"Quaint and Historical"
Better have your eyes peeled to see it before you miss it. On a corner very close to the ocean. La Casa del Camino is a local favorite (even for some Hollywood elite) It was opened in 1929, which gives it 'that' smell and old feel. Nicely maintained and attached to a K'Ya which I heard was wonderful. The rooftop restaurant is fantastic. A must do. We […] had an early lunch there which was a great idea because by noon it was packed. This historic, Mediterranean-style hotel and I heard that each room is different. Bar in a lobby was busy and a fire burned there also accented with candles. You want something different and comfortable? This is your place. However, my 13 year old thought it was 'creepy' - the dark wood and older decorating style (which matched the historical hotel was just not up to her POSH expectations.) I enjoyed it. Oh, the roof top restaurant is accessible even if you are not staying there. Almost 360 view - totally worth a stop. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was not what I wanted no ocean view poor location and access to beach to much money and the room was as big as my bathroom way over priced never againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

first room was too small, fridge did not work tv channels were limited. changed to a newly refurbished room with "partial" ocean view. nicely decorated room with nice view. tv,fridge worked well. upgrade was at same price. full breakfast included.very satisfied. if comparable room available at reasonable price, would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel. Rooms are a bit small but have a great view of the hotel. Our room were at the end of the hall and it was still pretty noisy from the downstairs bar at 11-12pm. Overall a great boutique hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historic hotel, great location, Party Central"
This classic hotel has a great ambience, good coffee and breakfast, super roof-top terrace for drinks and nibbles; however, you must be able to be go with the flow of young folks having a good time. Our room (queen standard) was built when the bathroom was down the hall and renovated with it's own small bathroom (nicely tiled). So the room was so small […] that the bed's headboard was parallel to the mattress! It was nicely appointed, but difficult to walk around with two people in the room. We would ask for a larger and more expensive room next time. Yes, we are ok with a little noise and it was quiet after 10:00 pm. We would stay here again - hotel staff were very good and we like historic buildings. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I had a very good experience at this hotel. The only bad thing I noticed was the front desk staff. When I arrived they seemed a little unfriendly. Maybe it was because I am a younger guest (21 years old) but everything else was great. It wasn't a big deal. Definitely an area for older people and families. Not much to do for the young crowd. "Convenient Laguna location but a bit shabby."
An old spanish style building of character but a little shabby. Great roof terrasse for cocktails. The tiny room was cramped with, in the room, free standing, air conditioning unit. The bathroom was too small for comfort. More importantly, the unlocked windows (literally no locks on windows) opening over the dumpsters, and easily accessible from the […] street made it impossible to leave anything in the room. "Quaint & Friendly!!!"
Just stayed at this hotel for a friend's wedding and had a great time! The staff is wonderful, very helpful and make you feel at home. The hotel is older, but very quaint and very comfortable. The Rooftop Lounge is great- MOJITOS!! The Aji Poke appetizer is fabulous - and when it gets chilly, they give you a blanket! Bartender Pete is awesome and the […] view is gorgeous. I enjoyed the hotel and the restaurant and bar set up was very convenient. The staff was really accommodating and friendly. The only tricky part was parking since it is not adjacent to the hotel. The room was pretty tiny but made up for that with character and location. Overall I liked it and thought it was a good value for the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved the Spanish theme!"
Great stay! Wish could have stayed longer. Room was clean, staff was kind. Definitely try the restaurant downstairs, K'ya. Food was delicious! Small plate style, for my boyfriend and I, we got 5 dishes which was more than plenty. Roof top was amazing and open to guests 24 hours.Genuine Expedia guest review
Rooms were very tiny and the toilet looked like one you would find in a public restroom! The location is awesome but the hotel is VERY loud. Not very relaxing but right on the beach.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My boyfriend love Laguna and had talked about staying here several times. The hotel is adorable and very well kept and the location is great! The parking was a little challenging as there is very limited space for loading/unloading, but the lot for hotel guests was a very short walk. It was also a little difficult to park a full-sized SUV in the lot […] as the space was tight. The staff was wonderful and the location is perfect. Definitely recommend Rooftop and K'Ya! "Steps away from admiring Ocean"
My trip was meant to be for relaxation, I definetly got that when stepping out of my room to admire the Ocean which is steps away from the Hotel, however, in the Hotel, unfortunately there was too much partying going on as far as the Bar was concerned, and the Rooftop was jammed with people drinking, that we could not find a place to sit....Maybe if […] we were to go again at much more peaceful times of the year, (i think it was spring break for a lot of people)...it would be more pleasant. My husband and I stayed there 3 nights. Service was excellent. Room was somewhat small but clean. It was a cold weekend so lack of heat was not good but they gave us several blankets. Breakfast is a real treat every morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Obsessed with this hotel!"
