"Conveniently located near tourist shuttle"
Liked the location and the lobby bar and roof top bar and dining but the room was very small and the bathroom was the smallest I've ever experienced. Don't know if I would reccomend it to others or stay there again. The staff was nice and helpful however.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to beach"
Good location close to beach, not too far from main part of town. Building a little worn but nice rooftop deck, good bar and restaurant, and helpful staff. I forgot my cell phone charger and they allowed me to charge my phone at the front desk whenever I needed it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Really good, one of the best values I could find."
For the Area, this was the best I could find that also had some Ocean View. The good: Nice room, Nice walk to the beach. Had a some what secluded beach, just across the street and down a stairway, which was set apart from the rest of the public beaches by some large rocks and cliffs. Free shuttle around town (provided by City, not hotel). The Bad: Small […] room, still pretty expensive for my pocket depth. :) a little far from downtown, but made easy by the free shuttle. "The place to be in Laguna Beach"
Beautiful hotel with very busy rooftop bar and downstairs restaurant. The breakfast was creative and good although no eggs and accompaning meats. Helpful staff and bonus to get towels, chairs, umbrellas to take to beach behind. Our only disappointment was our partial sea view room was mostly rooftops of homes behind. Overall, a lovely place.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the beach, friendly staffs."
Hotel staffs are very pleasant, friendly & professional. They make you feel welcome as soon as they greeted us. We stayed in a Deluxe queen partial view. The room is nice & comfy but I was very disappointed & suprised how tiny the room was. My 1 eye jack russel dog had a hard time & was very afraid to walk around without bumping into corners. Next time […] I'll make sure we get a suite (room)rather than the view. I was so focus about the view that I forgot that our old blind precious dog need lots of space. "room with two bars attatched"
I love this hotel, its location within easy walk to the center, and its casual atmosphere. There are very successful bars that have overtaken the lobby and the rooftop. The rooms can be a bit confining, but have an old Spanish charm too. Beach towels and parking are provided gratis. The staff is happy and competent. Given that the breakfast was excellent, […] and the beach only steps away, it really is living high in Laguna. . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
For the current 4.1 stars this hotel has been rated, I'm surprised to see such high marks. Had the feeling of a Hostel, busy hallways with no security. Rooms were loud and dingy. I assume we got the worst room in the building but cannot confirm. Was the size of a shoe box and right above the bar where there was live music every night. It is in a perfect […] location, walking distance to downtown and right by the water. Don't know if the $$/night is worth it. Would have rather stayed at a Travelodge for that kind of money. "Shocked at price increase"
We were shocked to have a $90 increase in room price along with a $12.00 "resort fee" in a year. Was told it was because of renovations made yet really not much that we saw changed.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel was awesome! Our room decor was amazing (#307). Rooftop is great, and super close to beach access. Breakfast was excellent. Cannot way enough positive things about this hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
"So close to the beach, awesome breakfast"
So close to the beach, awesome breakfast and such friendly staff and nice rooms.. Wifi was good and showers were awesome I loved this hotel and wil most likely be staying here everytime I go to Laguna they have a restaurant ontop of the roft overlooking the ocean and the food is so affordably cheap and good I loved it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clearly this was a charming old hotel in its day, but I found it depressing. Maybe because they put me in room 105, one floor below the lobby. My room was dark and I felt like I was in the basement. I had to turn on every light in the room even during the day and it was still dark. Kind of sad considering I was on Laguna Beach. The elevator looked like […] a service elevator and was dirty. My room was down the hall from an exit door to the street, which remained open to the street all day. I had to close it myself at night. Not a very secure feeling. "Warm and inviting environment"
This was our first stay at this hotel and we loved it. The decor is warm and inviting. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating. The hotel guests were friendly as well, giving me the sense they were enjoying their stay as much as us. I highly recommend this hotel and look for to our next stay.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice, but small and loud."
This hotel is an old building that has been refurbished. Location to the beach was excellent! We stayed in a regular room on the 2nd floor - extremely small bathroom. The breakfast was very good and was included in the $12 daily amenities charge as was parking in their lot up the street. We were told it was a highlight to take our breakfast trays up […] to the rooftop tables overlooking the ocean, however there was a man using a loud power sprayer the whole time up there and due spraying down the tables we were never able to sit down. Each morning there was a loud trash truck around 7am. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the bar area was fun. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"closet in the dark!"
