complaint is that the toilet is inches from the shower glass siding. Not very comfortable. Overall, great value however. Great location and would recommend to anyone.

Overall, my stay was "fine". The small terrace I had was a redeeming factor as the ability to have fresh air in what was a very cramped space was a blessing. The room and hotel was disappointingly worn down. To see their website which is slick and modern and sparkling fresh clean was in starck contrast to the reality. The hand held shower piece holder was broken so you were forced to hold it throughout the time and you could not use the overhead shower option as there was a leak that fountained over the glass doors and flooded the bathroom floor, so much so that the bathroom door was warped and the wood flaking at the bottom from what must have been years of water-soak. The bed was bliss I have to say and is the only reason I chose to still recommend this hotel. The location also supported my rating. I stay in this area of Dublin usually at another hotel which was not available this time. I personally would alter my dates to stay at the other hotel next time and only choose this hotel out of absolute necessity, and if I do before I unpack will run the shower first! :-) Read more

The hotel has a great location, no doubt about it. The rooms were clean, but definitely not luxurious, they had basically futons for beds. The bathroom was clean. If you are a young, 21-24 year old looking for a great place to party - book here. The music from the lobby bar permeated the entire hotel until 2:30 am, proceeded by loud young adults fumbling back to their rooms. Perhaps this only happens on the weekends - I wouldnt know. The couple we traveled with had to change their room twice because of the noise - but the staff was good about doing their best to try to accommodate them - kudos to the staff for that. We were told that parking could be validated if we paid at the hotel. But, we paid at the hotel and STILL had to pay at the parking garage. It was all wrong - but we didnt bother to go back. The frustration was too high and we were just happy to leave the Morgan behind and move on with our trip. I do not know how it got a 4 star review. Read more

The hotel bar turns into a nightclub at night. In addition to loud music, there were drunk loud people roaming the halls early in the morning. While the rooms weren't bad and the staff was very friendly, the loud noise made it very difficult to sleep and be comfortable.

The Morgan is right in the middle of Temple Bar and a short walk to Trinity College, Grafton Street, the O'Connell Street Bridge, and tons of other sites in the middle of the city. Just be warned that the Morgan is also home to one of the only real nightclubs in Dublin. When the traditional Irish pubs are closing down, the Morgan is still going. The […] Morgan Bar takes over the lobby as well and the sound will travel up to your third floor room. Plan on hanging out at the Morgan Bar until it closes down at 2:30am or make sure you bring some earplugs. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. In the early morning hours when not a single cafe was open, someone at the Morgan would appear with much needed coffee. I didn't like my room - the too small bathroom was constantly flooded from the shower. The staff moved me to a different room for the rest of my stay and everything in the new room was just great.
