OK on most accounts. Room was clean, breakfast was OK, staff was friendly and helpful, location was good for getting to most places in Asheville. I would and may stay there again. I wish the room had a chair to sit in to watch TV or relax. The only chair was a desk chair. I don't get the great reviews but maybe I don't have enough comparisons.

Can easily hear rooms surrounding BUT the hotel meets all other areas of satisfaction. Wonderful location.Clean showers and bathroom. Room is neat and clean as well. Breakfast has a good selection for continental with cold and hot options. Staff very pleasant. I will definitely return.

Room is very nicely designed to maximize space. The shower was great! Only issue is we didn't get our room cleaned between nights, so we had to get fresh towels from the desk the second night. Very convenient I-40. Hot breakfasts are always welcome--but my husband has to have bacon and they only had sausage, so luckily IHOP was right next door.

I love staying at this hotel, it is my 2nd time in Asheville & I rather stay here than anywhere else, it is close to restaurants, gas stations & shopping malls. The staff is very polite, they went above & beyond for me. Will be staying here in every future visit if possible.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The only negative was the HVAC. The unit was loud going off and on all night long. There did not seem to be a way to turn on the fan for a constant level of sound.

Good as always Excellent hotel. I failed to tell them about a bulb being burned out in one of the bedside lamps in Room 120. They always remember me. My husband and I stayed there several times. When he died, they were extremely helpful to me and all of the family who stayed there. They still remember me and take good care of me.

Newly remodeled hotel. Clean, we'll kept. Exactly what you need for a comfortable and affordable room. Ride to and from Biltmore was about 10 mins. Downtown was also 10 mins away. Good location for easy access. Staff recommended Tupelo Cafe for dinner and it was amazing!

The hotel staff was very helpful and professional. Our room was as described and very clean. Free breakfast was not cooked on the location, but was very good considering it was included in the room price, so no complaints at all. Hotel access was easy, but far enough from the main road to have almost no traffic noise.We were well satisfied.

Rooms are a bit small but sufficient for a short stay. A little more sound proofing in the walls might also be nice as I heard a normal conversation from the next door room early one morning. Still, I would stay there again if the need arises. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

Stayed here to visit the Biltmore House. Fairly clean (nothing to keep me from returning), convenient location, fair price, ok breakfast. Would return to save $$ since sightseeing is main goal not spending time in a hotel.

Easy location off the interstate, close to everything (10 minute drive to downtown). Perfectly decent renovation makes room feel very comfortable. Even though it's not a newer hotel, they did a nice job of freshening up the rooms and making them feel new. It's obvious it was an older Bed was hard, but I slept fine. Breakfast was good, on par with other good hotels, maybe just a small notch under Hampton Inn's typical breakfast (which I like a lot). Staff was very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job! The best part was we were very happy and comfortable here and didn't have to pay too much. I am an exhaustive shopper and this was the best deal I could find with >5 days before our trip. Better bang for your buck than the neighboring hotels for sure. Read more

The hotel itself is convenient located in close proximity to the highway. However, I had requested a non-smoking room. Getting off the elevator the smell of cigarette smoke was SO strong, that I didn't notice the smell of smoke in the room. As the night worn on, the smell of smoke became stronger. Not a pleasant experience at all.