This historic hotel was a very nice building; however I wish I would have been warned about the size of the room. It was very small; listed as a deluxe queen. Additionally, I would have brought a flashlight had I known how dark the room was going to be! My advice would be to get ready before the sun goes down! The roof top bar and the restaraunt were […] a plus; along with the service. For the price I would say thumbs down. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Killer rooftop and restaurant, small pricey rooms"
My girlfriend and I have stayed here twice. Once in one of the surf suites and once in a standard suite. Both had partial ocean views, which are really not worth any extra $$. The rooms are clean, but quite small. You are certainly paying for the premium location-close to the beach and close enough to Broadway. Chief positives: -unbeatable sunset […] viewing at rooftop bar -delicious small plate dining at Kya Bistro -breakfast included Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, rooms need updating"
The location is excellent - you are right next to a lovely cove where you can enjoy sunbathing and/or playing in the water. You are also walking distance to the small downtown area of Laguna Beach. Service was great, particularly the lobby staff (both the front desk and the staff at the lobby bar). However, the rooms do need updating - both my room […] and my parents room had a persistent smell that I attributed to either old furniture or carpets and even though the room looked clean enough to my eyes, this always made me feel somewhat uneasy. I'd recommend addressing this smell issue at the very least and perhaps removing the carpets in favor of tile or hardwood floor. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I could not be happier with this place. The breakfast each morning was wonderful, and the roof top bar is open for guests to lounge even before its open to the public. The beach was two steps away and be sure and check out your free beach towel from the front desk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disappointing in many ways."
The queen rooms are beyond cramped. This poor hotel is disorganized and the customer service is lacking. The location is good but we would never stay here again. Overpriced small mediocrity. Avoid if you possibly can.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"July 4 th week"
Has a surf suite with ocean view. Staff was top notch - better than 5 star? The room was nice, updated bathroom - hallways are a bit tired- needs an update. Great food - vey popular rooftop bar. If you are looking for someplace quiet it's not for you between the bar and restaurant crowd and the trash trucks in the am. Nice beach and the staff carries […] chairs and umbrellas down for you. The hotel description was totally off the mark from the very start. First, we had to park down the street and have a bellman come to the car to unload. Then, I had to park my car in an ally lot a block away. Then, going down the hall to our tiny room it smelled like a homeless mans underwear. Finally, the room itself was the size of a large closet. "great hotel to kick back and relax next to the sea"
Wonderful hotel. On the ocean side of the street in beautiful Laguna Beach, this hotel was centrally located--you could walk to the beach from the hotel as well as nearby shopping and sightseeing. The Rooftop bar and grill was terrific, surpassed only by the million dollar views of the ocean and much of the Southern California coastline. In the summer […] time, the Rooftop is crowded, so get there early for a seat with a view. The mojitos and the coconut shrimp were the best! loved this place. will definitely be back. an oasis in the hustle and bustle of orange county. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Roof top lounge is great. Rooms nice. Parking is across street, but free. Steps to the beach. Didn't want to leave.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Last minute trip, booked a pet friendly room. Was unaware of the $35 pet fee, and there are only 3 or 4 rooms that pets are allowed and all are on the bottom floor. "Poor value for money"
Not a very positive experience. Cheaply renovated motel type place. Poor value for the money & a $12 resort fee to add to the insult !. They offered me a nicer room for a $40 upgrade & I must say it looked nice in comparison to the one I had. However $40 in addition to the $169 I had already paid did not seem reasonable so I passed. "La Casa Del Camino, Laguna Beach"
Great hotel. Great location. Historic hotel, so rooms are on the small side, but more than adequate. Staff was great. They even take chairs & umbrellas down to the beach for you. Just steps to the beach. Fantastic rooftop deck with some of the best views in Laguna. Here's the downside. Because of the views and bar on the rooftop deck, everyone in Laguna […] goes there. So crowded on the weekends that you can't even get a table after 4pm. They say it's first come, first serve, which is understandable. But they should have some portion of the space reserved for paying guests. It's not right when you're a paying guest to not be able to use hotel facilities, which includes the rooftop deck. I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel, location, ocean views and happy hour"
We needed a quick romantic getaway from LA and La Casa del Camino was perfect! We have been to Laguna many times and have been to some of their best places like Casa Laguna which are $300-$400 a night. This trip we only had one night to stay. We got a great deal that included, a partial ocean view king room,a full hot breakfast and free parking priced […] at $179. After using my Expedia rewards $50 coupon it was on $129 tax included! Although the room was on the small side it was comfortable with beautiful Spanish inspired old world charm. The hotel is in a perfect location, a short block away from the beach. Walk down a pathway or sit up on the overlook. Best Happy hour with delicious drinks and half price food from the lobby restaurant K'ya. You must try the lobster risotto or Lamb chops only $6 during Happy Hour. The staff at the desk and throughout the hotel were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. They gave us a late check out and access to the rooftop after hours where we sipped our own champagne, while looking at the ocean view. The hotel charges $12 resort fee which for beach chairs, towels which they bring down and set up for you, but it's well worth it. Would go back again, no doubt. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I have never been in a room where the shower was nearly as big as the room (small) They had wedding in reception area so no dinner service that night and had to go out by side entrance, Came back to hotel at 11 in evening went to get in bed full of sand and air con not workingGenuine Expedia guest review
Unfortunately, I got the worst room in the hotel. Don't accept room 104!!!! Or probably 204 or 304. 104 was right by garbage takeout, pickup and alley. Very small room. "A hotel find in Laguna Beach."
