I came to Greeneville to do some genealogical research. The hotel was a convenient and comfortable base to operate from. Thank you. And I found out what I needed to know about my great great aunt and the Civil War. (She was instrumental in getting a Confederate major general shot, in downtown Greeneville.)

The attendand was courteous and friendly. The room was nice and clean. The bed slept very well, but the bathroom fan was extremely noisy and it looked like mold on the shower curtain liner

The room was typical, bed, chair, dresser, desk, all in good condition. Only issue was mildew starting to accumulate in the shower. Staff was friendly and courteous. Lots of restaurants within walking distance however the one across the street had a very loud band that could be heard in the room, not the hotel's fault but consider asking for a room towards the rear as ours was near the front. Over all a good hotel, would recommend to others.

We picked this hotel because we were going to Wolf Laurel Ski Resort. The Holiday Inn Express in Erwin was conveniently located in between the resort, and nearby Johnson City. It was only about a 15 minute drive to the resort and about a 20 minute drive to Johnson City. There was also a gas station RIGHT next to the hotel, so it made it convenient to […] get late night snacks! The staff was SUPER friendly and was always smiling. They were very knowledgable of the area also when asked for directions to nearby hiking trails and waterfalls. Only problem I had was, our room had a "wet towel" smell to it, which turned out to be the shower curtain and went away after day 2. All in all it was a great stay. Had a problem with the sink draining, called the desk and they sent someone up to fix it right away. We were put in a handicaped room, not sure why. The only thing that was irritating is when they put out breakfast, they would not put enough out for the people they had. For example they would just put out 1 or 2 bananans […] at a time, same with the gravy - just 1 or 2 servings so you constantly had to wait till they brought out more. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were super friendly, and very knowledgeable. The lady on the night shift went out of her way to assist us. And the breakfast buffet was great, I wasn't expecting scrambled eggs, and biscuits with gravy. I will defiantly be staying here again when I go snowboarding!

Handicapped accomodations could have been a little (and I do mean little) bit better, but certainly would not put me off staying there again. There was a grab bar in the shower that was loose -- not a big deal, but come become a legal liability should it come loose. The […] refigerator was put underneath the desk (which was in a poor position to be used in a wheelchair) made the desk inacessible. I didn't need the desk, but next time I might. Also, there wasn't a microwave in the room as advertised, but next I might need it, as well. All in all, however, I had a wonderful stay. Everyone was polite and accomodating. The Holiday Inn Express in Irwin Tn was a great place to stay the people was very nice the room was very clean overall it was a great place to stay, the only thing I wish had been different, I would have liked it to be a little closer to the speedway, But I would stay again.
