The hotel staff was fantastic and very accomodating for many of our needs and the location was fantastic for access to the beach (2 blocks away) and the South Beach night life on Ocean Drive! Pros - Area near Miami south beach - Property is well managed Cons - Be aware of parking charges (although its cheaper than public parking overnight) and high prices at nearby restaurants - the entry/lobby of the hotel is not impressive but rooms are quite nice.

I really had a good time staying at this hotel. It has the best location ever. 1 block away from the beach, Ocean drive and all the fun (bars, restaurants). It's 4 blocks away from Lincoln Rd - shopping street. The staff there was very kind, helpful, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. Definitely will be back next year!!!

Hotel was spacious. Location is perfect. Bed slept excellent. Had slight issue with ceiling leaking when it rained really hard one morning. They switched me to a room next door that was the same as the one I was in with no leak. Then took care of me nicely due to inconvenience. I would certainly stay there again.

I really enjoyed staying at The Impala hotel despite a glitch in the reservation through Expedia; a Deluxe room with a king bed was booked for 3 persons so we had to use a roll away bed for the third person. Chrystal (sp?), the manager called me prior to our arrival and offered to refund us but it was impossible to book another hotel without paying […] much more so we ended up keeping the reservation despite being a bit annoyed at having to use a roll away bed for the 3rd person. However, once we arrived in Miami and at the Impala, my friends and I (3 women in our early 30s) were not disappointed by our room. Very clean room in a nicely decorated boutique hotel. The location, that is, South Beach, a couple blocks away from the beach was essential to us because all we wanted was go lay on the beach all day, eat out, and last but not least go clubbing. I would definitely recommend the Impala if you want to have a stress-free hotel experience. Nice stone floors throughout instead of carpet which gets dirty and smells even in the rooms which was nice. Huge standup shower completely redone as well. Having traveled extensively we know you get what you pay for, however, we do not expect to be told we could change our room when we,ve merely requested that 2 of the 3 light bulbs in the bathroom be replaced. Also, the room though small was clean and could have been charming if the bed hadn't creeked so loudly it woke us out of a deep sleep. Also, plumbing […] issues prevented the taking of a consistently hot shower. Finally, the valet parking service was so ridiculous, I'm afraid all who read this will think I am surely exxagerating when I tell you they consistently would tell us the car would be out front in 15 to 20 minutes and the first time it took One hour and the second time it took 50 minutes!! In fairness to the hotel, the valet service was subcontracted and they did refund us half of our parking charges. Finally the "breakfast" which was provided at the supposedly excellent restaurant on site was hardly that. . . a cup of coffee and a crusty croissant. Long story short . . . when in South Beach, spend a little extra for a hot shower, quicker valet, and a quiet bed. Read more

The Impala Hotel is a quaint hotel with 17 rooms. Our room was clean with a very comfortable feel. The motif was beautiful with raw wood and wrought iron on the bathroom vanity and closet door. They had a large flat screen TV with a large selection of channels, radio with a CD player,and a comfy bed with nice linens. No phone in the room so notification […] needed to be done in person. We walked to the beach only one and 1/2 blocks away, other areas of interest like Lincoln Street were within walking distance of about 6 blocks. Parking was a small issue as we were unsure where to pull up, we had to double park and they ask that you call about 20 minutes ahead of time for pickup, but you could come and go as you please without any additional cost. Registration is done at the Impala with credit card check in at the neighboring hotel. Reasonably priced. Read more

The location is good and the room is nice, though there are some issues with older hotels that you just have to expect, like leaky showers. I'm sure not all the rooms are like that. The staff was short with me on every occasion and didn't seem the least interested in anything that might make the stay better. We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 in the afternoon and were not expecting to check into our room until 3:00. I spoke with a nice gentleman at the front desk who told us we could leave our baggage at the hotel until it was time to check in. We were also allowed to valet park our car early. So we were able to go to our room and settle in early. It was perfect since it was early in the day we were able to go out and hit the beach! The location is perfect! Right by all the shops and a block away from the beach! Plus, you can visit the gelato shop where the Jersey Shore cast worked! For the price we paid for the hotel stay, it was definitely a nice spot. Not the top, best, first class hotel but it suits your needs. The room was cozy and comfortable and the bathroom was roomy enough for two people to get ready comfortably.