We hadn't been to Laguna Beach in 15 years. In searching hotels online, was interesting to see many of the old hotels still there (with improved facades). The Inn at Laguna Beach is a beautiful, yet pricey choice ... pretty standard upscale hotel. We wanted something more interesting, so I did a pre-anniversary drive up to Laguna from our home in San […] Diego. Saw this hotel - La Casa del Camino - and thought it had an interesting location and street appearance. Checked it out online and learned it was also a hotspot for locals with a large, open rooftop bar, plus a very nice restaurant on the lobby level. We stayed two nights, walked the 1/4 mile to downtown Laguna for sightseeing with shops lining the way. Had a blast both afternoons/evenings on the roof and met many interesting people. Rooms are a bit eclectic - most themed in unusual ways. We had views of the Pacific. Very nice to have drinks, dinner and a room all close together so no parking or driving hassles. Price is very moderate for Laguna, and service/comfort factor very personalized. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very small and charming hotel. Our room was right off the street, so it was a little loud, but we didn't mind. The colors of the room were beautiful, but it was very tight for a king, bathroom is extremely small, no bath just stand up shower. Perfect location, and complimentary breakfast that comes with resort fee is excellent!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"cute boutique hotel"
I absolutely love the architecture of this hotel. It is a beautiful 192? Mediterranean building, complete with a small courtyard and a great rooftop bar/cafe. Their restaurant was closed for lunch so I did not get to try it. I stayed in the queen/no view room, and it was a bit small, but really quaint. The sink was located in the room instead of the […] bathroom. The front desk staff was friendly, and accommodating. The location was good, but there is a drug & alcohol rehab facility across the street, which had some loiterers hanging around. There is no pool, but you are just a flight of stairs away from the beach. The parking for the hotel is across the street. The hotel is close to shops and cute cafes. My only complaint is that they were doing maintenance work during breakfast time (construction and pressure cleaning on the rooftop cafe), so not only could we not enjoy the beautiful view from the roof during our complimentary breakfast (which had a nice selection of foods), but we could not even sit out in the adorable downstairs courtyard because of the over-spray from above. Seems like they should wait until after checkout time, or at least until after breakfast is over to do that kind of work. There was also a brief moment where the hot water ran out during a shower, but they were nice enough to offer us a little discount for our inconveniences. I don't know if I would stay there again. Pros: Friendly staff, beach view from roof, chairs/umbrellas for beach, less than a block from the beach, excellent "free" breakfast (scrambled eggs with veggies, crispy bacon, french toast, etc), fantastic shower (king handicap room - dual head shower), spanish style minimalist room, hd tv, and inexpensive recreation fee (e.g., breakfast, parking, […] wifi, beach equipment). Cons: Parking lot is very small and not connected to hotel (1/2 block away), rooftop bar is getting renovated so very few tables, section of beach is quite small, and lights in room flicker like candles (very minor - only annoying if reading) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We had two rooms. Our daughter stayed in one and for some reason housekeeping came at night once and never again. We even asked for housekeeping. "Great hotel for younger, hipper crowd"
The hotel is cute, trendy, and very friendly. However, we had just come from a stay at a villa in Mexico, so the room seemed especially small. There was no where to put all our bags.