I was soo pleasantly surprised with the charm of la casa del camino. The service was over the top and the rooms were cute clean and comfortable. The ocean was just steps outside my door. Loved everything about my experience. I will be back as soon as I can!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Parent's 25th Anniversary Getaway"
I had paid for a room with a partial room and their room had no view at all. We've stayed at this hotel before, great location, folks are very nice and we especially love going up on balcony and have a drink and appetizer with the ocean right in front of us. Great location, great feel, great service, but the rooms were quite small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the hotel was right by the ocean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and clean. It reminds me of a little hotel in Italy. We enjoyed the rooftop bar both for drinks and breakfast. I hope to stay there again when visiting Laguna Beach. It was amazing!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For a $200+ a night room, save your $! The rooms are nothing like advertised. Even the so called suites are basically a small square box. Hardly anywhere to put your cloths. Bathrooms are extremely small. Even though the hotel personnel made an attempt to be accommodating, nothing could make up for the inferior rooms. "Very noisy room"
I was located next to a room which they use as the hotel office so the door slams shutting it like a thousand times in the day. My window was overlooking a patio where it was like the fix room/wear house where dishes and stuff where making noises all day long plus the employees conversations. Outsite in the hallway was the elevator taking all the locals […] to the rooftop bar so all kind the people chatting right out of my door up until the bar was close. "Extraordinary service and dining"
My fiancée and I had a superb stay at this older hotel. The service and attitude from every hotel employee was professional, warm and welcoming. The small-plate dining at Kya Bistro was fantastic - you cannot go wrong with just about any item on the menu. The complimentary breakfast buffet for hotel guests was perfect - signature egg dishes, bacon, […] chicken-apple sausage, fresh pastries, build-your-own oatmeal and much more. If it appears this review is food-centric it is because the dining is first-rate. We rented a designer suite, and as others have noted, the rooms are on the small side. This is not really a place for families with kids, but for romantic weekends or for business travelers able to get off the beaten path, this Casa is wonderful. Great location in Laguna Beach. Hold your breath when you park in the Hotel lot, however. Spaces can be at a premium and you may need Navigation just to pull in the tight spaces. Once you are parked, stay parked. Don't worry - the hotel provides an excellent escape you won't find need to leave from. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was the smallest too I have stayed in since some hotels in Europe years ago! The sink was in the "bedroom" and Large space heater was under the window, further Erich g the floor space in the room. A side note- the first morning they had complementary coffee in the lobby. The second morning, there was none. When I asked the hotel front desk where […] the coffee is, he shrugged and said "there might be some down in the restaurant". "good first stay, alright second stay..."
I went to this hotel for the first time last year for my birthday and we had a great time. we got a Queen room that ended up having a side view of the ocean. it was super small (so small the sink isn't even in our bathroom), but we had an awesome dinner at K'Ya and everything was great. this year, I went back for hopefully an even better time, and booked […] a Queen Suite with a Partial View. this suite had NO VIEW of the ocean. NOTHING. all we got was a partial view of the other side of the building. I complained to the front desk and apparently Expedia lumps in 'NO VIEW' and 'PARTIAL VIEW' in the same. they were booked so couldn't move me. then the WiFi wouldn't work at all and they told me to bring my phone down to the front desk to fix it. really? but...then they sent a free bottle of wine up to the room so that was nice. dinner was great at K'Ya, but the waiters asked to take our plates at least 6 times before we were done. I just wanted to have a nice birthday dinner in peace. ): overall I really like this hotel, and my first visit was amazing. but it seems like the attitude is "let's do a bunch of bad things and then make up for it with a few tiny good things" which is a bummer. the location is amazing but I probably won't be back, at least not to celebrate anything special. We were glad to walk in & find AC running. The room is small, but pleasant. I wish the mini-fridge was a little bigger, or a little higher off the floor. You couldn't ask for nicer staff. "Our Hotel Experience"
The hotel location was good for the area. The Hotel was chosen because it had a roof top deck, which was great. We were there on the weekend and the deck was jammed with people. The majority, by,far, were not people from the hotel. The wait to get a table or a place to sit down was a 30 minute from lunch to late in the evening. Breakfast was good and […] parking for the hotel was included, but the room that we had was 12 X 12 and absolute minmal amenities in the bathroom for $229 per night plus person charge of 12.95. Fortunately we spent the majority of our time outside the Hotel. If a better room were available we would go back. They do show a picture of the bed in our room on their web site. I thought it was a mistake, it was in a small cove with eight inches on each side and that was correct. JCK Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"small room, but everything included"
the room was very small, but the bed was very comfortable (great comforter) and the shower was great. the only problem was the noise level from the street. we were in room 316, so we could hear all traffic and car noise from both PCH and the side street. the room is fine for what you get- awesome location (walking distance to laguna's main streets & […] beaches), free breakfast, BEAUTIFUL rooftop bar & great restaurant right downstairs. our room was only $160 through expedia for a queen partial ocean view (you had to look far to the right to see the ocean), so it was worth it, but i don't think i would have paid more than $200 to stay there Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Cute Historic Hotel"
My wife and I live locally, but wanted to stay near the beach for our anniversary, so we are familiar with the surrounding hotels....there is a lot to choose from, but this go around we chose La Casa del Camino. The hotel is historic, and for us that is part of the charm. Don't expect the rooms to be huge....in fact the regular rooms are quite tiny, […] but we knew that going in. However, the room had a flat screen tv, fridge, wardrobe, free bottled water, and a great shower. You are there to be at the beach, not be in your room, so the lack of space was no big deal to us. The location is awesome, literally steps from the sand. They also will bring down beach chairs for you to enjoy. The breakfast was great. You can eat it in there breakfast room, or take it up to the roof deck....which is beautiful and has wonderful views of the coastline. The service was great too. I don't remember the girls name who checked us in, but she had red hair and glasses. At any rate she was awesome. Through conversation she found out my wife and I were reviewing our vows...and getting married to each other for the third time (long story). She very sweetly had a chilled bottle of champagne, along with a personal note sent up to our room that night. It was a nice touch, and made our evening extra special. It showed your staff is one that pays attention to detail and goes the extra mile for their guests. Thanks you! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
