Excellent location in Downtown close to Quincy Market and the harbour. Lovely building and big rooms. Slightly disappointed with some aspects of the service. We needed to use the sofa bed and it was expected that we would make this up ourselves. We were also unable to get a kettle to make up formula for the baby. Overall very good and would stay here again.

If you are looking for a hotel with lots of facilities e.g. bars resturants or health spa's this is not for you.. If you fancy a staying in a spectacular building, the original sky scraper in Boston, which is in the ideal tourist spot for exploring the city this is for you. No resturant is not a problem, there must be a dozen excellent resturants within 50 yards of the hotel, 50 or more within 200 yards. The suites are excellent with masses of space althogh the kitchen facilities are minimalistic. Woudn't want to cook a meal there! Worth a visit to the viewing gallery at the top, just like the Empire State Building, spectacular views.

The staff in the lobby is very competent and friendly. We stayed for two nights in a suite in the second floor, but the heater was so loud we couldn't sleep and woke up many times. Maintenance came in the second day but didn't repair anything or left a message why thgey didn't fix it! So the second night was as the first one! The staff showed a bit generosity the next day but we don't trust maintenance to fix the heater now. So check the loudness of the heater in the room before you stay overnight.

This hotel really caters to families. The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The location is minutes away from all the family-friendly attractions and you can save a few dollars on eating out by eating a few meals in. Guest rooms were expansive and sleeping accomodations for 4 were well worth the price. Beautiful observation deck on 24th floor--felt like we got another attraction for free!

We had a terrific weekend at the Marriott Boston Custom House Villas. My husband and I spent the weekend with our 3 children. The location was perfect, the villa was immaculate and we used the pool facility at the Marriot Long Wharf which was in walking distanct from the Marriott Boston Custom House. We would definitely stay there again.

We were staying with family in the burbs but decided to chnage it up and spend our last night in the city. I couldnt have been happier with the choice. It wasn't the cheapest place in the area but clearly the best bang for the buck. Location Location Location. Could this hotel be in a better spot in the city. It became a perfect meeting place for friends. Very easy to find (being the only clock tower). The roomwas freshly painted and very comfortable. Large sitting area and seperate bedroom. The upper floors offered a very cool game room, laundry and spotless workout facility. Great vistas from EVERY window. Would 100% stay there again next time I'm in the city.

Reviewed by c of pleasanton on Nov 20, 2008
This Marriott hotel is the cream of the crop for Boston visitors with mixed agendas. The accomodations are more than just a bedroom. The condo convenience lends itself to a bit of self catering if desired, non bedroom space for entertainment and in general a wonderful atmosphere of historic luxury meant just for you and your family. The location is perfect for the carless traveler who is willing to explore the city via the "T" and on foot. All this for less than the average cost of a similar 4* hotel. We would definitely visit again during our daughter's 4 year college years.

Although the overall hotel was great, I did however miss having room service. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, but I did miss the luxury of having coffee in bed. One of my most cherished luxuries when I travel.
