But not super-awesome. Outside areas are great...pool area is beautiful. Our room was just clean enough, but dirt hid in nooks and crannies. Carpet was stained. Room was odor-free. Front desk personnel were very friendly. I'd stay here again if I had to, due to the fact that this is the only pet-friendly hotel in Brandon.

The hotel was very nice. Much better than I had expected. With rates as low as $78 a night I don't see why you'd stay anywhere else in the area when this La Quinta is almost an identical experience to Marriot or Hilton.

Great room, beautifully decorated, but. door was broken and took me several times to open. Maintenance did fix the door the next day, but handle was still loose. Pool was nice, but had some cigarette butts that never got picked up. All in all an ok hotel that worked worked for us for what we were doing. The management just needs to pick it up a notch […] and they could easily turn this 3.5 star hotel to a 4 star plus with not a lot of work. I would give them another try. Read more

Nice place, super convenient location for shopping. If I had any complaint at all, I would say the breakfast buffet was overwhelmed by a christian youth group who ate, then sat at the tables after eating preventing other hotel guests from having a meal. Nice, quiet wooded area. Clean rooms. Bed mattress was a little lumpy but overall I recommend the hotel. Free Continental breakfast. Free WiFi. Plan on returning for my next week long visit.

First off we ordered a room with King size bed and they put us in a handicap room, which would have been OK if it were comfortable, the shower curtain was so close it rubbed you in the shower, shower head had a leak that shot out into the bathroom floor, it was leaking where the shower head screwed onto the pipe coming out of wall (could have been an […] easy fix, tried tightening it with hand but no luck just put towels on the floor to catch water.) the bed was so hard my wife and I either could sleep. Called the desk about the bed and their response was that they all were like that, asked for an eggcrate to put on it and they didn't have any. The overall cleanliness of the hotel had gone down some, we have stayed at that particular La Quinta our last 3 visits but I told my wife I think this is going to be our last time. This hotel is placed right next to I-75 so if you're a light sleeper take note. The bathroom was a little grimey. The tub was stained. A lot of the channels on the TV did not work and the walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbor flush and could hear their TV through the walls. It was ok, but if I had to choose again I would go somewhere else.

The location was perfect for my business needs. The room cleanliness was a bit to be desired. Not sure if the Maintenance/room service personnel had long black hair but the long, black hair was all over my beds, bathroom floor, and bathroom counter. It does not appear that the room was swept. Room entery doors are clustered in groups of four. The doors are metal and spring loaded inorder to close by themselves. Early in the morning as quests were packing out these spring loaded doors started slamming making it impossible to sleep. It was so bad that I checked out early and found another Hotel.

I was battling a leg infection and asked the front desk to relay to housekeeping that they needed to be careful, but to also please change my linen. Heat would not work. Maintenance main had gone home. Really cold at night. Comforter on bed very (very) dirty. They obviously never wash these! I will try Holiday inn express next door next time or sleep in my car :(.

It was only for one night and we were lucky to be put right next door to the noisiest guests in the nearly empty hotel. They slammed their door over and over from 11pm to 12pm then we had to hear it again at 7am at least 20 times as each person went down then back up for breakfast.
