"Hotel på en U-banestation"
Udmærket hotel, meget venlige mennesker i receptionen.

"Old-School European Style Hotel"

Like other reviews have stated, the location is very convienant to the St. Pauli U-Bahn station and only a 10 minute or so ride from the main train station. From the Hotel, 2 stops on the U-Bahn gets you to the harbor where plenty of activities along the Elbe River are located. The Hotel sites on the edge of the Red-light district, but never had a problem with noise or other issues associated with such an area. Plenty of Resturants are available around the hotel. The hotel lobby is small with a bar attached to it and the rooms are on the upper floors of the building. The rooms are small and basic but clean. The bed very comfortable.. My only complaint was the size of the shower which had a shower curtain that wanted to wrap around you. The best part of the hotel was the extremely friendly and helpful staff who were second-to-none. The included breakfast was decent too. Wi-fi was included. For the price, I would definately stay again.

I stayed at this Hotel for a long Weekend and enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, the rich breakfast buffet, the free Internet and the Location, as it is within walking distance to a U-Bahn Station, and especially to the Landungsbrücken and all major attractions around Hamburg Harbour, directly situated on the "Reeperbahn". The single room was a small double for single use, the bathroom was well equipped. Everybody was helpful and friendly. The value was very good, as the room rates are not expensive and I would return there for a future trip to this great City.

I stayed at this hotel for four days. The rooms are small, especially the bathroom. It wasn't a pleasant room. HOWEVER, the hotel is really close to the train station, St. Pauli, the staff were very helpful, and the internet was free. The real surprise came later on when I received the bill - the price was amazingly low, and I could pay it in cash!

it was nice to stay in this place. right on the corner of reeperbahn, very close to the train station and well connected to the city. this is a very good place to stay if you are looking for a budget hotel yet with all the basic amenities one can expect. the breakfast is decent for the price and staff very decent. within walking distance to many attractions also. free wifi is available.
"Poor for the price we paid"

Photos on the hotels website are misleading as the rooms are small, and not as modern or bright as implied. There wasn't too much noise as we had a room at the side of the hotel, but this would be different if you had a room facing the main road. Breakfast was okay with a good variety of food to choose from My main complaint was the man who was on reception. He was unsmiling, very abrupt and unhelpful. He needs training in how to deal with customers, as I cant remember anyone on a hotel reception having such a bad attitude. We later stayed at the Holiday Inn Express just around the corner and the staff there were the complete opposite, always smiling and very helpful with any request that was made. The Holiday Inn was also cheaper, and had better rooms with tea and coffee making facilities!

This hotel is on the corner of the Reeperbahn in a questionable/interesting area of Hamburg. However, we felt quite safe. The rooms were not overly large, but were clean. the tariff was reasonable but we had to pay up front. The good thing was, it is within walking distance of many attaractions: the famous "Michel" church, Landungsbruecke, Bismark statue, Kraemeramt, Rathaus, and obviously the Reeperbahn itself. In spite of being in a very busy area of Hamburg, it was quiet and we slept well in the comfortable beds. We didn't breakfast at the hotel, but preferred to buy delicious pastries a short walk down the street. Coffee was available for guests.
"Small rooms but great located"

The Hotel Imperial in Hamburg is directly situated at the Reeperbahn, where the night life is going on at night. The rooms are small so dont expect a big one. But they have been renovated recently and so they are very modern and charming. The staff is very personal and very nice and helps with everything. The breakfast buffet was small but tasty. For everyone who likes small personal hotels and not the big anonymous ones are here in the right spot.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights Feb 11th and 12th. Hotel is in an excellant location just 2 min walk to the St Pauli football stadium. Booked a single room and it was tiny.Bed was ok if you are under 6 feet tall and do not roll over in your sleep...... There was only a little portable TV in the room. Room was not cleaned during my stay, and when I informed the receptionist on checking out she just shruged her shoulders and said "what can I do about that now" Will be back to Hamburg again but wont be staying at this hotel.

I spent two nights there with friends. Well located for nightlife on the Reeperbahn, it’s a standard 3* hotel at a good price. Neither specific + nor – to add.
"would be a great hotel in a different location"

4 of us stayed in this hotel at the beggining of december for the christmas markets for 2 nights. We arrived early evening a decided to go get some drinks and nighlife before unpacking, and boy did we find it! this hotel is right on the Reeperbahn! turn the corner and you find yourself confronted by prostitutes and sex shops, didnt feel very safe as a group of women. The hotel itself was brilliant, some of the staff were very helpful in giving us directions, some werent. we had too rooms between the four of us, and our room was huge! could easily could of slept all four of us, was so much wasted space. but it was a nice surpise, room and bathroom was over all very clean, breakfast was lovely too, just a continental style. the hotel is about 5 minute walk to the St Pauli underground stop, which we used to get to the markets, took about 10 15 mins to get to the stop we needed, and the markets were pretty easy to find from there. This hotel would difinatly be more expensive if it was in a different location, the name is abit deceiving.
